I started the first episode. It's an ok watch but honestly why does the ML seem incompetent? The only thing he's been doing is just play a cold rich guy who spends his time flaunting his wealth. And the FL is the hot headed nice girl whom everyone loves because of whatever, except the jealous villain canon fodders obviously.
This is so cliché. Is there any show in which the ML is actually a competent rich guy and the FL less hot headed? Bruh I'm desperate T.T But well it's still entertaining, I watched it while doing my hair.
8.5 for the comedy and the fluff. I found myself skipping a lot in the end. The villains are too clichés. They concluded it well in the last episode even though the trial looked like a masquerade.
I also surprised myself starting to ship Sam Sik with Kang Ho out of nowhere. Well my ship sunk quite fast but still it was surprising. Mi Joo looks good too with Kang Ho but honestly I didn't even ship them at all.
I'm also shipping those 2 gangsters farmers. May they have a happy life in their farm.
My favorite characters were probably the lady with the mask and her husband, the Canadian guy and the twins.
I totally agree with you. However the only thing I liked about her was the moment he got better the first thing…
Yeah I could sense it that the storytelling is basic. The villains are clichés at best. The only things great are the acting and the relationship between the characters mainly Kang Ho and his kids. That's it. Just show me Kang Ho and his kids and I'm happy. His mom should go to the hospital.
I totally agree with you. However the only thing I liked about her was the moment he got better the first thing…
I think I'm gonna take my time to watch it. The end of episode 9 was pretty hard to digest. I watched lots of dramas with Lee Do Hyun so his acting brings me interest.
The way I was able to deal with that was to think that his mom naively thought prosecutors were safe, and if his…
Honestly I just think of her as a tyrant regardless of her naive thoughts, but thank you for the advice, but I don't think it will help me unfortunately.
Telling her kid to have only one profession since his birth is pure crazyness. Even though he's got other talents in other area, she still destroys his way to shine by himself in order to make him what she wants him to be. She suffered trauma from her husband's death and unwinded it all on her innocent son so that he would become her perfect puppet who'll have to obey her in every way. She destroys his belongings as if it belongs to her. It doesn't at all. He's his own person and she doesn't realize it at all.
At the same time I pity her character since she was a single mom who raised her son alone and had to deal with bigots who don't like her pig farm. But that's not a reason as to how she mistreated her kid since a young age.
Those bigots are idiots as well. What's the deal about having a pig farm in the countryside where other farms are also there? Where do they think they get meat from? The heaven? People looking down on farmers are perfect idiots, without farmers you cannot get food and without food you die. Honestly the only thing that keeps me watching is Kang Ho with his twins.
I watched until episode 9 I can't stand this mom at all.
She destroyed the files like that, after all the efforts her son had done. She wanted him to become a prosecutor and now that she found that he could be in danger, she panicked like that. What did she expect from the job of prosecutor? Even if Kang Ho didn't have any revenge and just remained a prosecutor, he still would have remained in a dangerous job. If she didn't want her son to be in danger, she would have encouraged him to do some less dangerous job.
It's one of the few dramas that I slowly watch and take my time to finish. One episode brings me interest and another one destroys it completely. I can't stand those kind of impulsive tyrannic character. She left scars on her son's legs when he was a kid, tried to drown him because she wanted him to walk again. She didn't feed him when he couldn't move his arms. She was emotionnaly abusive with him all along.
She should be in jail. No wonder it's called the Good Bad Mother. Her son's got some strong Stockholm syndrome to heal from.
I agree with their powers being too weak and underrated when they were fighting the mercenaries, but I think it…
Yeah for sure, it's always like that anyway with main characters, they get nerfed until the final fight, I agree with that Goku comparison. The scenes of that episode were pretty cool yup.
The final episode was a final bang. Honestly if other kdramas could have final episode like that more often, I would be quite happy ( not like that Reborn Rich cr$p).
When Lee Rang awakened his powers I was like "That's my boy!"I'm a bit more curious on Lee Rang and Lee Yeon's father. When Lee Yeon said that their dad told him that Lee Rang would be stronger than him, honestly this reminded me of Inuyasha and Sesshomaru. I'm pretty much the writers are otakus lmao.
Then when Ryuhei revealed that he was a Daitengu, I was like, bro you've got a Susanno? I would have called him Uchiha Madara but he died too easily as the main villain in this season. More like Walmart Madara.
I expected more struggle from Lee Yeon during the fight. The guy couldn't hold himself against fodders during the previous episodes but suddenly he's showing all his powers and lightning strikes the main villain like that, that's a level of disrespect I've never seen. The fight was still satisfying. All the fights were satisfying but the level scale of the characters' powers is too changing.
The romance and drama was there. My boy Lee Rang got his lil mermaid, I'm so happy. And there's Lee Yeon 1938 who plays the brother-in-law lol.
That Tulipa gal got her eye stolen by the dude she helped revive with all her passiveness. She was like, "I ain't involving myself in human or godly affairs, I just wait in my bureau, sipping my tea and trying to be as still as a drying pot plant". Well guess what? No one is gonna cry that you got what you deserved for not helping at all. That also explains why she didn't go after the godly trio after they helped kiling a bunch of humans. Usually she would have sent them in the freezer, I mean in freezing hell to punish them, but since she got blind, she can't do it now.
The fight in the hotel pretty much reminded me of a Tarantino movie or of Scarface. I halfway expected Lee Yeon to shout " Say hello to my little friend" lol. Best way to celebrate a wedding I guess. They should have added a wedding cake in there. He finally got back to his Ji Ah gal, he's whipped now.
Moo Young is alive and all fire. Bro needs to make his move on Hong Joo now. Come on they were literally kissing each other with their eyes.
I guess the Evil Mountain God was the one who stopped the car from working when Lee Yeon and Shin Ju wanted to go back to Talupia's house. The scene felt a bit creepy, just like expecting a monster jumping out of nowhere. He's the new big villain now yeah, and pretty much the most terrifying one. Season 1 had Voldemort's cousin and season 2 had Walmart Madara, now we've got a real demon in the house. I wonder when they will confirm season 3 now. Let's go! That's a 9/10 show!
OMG!! is season3 planned?? I am screaming rn already by seeing the lee Yeon of 1938 in the preview
From what I gathered yes. Besides this episode shows why they planned a 3rd season. The evil mountain god's power got divided into 4 objects that were sent to different places and time periods. We already have 2, so there are still 2 left.
Mwahaha this is where the fun begins! I want to see the evil King of the mountain fight against Ryuhei. A big fight between the 2 big villains of the season would be awesome. And Lee Yeon 1938 is gonna show up for the next episode from what I gather in the preview. The last episode will be a final Big Bang! Now I understand why they planned a season 3. Love it !
