I'm surprised at how highly it's rated. I get it, the show has great cinematography, great acting, and sure even the chemistry was there but the writing is where it was severly lacking. I think the beginning was fine but somewhere towards the last half the show, it fell off. The progression in ep 12 is something we should've seen by ep 6. Idk why everyone's ok with the show ending off like that. I get that they might have season 2, but season 1 really did not make me wanna continue. I'm sad cuz I was really excited and happy about this show at the beginning, only to end in a big disappointment. 6/10

agreed!! the progression we got in ep 12 should've been until ep 6. This is was a frustrating ride no matter how well it was filmed or acted. The writing is severly lacking

Currently on a quest to watch all the good "bromance" c-dramas. Just finished Spirealm and Bright Time. Looking for something similar in terms of level of bromance and abscense of straight romance with the leads.

Can anyone tell me if this is the right show for me?

The way LD and LJH's relationship progressed was even more intimate and romantic than the straight couples. And even the straight couples didn't get a kiss so I see it as a full-on BL, no matter what China says lol

If anyone has any other BL (disguised as bromance) c-drama recommendations like this or Spirealm, please let me know! (I've already seen Untamed, Word of Honour, Guardian etc.)

I literally rewatched it for the 4th time because other dramas Im watching jsut didnt hit. All credit goes to the actors and their chemistry. I miss my boys T_T

Beyond expectations. Even better than the actual drama... probably the best prequel... heck, one of the best K-BLs I've ever seen!

I knew how it would end because of the drama but I wish so much to have an epilogue for them too... my heart hurts so much and I love them and I'm writing this in actual tears bc they deserve better!

Definitely going back to rewatch Unintentional Love Story with a new perspective. 10/10

I love the characters and felt a deep connection to them which is what kept me going but the lack of progression in the relationship over the 2nd half of the show made me STRESSED. We had so many episodes with the leads having much, if any interaction at all.

I still cried at the end and wish we had more moments with them.

I really wanted to like it and was enjoying it upto ep 4 but it fell off after and I blame Huaien's gross behaviour,... he's too toxic I can't stand it.
