I hope Ming Yi would be able to think of the possibility that she could just ask for the Golden Millet Dream to Ji Bo Zai. So far, all she knew was that it was the only one in the world and she didn't know that it's not just a mere bottle—only Ji Bo Zai knew that it should be cultivated with, so stealing it from him might not be necessary. The thing is, we still don't get why Ming Yi refuses to ask for help to him, and what holds her back from doing so when they have already established a bond. Would her position as the Crown Prince (being Ming Xian) be affected, or because of other reasons that would implicate the Yaoguang Mountain? I hope they would clarify this as soon as possible because her scheme is taking time that things might only get worse for them both. 🥺
When Ming Yi saw Ji Bozai got struck by the lightning, it was evident in her eyes that she felt sorry for him and was also surprised that he actually loves her already. When she helped Ji Bozai get up, it was not just out of pity. She knew it was her fault, and it seemed like she was already about to confess when she said "Ji Bozai, actually, I..." right before he bite her lips which stopped her from talking.
And even if that probably wasn't really what Ming Yi is trying to do, as far as I see, it was understandable that she can't reveal her identity to Ji Bozai. She's after a valuable "thing" he has right from the start, so her reason of approaching him is enough for her to die in his hands, atleast maybe in her point of view. She can't trust her dear life to him knowing there is an interplay of deception between their bond, hence telling Ji Bozai everything is like walking right in a fiery pit.
Also, she was uncertain of his feelings only until the carving of names. If she realized it sooner, there might be a chance—but she realized it late (which is exactly what build the angst that most of us enjoyed). Thus, I'm fine with the flow of the story. We shouldn't be pointing fingers at her, it was that damn Mu Qibai's fault! 👺
It was heartbreaking, yet amazing at the same time, how the lightning strikes made Ji Bo Zai realize he got betrayed by the first person he wanted to trust but still forced the lightning upon himself. It's also painful to see our man suffer like that... 😭😭😭
So this is what Hou Ming Hao meant when he said Ji Bo Zai was a fool in love. 🥹
I literally screamed and covered my mouth with a pillow because of that "I trust you" scene at the end of EP11! This is definitely going to be a hit internationally. It's been a while since I've ever looked forward to a drama like this. 😩💗
The last scene in Ep6 got me surprised, though it felt like there was more into Situ Ling's character. I also can't tell yet if he is a friend or a foe. Does anyone know how he is in the novel?
If it is unsettling for you, drop it and go on. It is not the only drama out there. Dramaland is meant to entertain.
I only said it is unsettling, but I never said it made me lose interest to not go on. Don't get me wrong, I still want to see it unfold because it's Suzy and Woobin after all. :)
Oh... It could've been better if Genie was not Satan, if they are two different entities. I find Ep1 interesting, but now, Ep2 does seem quite unsettling to me. Idk.
