Oda has approved for the series to be released so he is probably aware of this. He has only mentioned what nationality…
Yeah, there will be a lot of changes for example Nami seems to be present in the fight with Captain Morgan and they will probably omit Johnny and Yosaku. Arlong seems to be setup as the main vilain of the season and he appears in Buggy's circus scene too. If they keep the main points and the heart of the story it should be ok to change some to fit the medium. I also hope it's successful enough to get more seasons!
It will cover Romance Dawn, Orange Town, Syrup Village, Baratie, Arlong Park and might also cover Loguetown Arc.…
I am also really excited about it but i try to keep my expectations low. There is no way that it can match the original but if they manage to capture some of the heart of it then i think it will be a success. Not sure how much it will appeal to most people since by nature it's quite a quirky show so I am afraid a lot won't even try checking it out.

I also wonder how they will handle this. Loguetown it’s not a big arc, they could probably fit it in the last episode with some adjustments, or they might choose to adapt it in the next season (if there will be any). I think the s1 finishing with going to grand line is the best choice and while I understand that heading there after defeating a major villain might hit the best, I think Loguetown is also quite an important stop.
If you mean the cover image it's because it's a fanart and not an official poster. We have submitted a request to change it to an official poster but we are still waiting to be approved.
Does anyone know what all story acrs this will cover?
It will cover Romance Dawn, Orange Town, Syrup Village, Baratie, Arlong Park and might also cover Loguetown Arc. For the last one we will need to wait to see since there wasn't anything shown in the trailer. There will be some changes in the structure to make it more suitable for the live action and to fit all that content in 8 episodes so don’t expect it to be exactly the same.
wait... i don't want to seen as a racist, but why is Nojiko's actress a black person? (⊙_⊙;)is Oda sensei approve…
Oda has approved for the series to be released so he is probably aware of this. He has only mentioned what nationality the Straw Hat crew would be if they were real people and since the characters in the story are from all over the world they can choose whoever they think it fits the role best.
I just noticed there's only eight episodes. I wonder how they'll fit in the Romance Dawn Arc, Orange Town Arc,…
It seems they will adjust and might omit some things. I think it’s possible to fit them in 8 episodes (probably 1 hour or more each) if you consider a lot of scenes in anime will be condensed for the transition to real life. For example, the fight scenes in anime take a lot of episodes while they are only a few minutes in real time.
