We don't really know who they are. Whether fans of LS or not we do not know. But, for sure, we do know they do not want YAMG to succeed, and that means they do not want either Reba or Yang Yang or both, to succeed.

You asked a very interesting question. It is very difficult to create fake accounts (I think). So, whoever these anti-fans are, they are very tech savvy. If one person sign up just to rate YAMG down, there is way for the rating to drop from 8.6 to 8.2. Because there were already 300 plus raters, when the rating was at 8.6. Statiscally, this is not possible. But with only 300 raters, if each of those anti-fans are so good, and each can somehow create 20 fake accounts, just 5 anti-fans will result in 100 toxic ratings. And 100 toxic ratings can indeed bring it down from 8.6 to 8.2 in an hour.

Hence, if we really want send the rating up again, we are going to need an equivalent 100 raters, best if they are people who have yet to rate this, all rating it a 10, if they like it. Some current raters are moving their rating from 8.5 to 10. That does have some impact, but as not as much as someone who has yet to rate it, who will give it a 10.

I suspect those anti-fans are so good, whatever checks MDL may have in place, the anti fans have learned to circumvent those checks.

It seems that this sort of coordinated attacks happen a lot in China. It just happened to the rating of TLB.

But in MDL, those anti-fans did not mount an attack on the rating of TLB, so it stays at a very healthy 8.6. Now, there are so many raters at TLB. It will take a really huge attack to bring it down.

The rating of YAMG here, will recover. But, it is not recovering fast enough. Lots of viewers still prefer to rate it later. It is ok. I suppose the only harm is that 8.4 might send the wrong message to would-be viewers, thinking that 8.4 is not such a great number and they might actually skip this drama.

That is why I keep encouraging people who like this drama to rate it high now, and not wait.

May have to do with their names. Reba and "88" share one same sound in Mandarin, the "Ba" sound. While Yang Yang in Mandarin share the same sound as sheep. Sheep, in Mandarin, has the same sound as Yang. So 88" and sheep are just affectionate nicknames coined by their fans.

I think the 2nd rejection, which will be coming right up in a few hours, will be interesting. 1st rejection was years ago. They were just kids She has put that away long ago.

But 2nd rejection is somewhat different. They are now no more kids. And QJJ is now a successful actress, earning millions, rich and famous all over China, while he is struggling. Yet, again, she is the one who took the risk and asked him again. Talking about swallowing of pride, she must have done lots of that, disregarded her 'face', ran all the way from the car, to ask him again.

I actually kind of agree with that comment, from certain angles. Except for the age part. Most sugar daddies are older man looking to have fun with young girls, while Jing Jing and Yu Tu are same age.

I am glad you found it so. Many people say he is stiff, but do not under the character he plays here in this drama. But YY is doing great as YT. He uses his facial expression to do all the acting/talking in this drama, thus far. I think when they later fall in love, his expression will change.

She actually does not mind slow burn-romance and mature drama. For example, she watched The Long Ballad with me. But, when I asked her to watch YAMG with me, she said she preferred historical dramas.

I did not know as well. Others who knew shared that information. But logic kind of told me, it has to be one of the games developed or owned by Tencent. Later, I read an article which says Tencent invested a lot of money to customise all the CGI for this drama, to make many of the game scenes look great.

I later shared this information in a post here a few days ago, and asked everyone who do not like games to just endure it. The game will be over soon enough. And, it is only fair for Tencent to use those game scenes to promote their video game. After all, they are the producer of this drama. They paid millions to our two star leads, the rest of the cast members, etc.

Yes, indeed they do!! I totally agree with you. E1, even with the subs, I could barely understand some of the conversations. But all the key actors or characters, they speak with very even pace. The lady who acts at QJJ's manager, QJJ, Yu Tu, etc. All these key characters, they are ok.

But, you know what, we merely need to focus on these key people. As long as we understand what they say, it is ok. Some of these other side characters who speak really fast, they are not central to the drama.

That is for you, my friend. For us, this is already Monday. And we are fully ready for the heartbreak.

Some of these anti-fans, each may have as many as 20 fake accounts. So, you can imagine the damage they can do, if even 5 of such anti-fans just come here and attack the rating of of YAMG. That is equivalent to 100 raters. No problem for them to bring from 8.6 to 8.2 in an hour. No way for 3 individual raters to inflict so much damage in an hour or so.

I am not surprised. Lots of envy and jealousy in the entertainment industry. Anything can be fair game, on the road to success. But, I think she can take all those punches. Her fan base is large and very supportive. Eventually, her excellent acting skills will win over the viewing public and that female co-star's career will go no where because she can't act.

If you are not an Asian but a Westerner watching this drama, you might not have understood the concept of 'face' in Asian societies, particularly in Asian Confucian societies like China, S Korea and Japan. Even Asians brought up in Western societies or Western oriented societies, may not full understand the concept of 'face'.

After understanding this concept, you might just appreciate this drama a bit more. For instance, you will better appreciate the different impact YT's first and second rejection have on QJJ. Or know how brave she was, to even have approached YT in high school, and told him to his face, "Do you have a girl friend? If you do not have one, what do you think of me? Can I be your girl friend?".

I did not watch Love020. This is my first YY drama, hence no basis to make comparison between him here and him in Love020. Even for that, I did not feel any stiffness in him. He is just quieter, especially if you compare him with QJJ. So, just personality differences between the two.

Keep watching. If you have yet to notice, you soon will. That no matter how much pain he was bearing, in JJ's presence, he would always break into a light smile. You can just see from his overal facial expression that he was happy just to be in her presence.

They would start out as teacher-student kind of relationship, when he agreed to be her game coach. But by E12, it would be clear, that relationship has already evolved. At this stage, the new 'shape' of that relationship has yet to be vocalised by either party. Just expressed through excellent body language from Reba and Yang Yang. Eye gazes, subtle micro-expressions in their faces, etc. If you google, you will know what are micro-expressions. Split second expressions that are very easy to miss.

People who find Yang Yang stiff, likely missed those micro-expressions. It takes great acting skill to convey emotions through micro-expressions. Sometimes, directors are kind. They use camera angles to help us understand it better (like close up shots of their eyes, lips, etc). Sometimes, we just need to watch something twice, to catch all those expressions.

A few days ago, this drama suffered massive systematic attack from anti-fan who had fake accounts. In just one hour, the rating dropped from 8.6 to 8.2. It has now climbed to 8.4. To move higher, everyone here who loves this drama will need to rate it a 10, just to help it recover to a fairer number. Or else, it is going to send a wrong message to would -be viewers.

I do not have those international time converter, but it is supposed to be 8 pm, Beijing (China) time. Where I am, there is no time difference with Beijing, so it is rather easy for me.

Really? It so, it must have suffered massive amount of attack from anti-fan. But TLB has already garnered 3B views in China a while back and, by now, there should be maybe around 3.5B views. I think those attacks would be meaningless now, if they were trying to dent the popularity of TLB. Fortunately, they have not attacked the rating here in MDL. Or, if they did, they have not succeeded in bringing down the ratings. Still stay at 8.6.

All the people waiting anxiously for the next episodes. Just shows how good this drama is.

I do have adblocker on my PC, and usually watch dramas on my PC rather than on my mobile. So, draining of battery is not an issue.

That is so true. And Reba is beautiful. No one doubts that. But more importantly, she can act. It is good that you are able to focus on her acting and not be distracted by her good visual.
