Do you know if she will die again? and reincarned before the final?? i read that she has 3 lifes??
I see the 3 lives thing as kind of a misinterpretation of the original work. The only time Chong Zi really dies and reincarnates is during her first life. During her second life, her body dies and she merges with the sword. Both her soul and memories are intact, and she can use the sword's power to appear in front of ppl. (It's like how Wan Jie becomes one with a sword but can come out to interact with ppl). So technically she didn't die. I would say she only died once throughout the whole story.
Once she successfully merges with the sword, she will gain enormous powers and become the second Ni Lun. As a person with the responsibility of protecting the world, her shifu had to make the painful decision. You could say he didn't trust her enough to still remain a good person after embracing her demonic energy, but in his position, he couldn't risk it. And that's what hurt Chong Zi the most. It's that just like the other people, he also does not trust her, and he will go on to hurt her many more times for this reason. This is early foreshadowing of their shattering relationship. Both of their actions are understandable, it's the cruel fate that's spinning its wheel against them.
The fact that he didn't know that the cup was empty AND when he drink from the cup there's no wine LOL, really…
He was probably so embarrassed and flustered knowing FL was trying to confess to him, so he tried to pretend to be calm by drinking, even tho there was no wine XD
Depends on your standards. I watched the first few episodes last night and was very underwhelmed, especially by…
Second life Chong Zi (Wen Zi) has a very different personality from first life Chong Zi. Wen Zi is a lot more calm, composed, well-mannered and rule-abiding.
He really dead. It was confirmed by Amy. She read the book
It's a slowburn drama. The story picks up a bit later on. If you're not enjoying it now, maybe you could come back after the second arc starts and look at the comments to see if people are enjoying it by then. Then you can decide on whether to continue watching.
Unfortunately dropped. I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. Chong Zi became too annoying for me and…
When I read the novel, the best part was after she became evil. So maybe you can try picking it up again when that happens. You can come back and check if people are enjoying it more or not by then.
Who are the second male leads? Every guy seems to be attracted to her but curious which one will actually develop…
"which one will actually develop a deep, unrequited love story wth her" ALL OF THEM XD
Jokes aside, Zhuo Hao is second lead and has more screentime than Qin Ke, but Qin Ke gets the most intimate moments with FL late story and their line is more tragic.
Tbh, this is the first time for me. I don't feel any chemistry between CZ and YF in this kind of storyline (teacher…
There's not supposed to be much romance in FL's first life, because they are master-disciple. It takes some time for the ML to acknowledge his feelings.
Yeah, acting-wise he's not doing much so far. I mean, staring meaningfully and casting sigils isn't really the…
The later part of the story requires pretty difficult acting from the ML, specially after the leads' relationship goes south. I won't go into details, but the hardest acting part is at the grand finale. I'm looking forward to what Jeremy can do there.
No, Chong Zi's character in the drama is completely different from the book, and the author did mention that characterization…
Second this!! Having read the book, I know when Chong Zi first came to Nan Hua, she was LITERALLY a child (10 years old like you said). So of course she is childish, like a child should be. She was changed to be older in the drama version, cuz it would be creepy to watch her shifu raise her as a child in the drama, given that people already hate age gaps and father-daughter relationships. So they changed her age, but her original personality remains.
Jokes aside, Zhuo Hao is second lead and has more screentime than Qin Ke, but Qin Ke gets the most intimate moments with FL late story and their line is more tragic.
