This is the way these kinds of series should be made. They didn’t depend on gore to carry the plot…..and there was a thoughtful viewpoint other than “aliens bad”. I really enjoyed this…the acting was really good by all.
Though I am a huge fan of Tribes and Empires (fatally flawed tho it was), and though I feel that Liu Houran is…
Thank you for this review. I am a woman, still single at 80. I have always lived in the wilderness. I am so weary of obnoxious FLs who screech and at the same time talk like a baby with marbles in their mouth. I wanted to stay with this because I like the ML character and he seems thoughtful and open emotionally. But no way am I going to wait till E30 before the FL acts like a decent admirable woman. I have been watching it with the sound off 😂
Regardless what nonsense people have heard…..schizophrenia is NOT a mental disorder. It is caused by an enzyme imbalance in the brain. It is a physical disorder whose symptoms can appear as a mental disorder. In fact, a great many schizophrenics have extremely high I.Q.s It is typical of the allopathic community at large that they are fond of labeling things they do not understand…with some nonsensical definition that makes them seem all knowledgeable….when they are not. I have an extensive medical background in Holistic Medicine. My father and his brother were both schizophrenic with IQs in the 180 range. I am High Functioning Autistic with a like IQ. It is now being more widely accepted that autism and schizophrenia are not really disorders, but gifts. Of course, this does not hold true for all…they are both unique disorders with the participants engaging in a wide range of symptoms and healing success. This movie is outstanding. Truly. For the watchers that have more experience with these disorders, it very definitely touches on the nuances of how individuals experience and react to these disorders. Make lemonade out of what is first perceived as lemons. What I will agree on is that self awareness and the willingness to look at one’s self unflinchingly and work consistently to turn around the negative aspects is needed, and to instead, embrace and focus more on the gifts. Drugs should only be the first step, not reliance on them, to keep one balanced in the beginning of the journey. In my fathers case…..who was a brilliant man with many gifts, he preferred the make believe world…and often remarked that he found it interesting that people would choose a life in the physical where you have little control of your life, instead of the make believe one where you alone, determine success or failure. I have carried that mantra into my own world of autism…and would not change one thing about me or my life. Who knows if, in some future time….the schizophrenics and autistics will have bestowed great gifts to the world.
You just know from the start that with Dr. Romantic, CLOY cutie, and Twenty Twenty heartbreaker……this will be a superb series. And it was. It was so beautifully painful that it hurts your heart. It is often true that you do not appreciate what you have until you lose it. We need more of these kinds of KDramas that are profoundly full of love and tenderness from start to finish rather than glitzy shallow nothingness full of hate and vengeance. Thank you, all the cast, for giving us a few moments to feel the beauty of love.
dropped this drama after 2 episodes because of the FLs voice. like speak out fgs, it's so mumbly and inaudible,…
Definite advantage to watch a lot of C/K Dramas with the sound off. Mumbling though, seems a better option than the high screechy voice, or nasal baby talk voice that most actresses have. Having to do this right now with Lighter and Princess….I want to strangle baby talk actresses.
20 eps feels good for me cause i I love Fireworks of my heart. But one thing that really make me concern is ML…
Explanation for non athletes. His shoulders are massive. His waist is tiny. If he wears a tailored shirt, when he twists sideways his shirt will come out of his trousers. It’s physics. This will happen for instance, with all body builders which is why they almost always wear their shirt not tucked in.
Whoever styled Ci Sha for this drama did him so dirty. His hair looks like he belongs in Grease (missing the man…
I winced everytime he was in a scene. He was so handsome in Forever with the long hair. Not only was it a horrible hairstyle but the slicked back hair highlighted the facial flaws...making his nose look too big and mouth too small.
Apparently he's been in a lot of scandals since this article. Idk what they are about though.
I did some searching and eventually found a very lengthy article. Basically it boils down to this…he was young and had a lot of short term relationships with a lot of actresses and supermodels. In other words, a nothing burger. Isn’t this pretty normal behavior for a lot of young people….and what business is it of others what he does in his personal life? This is so typical of the Asian entertainment industry. They hound actors and actresses until something serious happens. We have one suicide this year one of the top most well liked actors……and Yoo In Ah is still banned and looked at as some kind of criminal…..when will this crap stop? And to set the record straight, he developed the addiction from using it in his treatments of cancer. Anyway, I know it has been three years since you made this comment but I thought I would leave this for other people to read.
Thank you so much. There isn’t much under his MDL bio. My first time seeing him as I am watching A Date With The Future…..he is really cute in this drama….and although I love Yang Yang…..this is a better drama than Yang’s version of pretty much the same plot. Pleasantly, I see he has many TBAs lined up in the future. Also, so nice to see someone who doesn’t smoke….once I find out an actor smokes, I lose an attraction for them and all I can think about is how they must smell as smokers. Just my quirk.
Watching it the second time, I think it’s actually better. You can see all the details start to add up. You don’t spend as much time trying to piece it together and instead can concentrate more on the acting. I was hoping to see her bio as a martial artist here, alas….no. Would love to see her and Kim Min star in something like this.
Ji Seung Hyun's performance is nothing short of Immpecable!!!!!!
He is stellar in everything he acts in. I sometimes wonder if viewers appreciate enough, the character actors, as much as they should. Without them, dramas would be quite lackluster.
I'm with you here but we seem to be going against the stream of gushing fans of this drama. I was so looking forward…
Sageuks are my fav too. Since the New Years, I have finished Ripe Town, Love Song for Illusion, 2nd time for My Dearest, and am currently watching Korea-Khitan. One of my favorites is The Long River.

Yes. I spent time going thru the comments. Seems aimed at the very young or those who want to watch their idol no matter what. I dropped it and am now watching Padam Padam because I fell in love with Woo Sung after watching Tell Me That You Love Me. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
I just finished Tell Me That You Love Me and fell in love with Woo Sung so came to watch this. My goodness….Kim Bum and Woo Sung were really buff back then (laughs). But anyway, this is a great series and validated for me that yes indeed, Woo Sung is a great actor TMTYLM wasn’t a fluke acting role. I see that he is more into directing than acting…wish that weren’t so….I really like seeing is expressive face on the screen.
complete lack of chemistry? did we watch the same drama... haha 😅I'm sorry you weren't into it. but I have…
Well, I am not a troll and I don’t find him attractive. Good actor though, but this drama is a flop for me……but then again, I am not a youngster or young adult. Just because we don’t agree with you is no reason to call people names.
I loved the drama at first but I couldn't stand the ML actor so I gave up on it at ep 14. I had no problem with…
For me I think I especially noticed it more because I just finished adorable puppy retriever ML in Flowers in the Sand and smoldering hot ML in Tell Me That You Love Me……so I am dropping this at E5.
I'm at episode 7 and loving the chemistry so far. But... as a Finnish person who used to live in Helsinki, it's…
God, the guy at the bar was so bad I was sitting here embarrassed. Same with white American actors. In all these years the only white boy that has been attractive was the computer guy in Win The Future, Chen Kun’s last flick. As a deaf person the Finnish actors in this flick acted like people do when they talk to deaf people…LOL…..shouting and making exaggerated facial and mouth movements.
