Yeah, one of those rare dramas that gets better with every episode and keeps that quality all the way to the end.…
It's fantastic :)

I’m glad I didn’t listen to some of the comments and watched this. This drama is very well made. You find…
People want innovation but at the same time, don´t like uncertainty and find it difficult to addapt themself to the story the director want to tell. They have their expectations in their mind and when they don´t find them fast or don´t understand what they are seeing, their frustration is directed to the drama. Experimental and arthouse projects aren´t massively received.

One thing for me, I felt It was ml centric drama, Zhao Liying just used for promotion
I wrote a review about it, look for it. I explian there the confusing, and why you should read about the mental illness before watching unless you´ve experience in more indie films.

Currently on episode 8 and I'm loving this. Watch this after The Depths of Wumeng. Very close to vibes of Meet…
I´m at ep 8 now and also loving it - and the ots! It´s a shame I can´t add them to my Spotify. Lyrics are in Tibetan, aren´t they?. I saw the same two shows lol There´s also To the Wonder in the same line of ethnicities, but I haven´t seen it

Is it just me or is the chinese drama scene making more dramas about tibet and tibetan culture?
They´re making more dramas on ethnicities in general: City of Sunlight, To the Wonder, Tales of Wumeng (Deph in Wumeng), this one that includes Tibetan ethnicity, Meet Yourself

Well done BTBA Well done. Currently trending on Weibo as number one. This drama gave a true story and showcased…
Bai Chun actor (Zhou You) has a lot of good shows. If you look in his profile here, for sure you'll find some options (Dear Diary, City of Sunlight - set in Lasha, Tibet -, Love never Lost), the sister has Tales of Wumeng of The Depth of Wumen from 2025 about Miao People, and Chen zhe Hua (Shao fei) was in Born to be the One, a slide of life drama from 2024 set in contemporary Beijing. Also played the cop in The Hunt, thriller from 2025.

Really ? Do you have the name of the real person which is based on ?
Your welcome!
For me, a 9. Anyway, besides rankings, it´s an amazing drama worth watching as a very solid drama in itself, with a meaninful message and mostly, because it´s inpired in real events.
It´s a shame - and quite sad - that both netizens and the internacional community trash a drama and the deeper meaning it carries simple for petty and short-minded reasons - especially without watching it (the same happened to the other drama aired in January based on real events).
It´s indeed disrespectful to the whole team involved in this high quality production but mostly, to the real heroes who fought and lost their life to protect the environment and the planet we live in.

Everytime I expect a routine scene comes like Bad guys entry, routine silent jealous or ML saving FL nothing really…
Yeah, the bad subtitles were a thing but even with that, it´s worth watching.

I'm about to finish this cdrama. I am loving everything. This is a comfort show you can just watch while eating,…
Agree! Specially loved the relationship between Ma Qing Hao and his father - hilarious and heartwarming -, Wu Ai Sao and his wife Long Feng Bi, and the three friends, the "three Herbs of Wumeng" besides the culture approach you highighted.

Wait so duojie is still alive? Btw Bai shou and Lao han is something I never expected
No, Duojie has been dead from 17 years. It´s based on real events.

It’s among my favorite dramas of all time, and I can barely watch historical ones, no matter how hard I try.

For sure. Ignorance isn´t an excuse for illegal or non ethical acts.

These two episodes were really good. Bai Chun just made an enemy out of me. He knows what they're doing is wrong,…
For me, Bai Chun is in a kind of denial. As for what he said to Shao Fei, I think he represents ordinary people who, without education or awareness, don’t really understand the true meaning of the danger. Although he knows something is off, he genuinely believes they’re blowing things out of proportion because they’re educated or environmental freaks, and that they’re jeopardizing his job and the way of life he worked so hard to build.
On Born to Be Alive Feb 14, 2026
Personal things aside, the Mountain Patrol members were always clear about their beliefs priorities. I also understand Mayor Lin, I think he represents a mindset from that era where development was for real a top priority for the country and its people - China wasn´t at the same level that the West or even countries in Latam. It´s not that he (and those who represents) is bad or doesn´t care as the real bad guys, it´s the dilemma of balancing development and environment protection that was always there, and is still to these days.
On Born to Be Alive Feb 13, 2026
I guess the old vibe won´t coe back; I made peace with that. It´s still a good solid show, but now it lacks the force it had until episode 25.

I'm fear for this part of the drama. The first one was a masterpiece, but the abrupt change of pace, focus and…
Yeah, I was thinking the same earlier. If they´ve ended with his "dissapearance" and then closed the story with a final episode updating the facts till the present, the drama would´ve remained as an unforgetable masterpiece from start to finish. But now, we already have a bunch of episodes that impact the overall quality. I´m praying for the show to get back on track soon.
