When all is said and done, though, what bothers me the most is the fact that so many young girls are crazy for this drama. The message it sends is so negative, all my female cells are screaming in frustration. Possibly, I'm just a fossil. LOL

By the way, it's nice to meet you. Your avatar is adorable! :D

First of all, please forgive me for taking so long in finally replying to your nice message. Now and then I undergo periods of drama-refusal, and the last 3 weeks were an example of it. I see however, that you haven't been online a lot lately either, so I feel a little less guilty.:)

Thank you for sharing your opinion on ItaKiss. A little voice in my head tells me that it's useless as well as not very correct to write a negative review criticizing the main point of the drama, i.e. the character of the main heroine. I KNEW the plot, I decided to watch it despite it, so at the end of the day it's my fault if I ended up hating the experience. At some point by the end of the drama, however, I was so furious I couldn't stop myself. Like you say, it's a common enough trait of shoju mangas, and like you say, I too wish they would finally stop repeating the trope.

Lumi dearest,
I have to apologize a hundred times for desappearing all of a sudden in the middle of our conversation. The idea was to switch off the pc during a heavy storm and I stayed away from the site for 3 weeks. I'm terrible. Actually, I've stayed away from anything related to asian dramas, even dramas themselves. I have these weird moments, in which I need to completely unplug.

Anyway, I hope you're doing fine and... Santa Clause is called Babbo Natale (Father Xmas) in Italian. ;)

Best award of all goes to israel? LMFAO! They even use high propganada on these kind of programmas. Israel doesn't…
@Bedriye: Do you even know who Leon Prudovsky is, and what his work is like? I bet you haven't given his short movie even a glimpse - and why should you? Your prejudice is so blatant I'm not even sure you would learn something. Which is a shame, because Welcome and our Condolences is a witty, intelligent and dark-humorous movie, which fully deserves the prize.
Next stop: a book shop to purchase a good atlas.

LOL, no, I came back to put a master plan in motion: the destruction of Lee Min Ho's image under a shower.
I'm still concocting the details...
Hohohohohoho <- weird evil character's laugh

To be honest, I put in on hold at the time because the subs were slow and not completed yet. Then, like it often happens, I almost forgot about the drama, but I will pick it up again very soon, since you say it's a good one.:) Like you, I also like watching 1 drama at a time. I found that too much meat on the grill makes me enjoy nothing the way I should. Possibly because I tend to immerse in a story and sort of live with the characters. The reason why I have so many "opened" dramas now, is that none of them has captured me enough for an immersion. I'm... testing the ground, so to speak.
After the japanese feast with Osozaki and Soratobu, I needed a change of pace and theme. That's why I stumbled upon IHYV and loved it. But Korean dramas have to be taken in small doses - at least that's how I feel. ;)
Btw, did you watch Tonbi?

I haven't. I tried starting it a couple of months ago, but like you I was too much into Japan at the time to truly appreciate it and the first 15 minutes didn't impress me. I know 15 minutes are truly nothing, but I go through periods in which I start 10 things and drop 9, lol.
So I think I'll keep this one for later on. Keep me informed on how you like it till the end.
I've been slacking a lot, drama-wise. I watch one at a time, if ever. Now I have 4 or 5 in my currently watching list, but none has managed to capture me entirely.
If your Korean phase goes on, may I suggest you give "I Hear Your Voice" a try? I loved than one, it was a truly enjoyable experience.

Good morning my friend,
it's been a very long time since we shared interesting opinion about dramas and related contents. ;) I've missed it.
How are you? I've seen in the feeds page you're watching a Korean drama. Liking it?
I'm watching dramas like I would eat cherries: one now, another later, suddently a handful, then nothing for a while... lol

What's that gif of Park Soo Ha in the movie theater w/ Hye Song for I hear your voice? Like i didn't see that…
It's a commercial. The two have done a few together, all of them very cute. Check them out on the Tube (I think you just need to type Hye Sung & Soo Ha, or viceversa). :)

It's been such a long time since I was able to watch Viki - due to country restriction - I'm not sure how this…
I'm not that familiar with how the streaming websites work... no, wait, let's say that I don't don't know it at all, lol. I hope you're right, though: the more sites, the merrier! ;)

A propos merry occurences: it's a pleasure to read you, Jeanie. :D
*the fact that you always appear in the guise of gorgeous shota-kun has nothing to do with my happiness. Nothing whatsoever...* ;);)

It's been such a long time since I was able to watch Viki - due to country restriction - I'm not sure how this will impact my daily life as a drama viewer.
I used to enjoy the site very much, both for the quality of the subs as well as for the often hilarious comments. But, as I said, that's past history and it's been a while now since I've erased Viki from my favourites, being useless for me. :(

Hi Arashi,
thank you so much for your very kind words.:) I truly appreciate them. I'm well aware my negative reviews tend to go a little over the top at times: I confess there's something about the things I didn't like that provokes me more than those I loved. Ironically, I find more pleasure in bashing than praising - there must be something very naughty hidden in my brain... a little devil, perhaps. ;)
Or, possibly, I should simply surrender to the fact that tastes vary a lot and, just like you wrote in your profile, it's no use judging a drama for its intrinsic quality and just give voice to our feelings.
Therefore, thank you again for reading despite everything. And forgive me for this long reply... I must exercise a little conciseness, lol.
:D

I do have an Indian nick, but my real name is a much humbler and shorter Rita. ;)
Two Weeks has been put in my PTW list, I definitely want to give it a try in Autumn or Winter, when the summery "lightness" is over and a more sober predisposition creeps in. Let me know if the whole drama lives up to the expectations, please. :D

True.
Watching a drama should be a pleasure, if it becomes a sort of chore it's useless: we all have enough of those! I see 30+ episodes as an exertion.
I also think Japanese have a more... suave way of telling stories, which usually puts me in a good mood after the emotions of K-dramas. I adore these last, but not in massive doses, or they drain me. ;)

please my dear, don't be influenced by my comments. Indeed, I don't like either directors, I think they are both grossly overrated (mostly Tarantino). But as long as you're not going to watch Seom, or the latest Moebius, which promises to be just as revolting, you may be safe with Kim Ki Duk. I know he has done lyric things too, but I'm invariably sceptical towards directors who retort to the most graphic violence, often against women, children and animals. I can't help asking myself what they are trying to demonstrate.

Now that your brother is fed, I'm going to cook something for myself too. ;);)

Tumbling is great!
You make me wish to re-watch it. I remember liking it all the more because I didn't expect anything from that drama, but ended up loving it.
It's great to marathon through Japanese dramas: it seems to me their format lends itself better for long non-stop watching. Plus it reminds me of the good old times, when every drama felt so different and fresh. ;)

I started Summer Nude when it began airing, but by the second episode the wait for subs was so long and frustrating I decided to start the drama once it's completed and subbed in toto. Hope I won't have to wait until 2015! :P

No, there's really nothing you can do. Use the waiting time to enjoy the remnants of the Summer, think of it as a holiday. After all, you have never been idle for a long time after the study marathon, so I think you deserve to have more free time. I do however understand how stressful it must be to wait in uncertainty. Just don't bandage your head before it's broken: it may never break! :D

I'm back from my short holiday break, but I'm taking things slowly and relaxing. I'm watching a drama episode now and then without any stress, mainly because there's nothing that keeps me so invested to be eager to see the next ep.
I will be relatively steady on my MDL visits though, so you can count on me, at least until my next translation deadline, lol. ;)

How about you, my dear?
Back on duty or are you still enjoying a bit of summer vacations? Here school won't start before the second week of september. :)

Hello Rukia,
well written about The Master's Sun! I couldn't agree more and although I'm not watching Two Weeks because I'm not in the mood for very dramatic shows, I will start Who Are You, which seems less ridiculous and a lot more logical. :)
I'm afraid you will get quite a few thumbs down for that review, but that's just because the drama's not over yet. Early reviews are not generally loved. :/

:)
