We know we gonna get hurt after watching today's episode but i'm ready to get hurt 49 minutes more to goooooooooo
Indeed! We are ready! Hit us! I have not read the novel and please do not spoil me. But if there is any crying scene, we know Reba can cry well. Viewership in China will jump.
Edit: Tonight, there is no big table tennis matches between China and any country at the Olympics. No competition for viewership.
Hoping for crying scene from QJJ. That will send viewership into overdrive. However much we need to pay for tissue paper will be well worth it.
Many of us here fully agree with you, that a drama as good as this is not getting the attention in China that…
The historical inaccuracies perhaps, but the age gap not likely. Because other historical have had rather large gaps and they still managed to get reasonably high viewership. Someone mentioned Legend of Fei.
There are other factors we discussed about 2 months ago. One is the use of the animination. Many do not like that many of the large epic battles scenes were done using animation instead of live ones.
Another factor was the lack kisses between Li Changge and Ashile Sun
It just happened a minute ago. I am as surprised as you are. Been 8.6 for months. Wonder what happened.
I have checked. It is not a malfunction. Some new viewers have just rated this drama very high. Higher than 9. Quite a few of them. And this brought the rating up
You are asking me a question, am I right? Why I come here to comment so often? Is that your question??
Oh, that is not too bad. I was just wondering, how come someone 1st year junior high can enjoy TLB so much. This is not an easy drama to understand at all. The plot is pretty complicated.
Sorry. Read this rather late. Yes, no need to read manhua before you start. But you do need to bear in mind that Li Changge, the main protagnist, was only 14 years old in Episode 1.

Where I am, it is already aired on Chinese TV. I am somewhat confused about the situation in the US. Someone said it is there, but others said they cannot find it on Netflix USA. About those viewership count, I think Tencent is not concerned about international figures. They are more concerned about viewership in China. 3.26B views is not a bad number. But it is certainly below expectations, for a drama as good as this.
Thanks. This site is not blocked, where I am come from. But I am not a VIP member. Sorry for a really dumb question. Where to click to find the viewership count?? Is there a button/icon somewhere?? Or only VIP members can find out the viewership count??
It's my birthday week i really wanted some sweet and fluffy moments!! Guess I'm gonna have to wait till next week..…
Next week will be really sweet and fluffy. Just delay your celebration by one week. Every piece of puzzle for QJJ and YT will be coming together, for their sweet union and the beautiful start to their new journey in life as a couple. Not married yet, but as a couple, committed to work towards marriage.
Happy ending. The main couple did end up together.
When you start watching, bear in mind that in E1, the female lead, Li Changge, she was only 14 years old. If there is anything unclear about the drama, please come here and ask. Someone will respond to your queries. You can be sure of that. You cannot see them, but lots are around, and they have watched this drama many times and understand everything about this drama. They will explain to you, IF you do not understand. If you do understand on your own, great!
She is going to make him 'pay' for those two rejections. And once she decided that he has 'paid' enough, she will accept him. I think that is how the script will be written.
I know what you are saying, You are saying that QJJ's unsolicited adverstisement would have been worth something…
I will agree with you about the subtitling playing an important role. Because, some of those conversations in Mandarin, they went so fast no foreigner will be to understand what is going on without the subtitles. Even overseas Chinese will find some of the conversations hard to understand.
Good thing for me is that when I watch a drama, I seldom ever try to understand every single conversation. Lots of conversations are not even central to the main plot.
Some people were curious if she paid him to coach her. For me, if YT did not even raise this issue, so it just shows he was quite prepared to do it for free. Asking to be paid for those coaching sessions just 'cheapen' all those sessions and downgrade them to a commercial transaction. Doing it for free is a great context for relationship building between the two. Even now, knowing she helped her company with that ad, it was not direct payment into his pocket, he could feel that he did it for free and was not obliged it to do it.
I have mentioned a few times that viewership stats does not include foreign views. The market is China is so big, I think they just do not bother with overseas stats. Unless of course, it does not do well domestically, they will then try and see if international market can make up for the shortfall. It is ok for you to remind people though. Some may still be unware of it.
I did not connect the dots between viewership in China and the Olympics till one of the executives at the fan meeting last week mentioned it at the fanmeeting. To get the viewership number that it did really shows that this drama is doing exceptional well, despite the competition. And since the later episodes will be getting better and better, and the games will be ending by this weekend, we can look forward to really great viewership numbers next week. Timing could not be better.
I think this will be way shorter, because it is a shorter series. They cannot have it drag too long like a historical drama, or viewers will get very annoyed.
It is not a problem with me as long as it doesn't affect the flow of the drama. Check out the recent Cdramas even…
Most product ads in a drama have very little impact on me. Not lipsticks, perfume, mobile phones, etc. So I was not too annoyed by the game they used in YAMG. Tencent is not going to make a single cent from me.
