How's p2 going compared to p1?? I am thinking of starting ths finally I was waiting for P2 to air
If you liked part 1, I would give this a go. It's still airing, so it's reached a frustrating point by the end of ep 12, but it may resolve well, so I'm still going to watch until the end and hold final judgment until then.
Gosh listening to the people ahead of me it sounds like the plot , what there is other than misunderstandings,…
Up until ep 12 (the end), this one has still been quite watchable, with much better production values overall compared to Princess's Gambit. If I view Blossom (this drama) in the context of the first part, however, it is indeed too long with repetitive scenes (especially with the characters of Liu Chang and his psychotic princess wife). The end of ep 12 is where the writing breaks for me, but I'm waiting to see if it does work after all after the next episodes.
Princess's Gambit has been tortuous for me to watch - it tries to be exciting plot-wise, but not much actual solid writing has been done to develop the characters well, so I don't really care about the plot. And like others have said, there are too many plot holes to ignore as well.
Of course he’s alive. He took that little note in the prison to help him escape. He is fully behind the whole…
I've been enjoying so far how those "iconic scenes" get turned on their head, so I'm wondering how those scenes will play out in the end. CGH is definitely slipping down that slippery slope. Even after SYM and her Dad told him what's what, he won't stop.
Ok, I did it. I watched ep 12 (well almost, I couldn't watch after JCY got stabbed in probably the lungs and still kept talking) and burst out laughing. As a physician, I just couldn't torture myself to accept that it was physically possible. And I continued laughing - not because there's any comedy intended in the episode but because of how ridiculous the past 10-15 minutes are in this episode. The absolute lack of logic and set up in the writing and the absolute unnecessary "drama" needed in a story already packed with dramatic people (Liu Chang and the princess seem actually more reasonable after the weirdness of today's episode) are astounding. I am amazed that the actors could even still emote given the ridiculous lines given to them.
If that is really all there is to this episode, I cannot believe how crazy this show has turned out to be. I hope I will be proved wrong, but nothing in JCY's expression or performance of the scenes at the end indicate to me there's anything else behind it all.
I just want to say that the Chinese drama industry will likely fade if they continue to prioritise looks over…
I first saw Liu Lingzi in A New Life begins and really liked her there. I agree she's been great here - she has that classic Chinese period drama female lead energy.
