True that! It seems she is not so much into romance as of now as she is on a mission to become a great martial artist. At the same time it is clear that she has fallen for the second ML’s charm. Since they are a couple now, I would love to see more “action” between the two if you know what I mean. I guess I am being impatient. I know the attraction is there but I feel it is more of a puppy love on her part. I could be wrong but that is the vibe I am getting

The chemistry between QH and WY is so good. It is a pity they are not meant to be together though. Merxat’s performance here reminds me of him in The Legend of Yunxi. As for Alan Yu, I did not have much expectations from him but he surprised me this time. His sinister side is quite refreshing to see. It seems to suit him well as his acting seems more natural. Apart from that he is also smiling often because of the FL so I guess that’s an improvement. Hopefully he won’t hold back too much as the story continues. I can understand if he is doing that in the beginning because he is seeking revenge and is not meant to get too close to the main FL. I guess the story would be more believable if their love were to take a slow natural course to develop.

I know his deadpan face is beginning to annoy me and makes me wonder why he has the same look in all his dramas except perhaps TMOPB. He is sick again I think in this drama like in the previous one.

I did! The acting is good and the couple’s story is cute so far. The only odd parts i find are her strange sickness and her job at MH which seems more like a sleuth instead of a market analyst when they could have hired a professional agency. Apart from these all is good. Yunxi’s role is truly funny stalking her and all that lol

I saw the trailer and got excited. Tbh I am not into modern drama all that much. But I want to give Luo Yunxi a chance to redeem himself after his disappointing role in And the Winner Is Love which sadly I dropped. Maybe I like him better in an antagonist role idk because I liked him a lot in Ashes of Love and Princess Silver. Wondering if this drama will be worth it or not...

I watched Princess Silver but could not remember him. I guess he is that forgettable. I probably won’t remember his performance in this drama either. I have not seen him in any other drama apart from Princess Silver and I am not sure if he can really act too tbh. Even though he has a dull role in the current drama, his on screen presence needs more works I feel. I mean he could have shown a whole range of emotions when he was with the older Fu girl and when he was talking with JS about love in one of the episodes. I find his expressions flat and it is really hard to connect with him. If it weren’t for JS and the second Fu girl this drama is not worth the time I think

Also the prince is a bore, not much personality, only taking orders from the emperor like puppet. The second ML is far more interesting in comparison

I agree about the plot. Hopefully it won’t have many problems later on. All of the relationships seem platonic to me tbh. Even the eye contacts between the older sis and prince still seem a bit forced but I guess they want to build a bit of suspense. Not a fan of the main ML so far.
Since the story is moving really fast I wonder what we will be seeing next especially after the prince is emperor and he marries the older girl. More palace drama I suspect. Since he does not have concubines, it is prolly related to the princess.
I read comments here where there is mention of the real life emperor marrying both the sisters but the drama does not seem to be true to history.

This reminds me of Legend of Dugu minus the evil sister. It looks like the prince admires the older Fu’s intelligence. I have only seen up to episode 6 so I hope we will get to see more romantic scenes or is it wishful thinking on my part. The younger sis and second ML have good chemistry although they seem to be a bit silly at this point.

I have seen both drama. Although romantic comedy is not my cup of tea I enjoyed the first drama a lot

I see. I do too but I have a hard time remembering the names as Chinese names are challenging for me.

I watched Minglan a few months back and loved it. I love the couple, their acting is no natural and the development of their relationship organic. It is one of the best dramas out there.
I think few kissing makes romantic moments really special and keeps you wanting more.

Like you I too want to watch the latest. But sometimes it is better to watch them once it finished airing.
I am no on ep 23 of MH. The plot is a bit weird I admit. I know many viewers have similar complaints. I put up with it because of the chemistry between the lead couple and the kissings scenes which are rare in costume drama lol.

Lol. I watched TPoC first episode and was impressed by it. I decided to save it for later as I want something lighter after L&R. I will definitely go back to watching it. I am currently on Maiden Holmes. So far so good.

I watched it only to prove that I was right about this drama that it is a huge mess. Dropped at sixth episode

Too many drama with FLs with different body/spirit recently. I am not sure I can take it anymore. Besides the cast is completely new to me sigh
