So agree.. Duke Su is the best ML ever written and performed. Even if you put him in one drama with other MLs he would still be the one captivating attention.

Also, have in mind that I'm European, never've been to any part of Asia. So:
- I judge only from performance of the show. Interviews, their private life I don't know.
- the cultural difference vis-a-vis expectations from the performances. I grew up on Hollywood production, so overacting looks cheap to me (Like Esther Yu performances).

Dear @Marwen Ricky, thank you for your comment. I excluded the school project. Now, his average rating is 8,36 which is again the highest in C drama world.

I wrote in the criteria, alongside objective criteria (kisskh average rating) The actor must have role that makes you lose your sleep. And though Ling Buyi is amazing, he is no where near Duke Su. My account here I made after The Double, to check if there's more drama like that, and then I went down the rabbit hole, and watched over 30 drama.

But I do agree, that Ling Bu Yi, Ashile Sun have a high 3rd place. Which is amazing per my criteria. Because these are the only actors whose shows I watched without skipping. the rest, is hardly watchable. I usually watch 5 episodes before deciding to drop the show.

Also, @Pytheos and @Marwen Ricky, have you guys watched The Double? I would love to hear your opinion on it.

Everything WXY plays is a masterpiece. So looking forward to this.

I watched all versions of this show, The original one has best FL and Hua Ze Lei, this one has best ML. Thai one has best plot, makes the most sense, but maybe they went to soft and that alienated them from manga original. All in all this one is the best.

So true. But he is so good at playing that character.

I know there are many other actors others would consider better fit. If so please suggest I will watch their drama, and if I complete the drama without skipping that means they should be on the list.

This is so real. The only flaw is last 10 min. It would be better if they gave us good marital life scenes :)

4h time rewatch✌🏼 team here. Please tell me guys in China are like Duke Su 🫠 If so, I'm moving there

I would never usually watch something like LBFAD, the plot is such a trap to look cheap, and cliche, especially with FL having squeaky voice and having no expression in the face but confusion. By comments I would say that's a hot thing in China, but for me as European viewer her performance is on the level of low budget short series.
But all in all, I was shocked I like something like this. He saved the plot and cast with his performance.
Also, I liked the rivalry between ML and 2nd ML. The first time they meet at Arbiter hall is wow. Amazing representation of both characters.

I watched now Guardians of The Dafeng, Only for Love, Rational Life, Meteor Garden. My favorite drama with him as ML is:
