I totally agree with u. I didn't know I needed a Xiao Zhan & Bai Lu drama until watching the scenes with them. Like the 10 minutes they were on screen together had so much chemistry. Ahhhhh hate iQiyi for not making them end up together - they need to step on some Legos for getting us all hyped about their pairing but not even giving it to us.

Yea, I mean at least this time we know how he got injured. But I feel if they didn't tell us - it would be such a big flaw in the drama because the dude is lying in bed and needs like 2 surgeries.

Oh, yes! I think its an issue for a lot of c-dramas though. Sadly because censorship is so strict for c-drama to get aired especially one for a military theme - we can expect a lot of scenes being edited out because they just couldn't get passed. But at least it is making sense - I have watched some c-dramas that the editing was so heavy handed that I missed a good chunk of the plot and constantly was like HUH? What is going on lol? Completely was lost lol.

ROFL, agreed. That scene was definitely censored for sure. The amount of thirsty people that were just thirsting after that beach scene was just crazy lol. So, idk about pure Chinese viewers though lol.

I guess another answer could be censorship - maybe the scene of him falling was just too graphic for them to want to air on tv. Let's not forget how harsh censorship can be lol. So, that could be answer reason.

Ahhh, I can't answer your question entirely lol. I think it's because they probably did remove a lot of GYY scenes. There are like videos being released of how even the beach scene was more - like they hugged and stuff. And if u actually watch it on the tv station - there are a lot more Xiao Zhan scenes. So, best I can say I think they edited it so he would have less scenes compared to the guy they wanted to make the ML at the end.

But totally agree. I wished they did show us how he got hurt and stuff - I feel it would have also added to the action parts since it would be interesting to see what his idea was. Just hearing about it is strange would have actually liked to see GYY climbing the cliff and stuff. I also feel it would make people understand more how big his injury was.

I don't even know why I came on this page - like I expected something different. Drama finished airing in 2019 and its about to be 2022.
Someone should just change the title to "Clownsville" at this point - made us into clowns so many times that i have lost count.

Is anyone else wondering when GL is going to come back and start training with everyone else? Like vacation has been long enough lol. I feel months have passed by (GYY has healed from his 2 surgeries)and he still hasn't returned and just being a secretary.

In terms of him not being the main lead. He is the ML for this drama - and actually when signing the contract for Ace Troops he was supposed to be 1st billing (there is documentation showing this when the drama was trying to get money - they had XZ 1st while the other guy was 2nd). But due to the other actor having a powerful backer (it tends to happen in c-entertainment) they were able to take the ML position from XZ & give it to the other guy.

That is probably why - when u look at iQiyi posts they will put his name first and than Xiao Zhans and than in parenthesis will write alphabetical order. They are trying to cover their asses because a new law was passed that when u sign a contract it will determine billing and they cannot change it afterwards. So, if they didn't do that XZ could, in a way, sue them.

But this is pretty normal in c-entertainment. It's not the first time someone took a 1st billing from someone else because they had more power. I can probably name a few from the top of my head. But new laws will probably change that so it won't be much of an issue in the future.

Yea I don't understand why they are so against them being in a relationship. U can be in a relationship and still get work done. I mean most of the people in the military are in a relationship lol - like half of the letters coming in are from their significant others. But its wrong to date someone within the military? Idk, that just doesn't make any sense to me lol

Idk I saw a trailer with the widow lol. So, I don't see it not happening at this rate. Unless he doesn't marry her but just takes care of her. But again I am putting hopeful thoughts in my head lol. We both know whats coming - might as well prepare ourselves for it lol. If in some weird way Bai Lu's character does end up with GYY. Ahhhh, I woud be so happy but won't hold my breathe lo.

Well the commander said he had 2 options 1. He can tell the truth and take all the blame but he would get kicked out the army or 2. Follow what Gu Yiye said and split the blame. But in this case it means that both will get punished and GYY is technically giving him an out and saving him. So, if anything GYY was being nice to GL by sharing the blame (when he didn't have to) and actually lying and saying it was both their ideas (which we know it isn't). That's why I said I didn't see anything wrong with what he did if anything u could say he lied but he only lied to protect his comrade GL from getting kicked out of the army. While GL just told the truth - if anything if he lied yes maybe most poeple wouldn't have minded but some people would thnk he took advantage of GYY's kindness of shouldering some of the blame for him.

Now to go to ur 2nd point. So with Nanzheng and GL - yes GYY met with Nanzheng first but let's not forget than JN told him to leave because GL was coming. He had no idea that they were going to get caught by the patrol officers because he had already left. But the moment he did find out he went to his commanding officer and told him the truth. Like u can't blame GYY for that situation because technically GL did get caught wtih Nanzheng - he was out with her at night. Only problem was with the poems that was GYY's. But GYY quickly resolved that issue once he found out so it didn't hurt GL in the long run and instead now his commanding officer knows that GYY likes JN (which he does). So, GL never actually got punished for that because GYY did tell the truth.

Ur last point about him not being soldier material when they broke up. Well, he is human after all. When someone u love just leaves u like that - it is goign to affect u in a bad way. And that is what happened to him. It would be weird if he just got up and did his normal routine without a care. It just means he never loved her from the start and we know he did. So makes sense that the shock of JUST breaking up like 5 minutes ago made him lose his concentration.
