I completely agree with you about a lot, there was so much left unexplored and a bit to much fillers to connect the people to each other instead of on each stories... also agree about the casting. I wrote in my review that First felt a bit miscasted as well but after reading your review I think it may be more the lack of screen time for their that was the problem ... But Earth was definitely a miscast.
"I also found Wen’s and Alan’s relationship fascinating and wish we would see more of it. It seemed like they made almost every possible mistake to end up in this situation, and trying to fix it right away would be an impossible task."
"age appropriate" seriously, this is perhaps the only school bl which has actually felt like a school romance.…
It had a nice balance indeed, that said the way teens act as well as how fast they get into adult behaviour (different kinds) varies a lot but this just felt so right somehow... without sounding like a prude...
"I was going to ask but I have never seen him look this terrified" < I rewatched this scene like 3 times it was…
She had the ultimate character development, they had us believing she would be just another overbearing controlling parent and she ended up going next to those traps but showing restraint... it was just so, so good. I loved that part... so little screen time so much meaning behind each of her interactions.
Also the look on his face when the mom talked about dating in the car how it went from I want to tell you... to never mind as I do not like girls I will end up disappointing you type of deal...
I am a succer for bad parants who get to stay bad... and liked several of the characters... but I guess some had…
I meant wtf, but real... I think she connected a bit to much with the granny who reminded her of her mom. That said I don’t dusagree with you. I was surprised they chose to write it that way. Part of me saw it more like... some things go deeper than others... if you get what I mean. It added layers to the situation.

Oh I wanted to choke her there too, but the fact that the situation was brought up that way made me love the show. I hated everything about that situation! About the brother he had gotten EVERYTHING and now he wanted more when she had litterally nothing and was in trouble at that moment... The way the grandma acted when it came to the dad made my blood boil too... and the brother of the girl like seriously wtf???

I know nothing about the fandom but agree that some parts were really bad (especially the drunken stuff). I do mention them but I think the relationship between the girls, the situation in the hospital that was so hard to watch but really important... + Im Siwan in the wet t-shirt nade up for most of it... ha ha... yes I am shallow sometimes.
Haha, I am an IKEA enthusiast, and I find it funny how much of their furniture, sofas especially, seem to end…
They made it work pretty well... so I would say more of a unconventional household... there is a lot if IKEA atuff out there, but all the Swedish posters in this took the cake.
I was not really impressed by the female lead but the second female lead and well of course the male lead made up for it.. ha ha... I may have a huge crush on Lee Jun Young and be a sucker for this type of dramas that I can overlook most of the flaws... There was one duett that I think the female or was it the male lead that they sing in the variety show that I completely fell for too it played on loop for a while... it is not one of those happy songs... I agree about points 1-4 too 😘
Oh now I am blushing 🥰 glad you liked it. I started binging K-dramas 2020 too.
Oh Our Beloved Summer is such a good drama. And keep up rambling, rambling is nice 🤭 I would say dramas pretty much saved me too as I started watching them when I experienced a complete burn out and have used writing about them as rehab... now almost 3 years later I am almost back on my feet and just started working again. So I don't know how much energy I will have for writing but if you include the articles I am currently working on I have over 30 of them... yaikes... ha ha... Enjoy your binge here it is soon time for our morning walk before breakfast.
