A bit of trivia: In a manga SBS question, a fan asked what nationality the Straw Hats would be of if they were real. Oda gave the following as a reply:
Monkey D. Luffy: Brazilian Roronoa Zoro: Japanese Nami: Swedish Usopp: African Sanji: French

I must say the actor playing Luffy feels more like Luffy when he presents the teaser than in it😅 Timestamp to One Piece part on TUDUM 2023: https://youtu.be/5QoATGUcCcU?t=8080
Actually, the s1 an s2 feel like completely different shows so it's hard to say if you will like it unless you…
Unfortunately, no strong fighter aura at all. She is more like a damsel in distress that needs and actually asks the ML to rescue her. Especially in the early episodes. She never got or even tried to get her fighting powers back. Even after getting her memories back, she still acted nothing like the Naksu from s1.

The FL has amnesia till Ep8/10. Her personality is completely different from s1. The ML falls in love with her without knowing she is Naksu. He finds out in Ep9/10.
I just finished watching season 1, and I'm unsure if I should continue with season 2. The reviews on MDL suggest…
Actually, the s1 an s2 feel like completely different shows so it's hard to say if you will like it unless you try it.
Some liked s2 more than s1 so since you didn't find the s1 so good you will either like this better or at least you will not be so disappointed like if you had high expectations. I would say the writing is even worse here, but some seem to disagree.
You could try watching the first episode I think that is enough to let you know but then again it would be too late...
I have added a spoiler below if you want to check. I think it's one of the biggest issues people have about it.
I can't accept the ending. Is this an adaptation of a novel or what? Really need season 3!!
Unfortunately, this isn't based on a BL novel. But If you like this I suggest reading The Scum Villain's Self-Saving System novel. It also has an animated version called Scumbag System.
I also hope this will get a season 3! We really need it!
She had him beaten half dead for the sake of keeping the pretense and schemes, and later just casually tells him…
I think it made sense in the context of the drama. It’s set in ancient times where people were punished by beating for even small mistakes and betraying a royal was a big crime.
He did betray her an knew that if she found out he would be beaten and killed but still choose to come back to her instead of leaving the city as the emperor suggested. I believe at this point he was ready to accept anything that she did to him as it would be justified and a way for him to atone.
It makes sense for the character we have seen. To be so good at fighting as he is shown he probably had to go through a lot of pain too. His mindset seems to be set according to the times and the upbringing he had (Even though we don’t get any info on his past we can imagine by his interactions).
She also seems to be in pain as she had no choice but to do this in order to help her brother the emperor and her kingdom or else all these years would be in vain.
She not only let him live but also trusted him to help her in her plan. In the scene where the other guy send him back and gave him the item and the message from her he understood her plan. Then we see the scene of him recuperating and he mentioned it has been half a month and he wonders if she is doing well. He is clearly missing her.
By the time we see him in the scene you mentioned he was already ready and probably hoping she will ask him to go with her. That's why he accepted so easily.
It's your opinion i will say to others try it yourself nd see whether you like it or not
This is actually a good warning! I also went in with high expectations and s2 felt like a slap to my face. There is a good reason the s2 page has so many mixed reviews. Unfortunately, it needs to be watched for someone to decide if they like it or not. Some even liked s2 more than s1. But it’s true that they feel like 2 completely different shows.
He also kissed her in ep 4. Funny how forgettable that seems to be but that's not surprising since the characters…
The 1st season had it's issues but I found it enjoyable so it was easy to overlook them but this season felt as if i was watching a completly different show, like a spin-off or like someone else said a bad fanfic.
I think the reason so many people found it disappointing is because of the expectations build from the 1st season that were not met in the slightest in this one.
If this had been a new series i don't think people would complain this much as they would know where they were getting into and could decide to watch or drop it early enough but as a sequel it fails completely.
but i think, i really need to watch it. i’m so curious on what happened to Mu-Deok after she jumped into the…
You need to see for yourself to decide with this one. It seems some liked it even more than s1. At least you can adjust your expectations. I went in with high expectations after finishing the 1st season and enjoying it so this one was like a slap to my face. ╥﹏╥
I'm currently on ep 7. He KISSED her thinking of her as Jin Bu Yeon?! Ownnn.. He LOVES BOTH.... *.*
He also kissed her in ep 4. Funny how forgettable that seems to be but that's not surprising since the characters themselves acted like it never happened and I don't mean pretending like it didn't happen due to akwardess but they acted like it never actually happened! (≖_≖ )
I read both novel and watched SVSSS and I agreed lol
When i first started this I also immediately thought of SVSSS but i think the similarity is mostly in the concept than the exact story since there are some key differences as the 2nd ML being aware of how the story unfolded in the original timeline etc.
plus what was that kiss in ep 4? why did he kiss her ? is it because he wanted to thank her for staying with him…
It's quite worrisome if he is thanking whoever helps him sleep with a kiss! 😅 Better try some sleeping pills next time!
In all seriousness though that was really weird. They definitely had not reached that point in their relationship to have a kiss at that time. Also, It was like it never happened. And I don't mean the characters pretending it didn't happen due to akwardess but they acted like it never actually happened! I know that it was briefly mentioned later but only as a throwaway comment.
It feels like they added all the tropes and sweet scenes they could think from the start but without the ground work for it.
Monkey D. Luffy: Brazilian
Roronoa Zoro: Japanese
Nami: Swedish
Usopp: African
Sanji: French
I put the rest on a spoiler below
