That's wilddd. It doesn't matter if you are a man or a woman, if you hurt someone who has been genuinely kind to you, you should want to put in effort and be sincere in order to show how apologetic you really are. That's what you do when you care about someone and you regret how you treated them. A simple sorry might work for accidentally bumping into someone in the hallway or grabbing the last piece of fries from a shared plate, but it does not work for humiliating a good friend in front of dozens — maybe even hundreds — of people and hurting her feelings when her only fault was being concerned about you.

I fear TPOB might have ruined you for all future cdramas of the same genres, because same. 😅 It's not my first historical cdrama, but it has raised my standards and I haven't found any drama as good since lol.

For something with similar vibes, I recommend Blossom.
For something slightly different but still pretty good, I recommend Flourished Peony.
For something completely different but just as addicting, I recommend Lost You Forever.

Not long, but there are some people who you only meet for a brief moment and they make an impression on you for the rest of your life. Cherry is a little girl with a big heart. Knowing what she knows of him, she is protective of him. I think the sudden separation - and the years spent wondering if he is okay and if his parents are being more loving towards him - is exactly why she is attached to him.

Aside from Viki, it's also on Netflix (I don't know if this is region locked though.) I see two episodes available so far.

Little Cherry spending all night going through a dictionary so she can give little Jiang Qiao Xi some meaning to his name because his parents failed to put any care into it is so precious to me. Every kid deserves to feel wanted and loved, and it is shameful when a child is more thoughtful than grown adults. Cherry is who she think she is - cute, strong, caring, loyal, and worthy of her title as a little heroine.

And then Jiang Qiao Xi giving his birthday wish to little Du Shang because Du Shang needed it more - I'm crying. Jiang Qiao Xi is always so considerate of others because he knows how it feels to be nothing more than an afterthought. These kids are too sweet. 😭

I'm loving this first episode. ❤️

there are other plotlines but it is definitely romance heavy. it's one of my favorite dramas and I'm currently rewatching it right now lol

I don't know. 🥹 EP15 concluded with the authorities taking Chang Yang away. That's as far as I got in the story so I have no idea what happens next.

Hopefully his name gets cleared fast so we won't have to watch him suffer for too long~

I agree 100%! I love that JCY never discourages her or doubts her capability too. Whether it is her ambitions to make money or her desires to contribute to a better world - he fully believes she can do it. They really are true partners like you said. ❤️

Just finished this episode and I am stresseddddd.

- I'm sad to see Lian Zhou in such a state but I'm happy she is asking for help. Shenyi might not have been saved, but I hope Lian Zhou can be. Imo, the drama is at its strongest when it showcases the sisterhood between all these women.
- I knew Jiang Chang Yang would be framed, but I still hated to see it happen. Their frantic embrace at the end. My poor couple. 😭

I plan to go back to rewatch Flourished Peony from the beginning at least once before 2025 is over. This really is a drama for the times. ❤️
