Regarding the fact that he found someone else while still in a 'couple,' it’s not badly executed, but it's written in a very realistic way, much more than the fantasies often depicted in dramas where a boy and a girl in their 30s can sleep together chaste while still loving each other. It’s an idea I would even say is dangerous in the consciousness of young people... but then again, it leaves room for us to dream... and maybe that’s what we like too.

CHEATING....
It's easy to judge a situation like this, but human emotions are often complex and unpredictable. The boy seems to have acted with honesty and sincerity towards the first girl, even though he may have hurt her in the process (when he called to tell her). He respected his own feelings by choosing to follow a path where he felt authentic and honest for the long term, rather than staying in a relationship devoid of true love. However, on the other hand, he broke an implicit promise to remain engaged without feeling true love. At the beginning, he wasn’t sure of his own feelings for the first girl, but now he seems to have found a deep and mature love, which doesn’t rely solely on physical attraction, and he’s willing to sacrifice his life for her in such a short time.
On the other hand, the first girl shows possessive and narcissistic traits, which could have unbalanced the relationship. However, what troubles me a bit in the narrative is the speed at which he seems to have felt this true and absolute love in just two weeks (considering the training before the departure). A connection like that in such a short time... After all, why not? I don't know.

The only real valuable thing is intuition," reminding us that what feels true or important can shift based on our viewpoint. It’s a reminder to consider other angles before forming conclusions. "Everything is relative"
I don't see the point of this article gathering only negative comments to influence others. A review should always be fair and present both sides. For me, this kind of approach is useless, and I’m surprised by how many similar examples can be found online.
That's a valid point! The director clearly took a risk stepping out of his comfort zone, but sometimes even the best intentions don't match what the audience expects. It's a bit like ordering a dish at a restaurant that sounds amazing on the menu, but doesn't quite hit the mark. But in the end, it’s always about readjusting, and each experience brings us closer to the right choice. Maybe next time, he'll find the perfect balance between his own desires and yours as an audience! :))) As a viewer, you have more power than the director.
I love your 1st comment, however I think all the actors you mentioned ( Gong You Lee Dong Wook Lee Min Ho or Gong Hyo-jin are on the A-list actors , and the director (who is much more important than an actor) is also on the A-list. Success is never predictable, but trying to diversify projects and step out of one’s comfort zone is always appreciated in the art of filmmaking. And yes, a script with flaws is something no one can truly fix during production or post-production. But this script also has good aspects; it's not something to discard entirely either. And sometimes the audience may strongly reject a film upon its release because their expectations were different, leading to a strong reaction. But later, years down the line, they might come back to rediscover and appreciate the work. Conversely, a film might be a success in its time but fail to stand the test of time and fade from memory.
It's a very good drama, especially considering how difficult it is to craft a compelling plot set in space. They've…
Yes, exactly, I agree with you! I love healthy discussions, and I’m sure having different ideas makes a conversation even better. I’m going to add this thought :) Watching a movie, a series, or looking at a painting reflects our quest for identity and meaning. If a work doesn’t resonate with us and we can’t relate to it, then it simply isn’t meant for us. What distinguishes a universally recognized masterpiece from a mainstream product designed to please everyone lies in its authenticity and depth. A quality work explores emotions, themes, or universal questions that resonate with humanity on a lasting level, whereas mainstream productions primarily aim to meet immediate audience expectations, often by following predictable formulas. One transcends trends, while the other conforms to them.
I am what is generally designated on MDL as a 'hater' of this drama (i.e. If you don't think everything is a fucking…
Personally, I prefer to TRY something experimental, even if it might be bad, rather than spend my time watching ten completely identical series, generated based on viewers' preferences – probably by AI. Yet, that’s the direction Netflix and other platforms seem to be heading. Even this site collects our behavior as viewers. Do you really think current productions don’t use that data? In series, there are three things: rapid consumption of what the audience likes to better insert product placements, standardization to maximize viewership, and often propaganda for trendy ideologies of the moment. I’m not saying this series is exempt from those three things ...But sometimes the balance is at its peak—what do you think?
I’ll rewrite after episode 8 – A daring K-drama, free from clichés, sometimes awkward but with deep psychological layers. It tackles ethical questions and explores what love, death, life, procreation, and boundaries mean, but also humanity, power and misuse of money ... The portrayal of adult relationships is both realistic and Romanticized love, approached with such subtlety that it's hard to grasp all its nuances at first glance. There's satire and caricature.
The cast delivers solid performances , and the director delivers great job ,The cinematography is well-crafted and visually pleasing. The music is sublime in every episode, whether it's Mozart, Psy, or Jin...
The storyline is inventive but has a distinctive style that might not appeal to everyone. While there are imperfections in the execution of some ideas in the script, it deserves far more recognition than 70% of 2024's C-dramas and K-dramas. Given the star-studded cast, including the director, this is a bold and risky project they dared to take on."

I think a star like him has a lot of influence on the production, unless the subject is specifically written for the stars. And it's LMH who chooses his projects

Your point of view is very constructive, thank you. Regarding FL, it's not her personal life that's in question, but sometimes it's clear that they are distant or don't accept giving a kiss or a hug...

This series is exactly the same subject as Outlander, but two years earlier (they may have been inspired by the novel). It could be a real international success.
*Only, I think on the romance side, even though both actors played well, there was a lack of physical contact at times in those scenes, where it really needs a bit more... I think the female lead being married should be avoided (does he always have to play with married and uptight women? lol).but on the action side and everything else, it’s great (I think).*
Lol. Which other dramas of his have you watched? I highly recommend King eternal monarch and Legend of the blue…
I watched Boys Over Flowers recently (even though LMH acts really beautifully in this serie with his presence and very authentic character). This series has aged badly, anyway, it's a cheesy movie where the guy has to constantly 'buy' the girl's love... and Heris is the 1+ version of the same subject and the same type of girl..
The only good thing about this drama is finally I developed a crush on lee min ho.I never understood the hype…
Lee Min Ho has a unique charisma and on-screen presence. All of his movies are captivating. For a wide audience, shows like *Eternal Monarch*, *Legend of the Blue Sea*, and *Personal Taste* have really shaped his iconic image. But As an actor, he’s impressed in a range of roles, with shows like *Pachinko*, *Gangnam 1970*, "City Hunter" and *Faith* .. I think, as an actor now, like everyone else, he's trying to find a niche, a genre where he can hold on for the next 10 years. Anyway, rom-coms are over, I think... He seems to struggle with choosing his co-stars. Yes, they are often experienced, sometimes maybe even too much... For example, Park Bo Gum knows how to choose, I think. Why doesn’t Lee Min Ho play with the younger talented generation like IU, Kim You Jung, Song Hye-kyo, Shin Hae Sun, Suzy? (I think this selection suits him, haha, let me know what you think.)
