OMFG I just realised the whole "yamen manor" set is LWJ's Jingshi Room/residence in the Cloud Recesses. It kept…
I bet it's the older Shangguan sibling, Zhi's big brother. I have no hints to show you for it, but I will take the risk and say it's him. Just because drama.

Aw, Jiang-ge... freaking get over your dad faking his death. I am not CaiWei and I don't care he managed to grow a great son - for 30 years he slaughtered his way through that city and didn't get so much wealth and power without killing for it. AND THEN!! He goes and pretends to be dead so that HIS SON that he wanted to keep away from the Jianghu HAS to come back and kill his way through the mess, too!! F off, Zhou dad!

Also awww~, Pan Yue and CaiWei now have no more secrets and from now on poor A-Ze will have PLENTY of more chances to catch them half-naked together LOL. "Get out!" - a growl of frustration hahaha~

The fourth rider of the apocalypse, errr, the brothel madam is pretty suspicious too. She went aaaall the way back to the shadows and let the other three powers throw themselves against Pan Yue and she's maybe calculating how to profit from that... If not the older Shangguan sibling, then she's one of the top rulers of the Ripple Org. TM - also according to the drama rules. A feint and counter-feint between two women - the princess and the madam, LOL.

Jiang-ge, come back ASAP. That is all.

(ETA Also doesn't the underground tomb set resemble so much TTJ and YXW's tomb set, too?)

So... can I tell you all who endgame villain is, according to drama rules?...

For a hot second there, I thought Pan Yue was going to get stupid and decide for her in advance. But then he didn't…
Awww, our ML and the SML were bonding over protecting her....

BUT!!!! Isn't he SUCH a bright spark, though? It only took Jiang-ge ONE SECOND to just say "you care for me, too, then?" and just like that, IT CLICKED!!! I LOVED THAT!!! I WANT MORE OF THAT!!!!! YES GO GET HER!

(Yes I'm having a shout-out party to Jiang-ge, how can you tell? :D)

So it's decided - the Zhou father is the guy in the dark - but is he endgame villain or is there someone else?

They're all caught into solving cases now, but still have time to be picky about food, LOL. Poor A-Ze, wanting sour and sweet foods and Zhi'er not having any of it, LOL. Then again he deserves it - PAN YUE DON'T TAKE RELATIONSHIP ADVICES FROM A-ZE, HE KNOWS NOTHING!!!! NOTHING you hear!!! And anyway... he already kissed her in secret, LOL - VIRGINS amirite? :D

I kind of think that A-Ze is definitely NOT the spy in the yamen. He's being a great wingman even if he doesn't know anything about love and gives bad advice, LOL. If he were the spy, he'd be more careful and not be that friendly with PY.

I'm also being careful and not watching trailers... but I kind of want to see when PY gets blinded - will it be bugs? In the end, the backforest of the academy still did have traps, who put them there? Why is Zhou the dad fearful they'd discover the secret of the forest? What secret?

Shout-out to the clothing dep't too - that two-toned outfit of Pan Yue's was BEAUTIFUL.

PS And XiaoSheng giving away most of her fake jewelry for almost nothing because she got dreamy over Jiang-ge... Awww, that's love :D

This is makjang right? It has the length and type of lighting and general scene setting and overall the makings of a makjang... And I really need a good one, the last one I've watched was Ojakgyo Brothers forever ago. I miss a good makjang!!

First ep is good, I hope it doesn't devolve once the characters become adults.

Title Wonderful World Spoiler
No unexpected twists yet (they've all been foreshadowed long enough). But GSY is getting kind of psycho and definitely…
Kim Joon was actually looking genuinely pained when he met the bereaved family. Wow.

GSY is doing it all wrong. Because he imprinted on Kim Joon - kind of - he is taking it all out on ESH because he doesn't want to look beyond what was done to his father.

His freaking father KILLED a child and then, when he was bought off an actual punishment, MOCKED the grieving mother. I would still kill him too, if I were her. He doesn't get any pass, I don't care how much he might have loved or been loved by his own family. I don't really buy the "loving dad" image GSY has in his head either, no one who can be that cruel when they've killed a little child would be able to actually love anything or anyone.

The GOOD twist is that everybody's concerned about the other lost child and that he's out of debt and maybe going back to therapy.

The cheating husband and adopted-sister thing was obvious from the start. I still think ESH is having too big of a reaction, and if anyone was an adult around there, they'd sit down and talk it out. It's been 7 years, they've both been hurting because of the child's death, it wasn't JUST ESH feeling lost and alone in the world. Things happen. But I guess we'll instead see another heartbreak from her because in this one thing - where she had already released her husband to live for himself anyway - she won't take it. TBH, I don't care.

So, I guess GSY dies in the end - they're stretching the heart problem way too much. Or someone in ESH's circle dies and gives him a heart transplant, why not, it's a drama.

But it's good enough to keep me on watch, and CEW looks extremely handsome. I just wish his character's love-interest wasn't that crazy LOL.

Sorry that you got triggered, it wasn't my intention.I think Bite Me is a great cooking series, like really...only…
I didn't watch 3body yet, I want to - I listened to the OST already (because Chen XueRan! :D and it's GREAT!), but I always wanted to read the book first.

There are so many new dramas though, I'm way behind with my reading :D

It was a joke, LOL, don't take it seriously! You've done a great job compiling this article, so thank you for the effort :)

But no, Bite Me really is that bad - not even the slo-mo cooking shots could save it. I think the reason I stuck around to the end (watched it while it was airing, too!) was for the misery everybody was expressing in the comments, LOL.

I liked the visuals of TSS... but the science behind basically everything happening is non-existant. For me, in a movie/drama that says it's scifi there HAS to be at least moderately-accurate science. And TSS didn't care for that... *sigh* SK is great at horror and supernatural, but hasn't found a stride yet in actual scifi. There's time though :D

I'll bet both of them - SP and Qian - immediately thought about sex. That's what spooked both of them. OMG, the little brother grew up and now wants to have sex with Qian!!

Both of them are so immature about love, LOL.

At the same time, Yuan was also part of the family for a long time, and SP knows how much Qian does care for him. He's taking Qian side totally and leaving Yuan outside the circle at the same time, as if they couldn't just give it a bit of time and discuss it like grownups (because Yuan is hurt but he's not a child any more). Instead, it's all basically "BATTLESTATIONS!! ENEMY SIGHTED!" kind of, and Yuan definitely sees himself pushed to the outside.

If SP cared for Yuan too, a little bit, he'd have had more empathy and tried to mediate between them two. That's what makes me not like him, after last ep, when I actually felt he's the best friend ever (to BOTH of them).

I am triggered LOL.

For a cooking drama, do not - I repeat, DO NOT - go to Bite Me with any sort of expectations. Of any kind. It's the worst cooking drama (and I tend to think of any genre of drama) I've ever managed to sit through in the vain hope SOMETHING will eventually happen. Nothing happens. It's a soul-killing slo-mo amazingly bad nonsense story. If you can call it a story. The ML get a schizophrenic change of personality in the middle of the plot and even THAT doesn't manage to make it better or at least more interesting. Don't do this to yourself. You'll just be hurt in the end.

If you really want a cooking drama (or about chefs, at least), better watch Wok of Love instead. It still has its silly out-of-this-world drama-localised coincidences and lucky strikes, but at least it's well acted and it goes somewhere.

Also, for a space drama (or astronaut profession) - also for your own good, don't go to The Silent Sea. While the cast is great and the SFX are amazing, the quantity of anti-scientific facts and incidents is amazing too. There are basically two astronauts in total involved, and even they forget how gravity works at times, not to mention the deep mysteries of how even safety pressure doors work. In a space station. During an emergency. Those are not astronauts I'd send anywhere... The production team spent so much time on whether they COULD show those great SFX when they should have considered a lot if they SHOULD have. I don't want to go into too much because spoilers... but for a drama I'd had highly anticipated and did manage great shots of the space station and all... Even the movie The Moon (which also forgets about actual physics) does it better (not great by any measure, just better than TSS).

Better watch Space Sweepers instead - it's not pretending to be a scifi or about actual astronauts and all, just a explodey space opera that wants to entertain you. It's entertaining, even if not really original. But at least they're more honest about it...

UGh IkrThe first few minutes into the ep and I was wishing for the white truck to come plowing through the room.…
I seemed like he suddenly felt the need to PROTECT Wei Qian from Yuan, as if he was going to attack him out of the blue or something. I could FEEL the walls going up between SP and XY and it definitely would have hurt anyone in XY's corner at that time.

I could - theoretically - believe he didn't know which side to take, but he shouldn't have taken anyone's side, anyway, they weren't out at war...

I wish someone had taken the trouble to TL the book properly, the MTL doesn't make much sense and Priest always nuances her characters... The drama doesn't show a lot of WHY is SP so protective of Qian's little family, maybe there's something that triggers him into over-protective mode over Qian...

We'll have to see what happens, now we're halfway through.

Anyone got the link to the eng translation of the novel?
There's only an (kind of) atrocious MTL. You can google it. But IMHO since it's not TLed by someone with a good grasp of the language, better just suffer and wait for the weekly drama fix.

For breaking the 10K heat index; Sparky did a little hand dance lol: https://x.com/dramapotatoe/status/1771043628980342812?s=46&t=zqI38SPvJuccjplZiNI69QBXS…
Is that a hand dance or is he trying to use sign language? It looks a bit like sign language to me. (She IS doing some dance choreo though, LOL).

(Also LOL, I jokingly called him a bright spark and you nicknamed him Sparky and ran with it - but it does fit him doesn't it? He IS a bright spark (when he's not being stupid by not noticing the SFL yet) and he's also sparkling all over the place (I DO love that dark gray outfit though, despite the sparkly bits hahaha~)

ETA And most important, he still looks awesome in modern clothing. I need to watch more of the dramas he was in, and see him lead one soon!
