The second disciple is pretty irrelevant like the rest. Only notable ones are the first/senior disciple, Ninth (RIP) and looks like 16th is gonna have more of a role in later episodes.
Can't stop smiling from the latest episodes, Mark does such a wonderful job with portrying the range of emotions and expressions of Ye Hua. This arc's 'ready got me falling in love all over again ❤
I am struggling with episode 27. It doesn't make sense why heaven concubine's evil deeds are not called…
Because the Heaven King conspired with Su Jin to get rid of Su Su, and Crown Prince knows this but has no evidence. Also Heaven King owes Su Jin for her tribe's sacrifice in the last war so there's no way he would complicate Su Jin in this.
Can any novel readers tell me if Mo Yuan loves Si Yin? I know Si Yin has nothing but respect for him, but I want…
I'm gonna stick to theory #2 for my heart's sake lol. Call me greedy, but I totally ship Mo Yuan with Bai Qian too. As someone who started reading the novel AFTER watching the drama, I definitely have a soft spot for these two.
I wonder if Shao Wan - Mo Yuan's book will be in similar format as this one? As in transcending through lifetimes - from before and after Bai Qian's story, or either as a sequel or prequel to Bai Qian's arc.
I just realized, isn't The Princess Wei Young like copying Empress Ki at times? All of the events are the…
Damn if you're not familiar with something - calling it copying is the LAST thing you wanna do. These are common palace themes that have always existed in Chinese historicals - both in drama and in history (yes "Cold Palace" actually exists, not just in drama, hunting games are an imperial hobby, inner palace servants can be just as cutthroat as their masters). You'll find a lot of these recurring tropes in any Chinese historical/palace drama.
In fact, Empress Ki simply adapted to some of these themes as she did enter a Chinese imperial harem after all.
The moment we've all been waiting for FINALLY happened, and it was every bit as I had expected. Glad she's back to being Bai Qian, even tho I loved the romance in the previous arc, Su Su was too damn frustrating and events too heartbreaking.
Having seen Zhang Vin as KO in 'Love O2O' and as Yi Mu in 'Pretty Li Hui Zhen' I am already…
Yup I hope for his own sake Peter Sheng takes lessons and supporting roles to work on his skills if he wants to stay in acting. But he's stiff in real life too lol and seems overwhelmed/at a loss being in the public eye. He's a lovely singer tho (he sang the GPG OST), something I didn't expect XD
Vin Zhang is such a cutie! In the BTS for Eternal Love, he was so shy in filming intimate scenes as if he doesn't know what to do around women, totally opposite of the natural playboy vibe he was owning in the drama. He has very expressive eyes that pulls you right in and gets my full attention on screen everytime:)
Dilraba and Vin together is the reason why I'm looking forward to "The King's Woman"! I also heard so much about their chemistry, and story sounds intriguing. Reminds me of the story of Fan Li and Xi Shi. Only thing I'm scared about is the high chance of Vin being the second male lead again, if you know anything about The Legend of Qin and its protagonist as "The King's Woman" is a prequel about the mother of the protagonist.
I'm sure he will rock the angst that is to be expected in the drama, and do every justice for his character. He is so good at those second lead roles lol, he even outshines the lead males, but for my heart's sake I hope he gets the girl for once!

Reading the eng trans now and I do think Mo Yuan likes her. He never loses his composure ever, yet when she talked about her engagement to Ye Hua he did. Doesn't ask much about Ye Hua's life, but rather if she loves him. As it's written in Bai Qian's pov she didn't pick up on the subtle signs. Maybe I'm reading too much into it as I'm biased, yet it's too implicit to ignore. Poor Mo Yuan, I hope he finds love in his own book !
This is nice. I thought there wont be another drama to follow the fantasy story of the journey of flower but this…
Also wasn't sure about Mark in the beginning! but I realized that's just how his characters were supposed to be - stoic, because his expressions were on point when he was allowed to show more. He's really impressing me as in his role:)

I started reading summaries and comments online to find out, and readers are divided - some say no, others say yes and provide clues why. Seems like the author made it ambiguous. But since I want to believe he does, I guess you're right that it's not fated and there was nothing he can dooo
Reminds me of many of the great historical drama, except more repetitive. Does anyone know why this drama isn't…
I don't know the full story or details, but sounds like Eternal Love already bought the rights and started filming before the author got busted. With plagiarism being such a tacky issue and bad press, doubt the production would've picked it up had they knew. Production company dropped the idea of doing the spinoff Pillow Book which they indicated interest in until the author was revealed to have plagiarized.
