Wow! Top notch cast and production! Idk why we Asians (correct me if I am wrong) get so hung up about age and mature actors playing young roles instead of enjoying their art? ZZY may not look 15 but heck she looks almost half her age and is killing her role like it’s nobody’s business. The same goes for ZYW. They are so brilliant that you forget about all those trivial things like age.

The drama has a good cast (I don’t know the ML but I was intrigued as he is the brother of Fan BingBing) which is one good reason to keep watching. It also has some interesting plot twists. It would be better with a bit of romance thrown in though
I love her too esp in the dramas you mentioned. The reason I watched this in the first place was because of her... Like everyone else I was excited when the drama was released but now I am like “what was all that hype for” lol If I had forced myself to sit through episodes after episodes I’d probably be skipping scenes like you too lol...I take my hats off to you for your patience and being such a loyal fan of ZLY
I find the story interesting. Too bad the actors are below average. The ML isn’t your typical handsome ML. The FL is cute and so are the other actors but that’s about it. I am 39 and I do watch/like dramas with young actors as main leads but this is like watching a bunch of teenagers. It is very hard to relate. You could tell they are not only inexperienced but are also lacking acting skills. I looked them up out of sheer curiosity and it turned out that they are singers. Not too surprised though. I’d like to see this drama with a different cast like Xu Kai for instance as ML :D
It seems to be loosely based around the 13th prince. The maids are too casual with the princes. The affair between a prince and a maid is not unusual but everything else makes little sense like letting a prince marry a maid. The plot needs a lot of work. I suppose there isn’t much you can do in a short movie. Zanilia and Peer are great actors. This is my first time to see them in a movie.

Does he play mainly in modern dramas? If so I don’t watch those. As for costume dramas I have not seen the ones he has acted in except this. Hence the ignorance
I love Li Qin and Xiao Zhan. Their delivery is very strong and I feel they are the main crowd puller here. I don’t know the first male lead. He is a bit stiff acting wise, but I do find him hot and perfect for his role looks wise. Sadly, I am not in love with the plot or the characters. (Both the make up and the music are another reason I find the drama unappealing.) Some of the things that bothered me were the back and forth between the couple, her childish obsession with wolf boy, the use of the bell and endearment “wolf boy”, the excuses she makes to marry him for the Ma army’s sake when her real reason is obvious, chasing after wolf boy to the point of forgetting other priorities like seeking revenge for her clan, the potential antagonists (save the emperor) turning out good, lack of noteworthy antagonists, that exaggerated comedy bit in the middle of an otherwise sinister plot when the spoiled princess came to town, a supposedly witty and smart FL who cannot reign in her emotions, etc. Is it worth watching till the end I am not too sure. Just saying...
