I want to understand this but I got about 20% understanding...I think... & the rest is total confusion. Is it…
thank you, my exact thoughts, people are acting like there are enough clues in this show but this episode was a lot of random jigsaw pieces that don't fit together. Like do you know why those two guys got arrested in the first place that they needed to be released?
I'm coming to the conclusion that no BL should be allowed to portray abuse. Currently they are showing way too much abuse in a way that's quite disjointed with the rest of the story. BLs often prioritise romance in the story and this often clashes with the themes of abuse. I wish they spent more time exploring Uea as a character rather than creating drama with several abusers. Also, I'm not a fan of the trope where the boyfriend romances the abused character better.
For the record, I really love the NetJames dynamic and they're doing a good job but I think the story telling needs revamping. We still have 5 episodes, so maybe it head in a different direction.
Do you think that's what happen to Phu? If that's the case, I'm going to be severely disappointed.
Ahh okay no I haven't but a lot of the comments say to not watch it to avoid being disappointed with the new one. I agree, I hate the comedy. It lowering the quality of the series I'm not sure what the motivation behind that was. Maybe it was to appeal to a younger audience. Sprinkles of humour would have been okay but most of the comedy isn't even funny.
Not a bad first episode. I feel like they should of gave a bit more whispers of what's to come, like what's the challenge these characters are going to have to face? I really hope this show will have some sort of interesting story to explore and not just a bunch of random stuff happening.
Everything was so bloody amazing about this show. So many great things to gas up but I really have to highlight how well they explored the queer identity, especially from a generational point of view. It was great to see.
I really like OHMFLUKE but for some reason the BLS they are in together always confuses me and/or gets kind of…
I was very annoyed about WeeGame, they were completely mishandled and could have elevated the series. Their last resolution was so cringe I couldn't help but roll my eyes. I really like ohmfluke too. I don't know why after UWMA they haven't been able to catch another good show. Same thing has been happening with Kim Copter.
I finally finished this show. It was kinda meh. Initially it was fun to work out the rules of the parallel worlds (the first half) but after that the rest of the story. It felt like a concept show, like they were presenting a cool premise but it didn't have a good story to go with it. Almost like we caught some glimpse of their reality. It lacked a lot of highs and lows. The first ending (sad) felt very unfinished and not final. I wanted to feel way more moved and sad. Then the second ending felt particularly weak like too many things aligned without good reasoning for the resolution.
I'm loving this show. BL is feeling new and exciting again! The cinematography is just beautiful and it's building up the suspense really well. I can't wait for the next few episodes.
This show is soo fucking good. The aesthetics, the story, the acting - they're all done to perfection. It's one of the best BLs I've watched in a long time.
For the record, I really love the NetJames dynamic and they're doing a good job but I think the story telling needs revamping. We still have 5 episodes, so maybe it head in a different direction.
