Fair enough comment, I hope others don't attack you for it. Some people have to realize, just because you don't like a drama doesn't make you a hater. No drama is perfect and just because someone else might love a drama doesn't mean everyone else will. People can criticize a drama without being a hater, thats what the comments are for, discussion, not just blindness praise or also blindness hate. Everyone can have their opinion, just be respectful like your comment is.
Btw just for those interested, Journey of Legend set another 2025 record with 28m premiere views on yunhe, the highest among all 2025 dramas. Debuted #1 on Yunhe and Kuyun daily charts. For those that don't know, yunhe is one of the most used and trusted measures of a shows success in China (alongside heat index and advertisement numbers), as it demonstrates the daily views a show gets, among other things, which is pretty much all that the producers, actors, studios etc care about mainly (alongside a couple other measures of course).
Popularity on social media and stuff is great, but at the end of the day in China, the studios and actors etc mainly care about the viewership, heat and advertisements, when it comes to measuring a shows success. Obviously, still a long way to go, but this is a very impressive debut, as it has already set a number of 2025 records, and hope it continues.
I know people say don't worry about data and stuff, but I find it interesting. It doesn't affect whether I am going to watch a drama or not, for instance twelve letters didn't have great numbers but I absolutely loved it. So I'll watch a drama regardless of its data, but I just find looking at the data interesting and letting people know for those that are also interested.

The CCP or communists are annoying sometimes, also more annoying support characters like sister in laws and stuff. But I liked how the romance developed. Not as good as the first arc, but gets better as it goes, all just depends on how annoying you find the communists and some of the annoying supporters characters like Qing. The first arc was good cause it had minimal annoying support characters. The story is not bad, just more communist/political involvement and the romance story is not as simple as the first arc because of annoying in laws and stuff. The FL for the second arc has a tougher time with less support.
I'm watching ep 7 and find the story very captivating. Why the rating is so low, does it get so much worse later?

Such a good show, watched it when express released a week ago and slowly watched the rating go up from under an 8, to 8.8. Wish tencent gave it more promotion, great story line and superb acting, honestly my favorite drama of the year. I was not expecting the show to be as heavy and emotional as it was, while also being so heartwarming at times. Was unsure about the time travel element but it was executed well and did not overshadow the overall story. Also, lets be real, most of us are here for the ML and FL, so as far as I'm concerned we got a happy ending, sorry Sheng Cheng (even though it hinted he was still around so all good).

The photos at the end of ep 12, show that they stayed together for life pretty much, seeing the snow together and celebrating birthdays together throughout the years
For those interested, the photos at the end credits with little writing roughly translate to: the snow photo the writing on it says, seeing the snow for the first with with A Xun, and the cakes are celebrating birthday's with A Xun, 20th, 30th, 40th, 50th, and 54th and 2026. Roughly translate to that I think.

I agree, especially about the double, had no idea they had that special extra 10 min episodes till a while after. I was happy they did, but why not just include that 10 min extra special episode in the final episode, instead of going to all the trouble making an extra episode to give us a proper ending. Just recently did the same with When destiny brings the demon. Another open ending, obviously hinting at a happy ending, but why not make it more obvious.
I want to suggest Twelve Letters, but this one is weird so I will leave it up to admin, even if it doesn't make the list, definitely suggest a watch for people that read the comments. 12 episodes of emotional beauty. It is heavy and traumatic, but also heartwarming and beautiful, a true masterpiece, one of the best cdramas this year, deserves more attention. The ML and FL support each other through thick and thin, and I mean thick and thin. They go through hell together, something two teenagers should never experience. Yet they stick together, support each other, become each others family, and have a happy ending. However, this story is told in a dual timeline way. In ep 8, we see in the original timeline, ML goes to prison for murder to protect FL and fakes his death, so she can leave a good life without him. However, this is only in one episode, through sending letters back in time, the ML and FL are warned of this potential outcome, and change the future, so they have a happy ending, with no break up or misunderstanding. Because of the way the story is told not sure if it will be on the list. In the timeline that matters, the Ml and FL never break up or have misunderstanding and it's a happy ending. But in ep 8 we see in the 'original timeline' as I explained before, we see ML faking his death in prison so FL can live a good life without him. But this timeline is changed, so technically it never happened. Tough to explain, its a unique storytelling method, up to admin if it will be on the list, but none the less, for people that read the comments, worth a watch, so good, but be prepared its not a light or easy watch.

Its is satisfying and happy. I would have liked it to be a bit longer, but it is a happy ending, maybe not so much for the 2ML (thats more open), but lets be real this show was always about the ML and FL, they got their happy ending so thats all that matters
