Pei reminds me of the type of delusional man who thinks that just because a woman smiles at him, it means she wants him and he has a chance. Hu Xiu didn't give him a bandaid because she was romantically interested in him. She would've given a bandaid to anyone. Watching him mention her as if they were close during that awkward family meal gave me secondhand embarrassment. 🤡

The first ten minutes of episode 18 was so satisfying to watch unfold, I stood up and applauded. 👏

I think one of the biggest reasons why some people might ship the SML with the FL is because the actor is handsome lol. If he weren't conventionally attractive, people would never ship a character who lacks integrity like him with the FL. Forget romantic chemistry, I can't even see her taking him seriously as a close friend. She has a strong moral compass and she is incredibly protective of the people around her — I doubt she would want someone like the SML in her circle. At least, not the version he is now anyway.

It makes so much sense now why their previous lovey-dovey scenes made us feel so unsettled, even though there was no concrete evidence back then. He was giving off major red flag vibes. 🤧

This, I can support lol. Pei Zhan is doing what is needed to be done. We need Xiao Zhi Yu to act on his feelings now. 🤧

The fact that he wasn't being upfront with his wife and felt the need to hide information about the other woman from her means he knew he was already in the wrong. If he didn't have a guilty conscience, he wouldn't feel the need to lie. He might not have been physically cheating, but he definitely was having an emotional affair. His "junior" knew things about his life, his mental state, and his work that his own wife didn't even know. For instance, he told his "junior" that he quit first when his wife should've been the first to hear that news. He is not innocent. Emotional cheating is still cheating.

Thank you, thank you! It took me a few episodes to actually fall in love with the drama, but once I did, I was hooked. It is just so addicting! We definitely needed something sweet and light to start off 2026 lol.

Right??? Like the ML couldn't even openly grieve because everyone hated his father. He is the only one who still mourns his father. The least his mother could have done was pretend to be supportive.

1. I am finally caught up! This is the first 2026 drama I’ve actually stuck with~
2. Hu Xiu and Xiao Zhi Yu are the ultimate green flags — I adore them.
3. Slowburn, good vibes, super sweet. This is currently my comfort drama. ❤️

Same. I know people grieve differently, but she remarried so soon after her husband passed away and then forced her young son to embrace a new identity and family as if he wasn't still mourning and traumatized. It feels like ever since she got her new family, she discarded her old one. No wonder why the ML wants very little to do with her now that he is an adult. I don't know if she will ever grow on me lol.
