What sparked my interest in learning it? LOL, isn't that obvious? Korean drama and movies, of course! hehe I fell in love with Korean culture as I became immersed in their cinema, and I happen to think the Korean language is rather beautiful. It's not as complicated as Japanese and sounds far more melodious. Although I do like Japanese as well I have no urge to learn it.
Anyway, while I can read and write the Korean characters it is not with any fluency at all. It's a challenge for me to read without first having to romanise the characters. First you romanise, then try to figure out what the word means in your language. It's a brain twister alright. I now have a greater appreciation of what a feat it must be for Asians to learn Western languages as the process of deciphering is likely to be the same for many. Do you speak, read or write any Mandarin?

I personally would not classify it as a great movie. Have I seen better movies? Yes, but it was a perfectly okay movie. It's definitely not a 3-iron, no, but it kept me entertained for the time I took to watch it. It depicts typical small town America so if you like these sort of movies then you'll like SLP.
I don't know if I'll be doing anymore articles. I have not been asked to do another article. Considering how unpopular my 1st weekend movie article was I doubt the editors will ask me to do another! LOL I'm totally open to it though. I'm not a good writer at all, but I like sharing my love of cinema with like-minded individuals. My only problem would be time. I've very busy offline so I often don't have time to do anything that's not connected to my work. Why do you ask?

Nice review on Buzzer Beat. My sentiments exactly! And if you loved Tatta Hisotu no Koi, then certainly you'll love Orange Days (same writer as Tatta). A brilliant little drama with lots of heart and some very sweet passionate kisses! :-)

The Last Fall
Silver Linings Playbook
The Lucky One
That's all I can think of for now. I'll throw some more at yah as they pop into my head. Enjoy! :-)

Haha, because they annoy me with the way how they act. Choi Jung Yoon for example is extremely whiny and childish in almost every role I've seen her in. She has this dreadful high-pitched voice that sounds like nails on a chalk board. I HATED her character in Ojakgyo Brothers.

Kim Na Heul and Ha Ji Won both get on top of my nerves with their over the top acting style. I don't like their facial expressions and how they interact with their co-stars.

These criticisms might sound unfair, but that's just how I feel. I won't watch anything with them in it unless I absolutely must (for eg if a favourite of mine is playing alongside them).

Wow, had no plans to watch that drama but now I'm sure I'll never watch it! Hey have fun with Tatta. I was a little underwhelmed by it, but its still worth a watch. I, in the meantime, am struggling to decide what to see next!

Well, watch and see if he's your cup of tea. He certainly is my cup of everything! Never knew I'd be raving about a skinny guy with weird hair ... but that's how powerful and magnetic the character is! Watch it to the end and you're likely to not be disappointed! :-)
What dramas are you watching now? Can't decide what I should watch after a very looooong hiatus from drama. Any recs? You know what I like don't you? Romance, good kisses, happy ending.

Ok, did you really really like that much? If you did then that's awesome! Now you neeeeeeeed to watch Pride! I know you like shy guys, but man ... if Kimura Takuya as the indomitable Halu-san doesn't get your panties in a twist I don't know what will! Haha! :-)
Thanks for the great feedback on my review. When you watch a really great show like Orange Days the review is easy to write! Now off you go, go watch Pride! :-)
For some reason CD 1 won't load. It buffers for a very short portion and then stops completely. I've done everything: I've rebooted my computer, I've tried different internet connections and different computers with the same negative result. Any other ideas where we can watch this?

Good list. Have always wanted to see Happiness, but can't find it anywhere. It looks like a great movie. And maybe I am Happy will finally be the movie that introduces me to Hyun Bin!

haha, relax, I didn't mention his name. I wrote random and unique ... and that's not a name. So how do they know? Furthermore, he reads my profile often too. lol
And come on, you've GOT to tell me. You can't make me so curious and then not tell me. That's cruel. Tell me, or I'll never forgive you! :-)
