Only saw the trailer and nothing else, I seriously did NOT expect the story to be so dark lol. Wow, what a surprised, at some moments I thought I was watching a horror series!
I think all the female casts are absolutely great with their characters, they carried this show. I thought it'll be like a rom-com, rich/poor hierarchy fun drama but man what a turn haha. TBH, Um Ji Won should of been listed as one of the Main Role and the third sister should be supporting, because damn she was great.
Not bad, but not great. I think they did the suspense/dragging who was Big Mouth a bit too much. They gave alot of possibility of who Big Mouth is and eventually one guessed landed lol. If you watched Memorist (2020) of Yoo Seung Ho, it was almost similar to how that series depicting who was the killer, they provide all suspects and gave chase all around the drama lol. Villain death doesn't feel rewarding, as in, they got off too easily. A bit rushed? I think.
Overall, I think it's OK to binged. If I had watched this when it aired, I would of go insane by the amount of times guessing who's Big Mouth is, or chasing Big Mouth.
Damn. Lovin' this series. He's disassemble the whole family. Him taking revenge feels sweet, although I think the series' been too 'perfect' for him, nothing is ever a blocker for him. Feels good that he always prevail, but don't feel 'rewarded' enough if that make sense. I guess momentarily excitement/reward, but after some thoughts, the situation is too smooth, no competition, no opponents.
Grandpa doesn't trust him, but he cannot not like Do Jun, because he sees so much of himself in his grandson.
The love between MC and FL kinda odd and forced. He saw her only briefly in his previous life, but all of a sudden grew so attached to her after reincarnated. lol...
MC got bullet-kun previous life, and now truck-kun is after him. ):
I hadn't read it, but the description said adapted from a novel. Given how FL is being written in this series so far, I am just speculating. Not having romance is OK for me, but I dislike it when authors write a character just because it serves the purpose of being a love interests to the ML. So I'd rather see other interesting characters being the Lead instead.
The youngest daughter and her husband is really funny lol. Especially the husband, he's so timid hahaa.
Also liking the small character development with Chang Je, he has a bit more backbone now with new authority and supporter. But lets see if he can keep that up, Grandpa is ruthless~
And honestly, I think Mo Hyun Min is rather appealing as second or third lead than just supporting character. Just because of the background she has. She can also join the fight or mess it up. We saw our FL in glory before the reincarnation because she was a prosecutor, but right now she's just a student while our ML is already have so much power. So the dynamic is way off. Unless in the novel the author only wrote her in to be a love interests, which would sucks.
He's too sentimental. Going after the car company just to save the employees is a terrible business decision.…
Maybe you have missed the point or scene where it happened. In his previous life, when Ahjin Motors was acquired and laid off employees, his Dad went to protest and got beat. His mother saw it on the news and thus fainted and probably lead to her deteriorated heath and died. He wanted to keep the employees so his Dad will have the job and not repeating what happened. I would of done the same TBH, I would do everything possible to keep my Mother safe if I can prevent it. But as we can see, the event with his Mother still happened. She passed and we do not know why yet. That was the reason he's adamant on employees buyout. Looking forward to episode 6!
The drama is heavy in politics and business, as expected. I find it interesting, seems for mature audience or those who likes business/finance. For those who's watching for SJK and expecting to be lovey dovey, I think you should drop it now lol. Lee Sung Min and Song Joong Ki, fantastic duos. They delivered so well especially LSM. Such a great series to end the year with.
Love the fight sequences, although filmed from so many different angles and so fast that Im kind-of dizzy sometimes ;-;. Great wuxia element nonetheless! Read the novel eons ago, forgot how much it involves court officials lol.
Besides the main casts, there were definitely some awkward acting on side/extra characters haha.. They do alot of dialogues and story progression, and then dedicate 30 minutes to fighting to scratch that itch. They probably had to cut some episodes shorter, some transitions aren't as smooth.
Definitely worth a watch if you're a fan of Wuxia!
Just finished part 2. I didn't watch any trailers so had no expectation. So Im guessing they're gearing up for part 3. Hopefully, everybody takes part in number 3, if there is one.
Also, the male mercenary that was with the captain, he's hilarious. He's like Korg in Thor, a comedic relief side character. I hope he's also in the 3rd installment. Part 2 is a bit of a let down, but it was still OK, moving the story along, albeit slowly.
Just come in and watch this as an original story, don't expect it to be the same as Witch part1 and you'll enjoy it. Yes, they do connect, but watch with that mindset and you're good to go. Funny CGI though, like Naruto, hahaha.
80-90%. Not much has changed besides some plot-moving scene. It still very much carries the intend of the original…
Ahh. I watched it a while back and also read it awhile back...so my memories might fail me, but I think it also follow somewhat closely to the novel for S1. I don't think it add anything new? I think the person who played Ning Que did really really well. He's very sly, witty, and cocky, just like the novel. The actresses did a great job too. I hadn't seen S2, so I am not sure regarding that. Although I heard it wasn't received well.

The changes do not take away the real plot of the novel. It is just creative decision by the director or writer. You don't need to read the novel to watch the drama.
Season1 is around 1/3 of the novel. So Im assuming season2 is the second half and then season 3 is the end. Unless they cramped everything into season2.

So the ending for S1 is a creative choice by the director, meaning it did not happen in the novel. So I am kind of excited to see where it goes or which event in the novel it will connects to. As for the harem and other FLs, the novel did a great job at expressing different female characters, their ambitions, personality, among other things. They weren't forgotten. I think the drama also did a great depiction of it. So I don't think they will be forgotten in S2. Although it said harem, but the author isn't known to write great harem or let it be the main focus of his story, so don't expect too much of it (:
I think what he's good at is writing characters and how they interact with each other, dialogues, and with that, progresses through out the story.
Can anyone tell me how much % of the live action version follows the novel I know that the harem genre tag is…
80-90%. Not much has changed besides some plot-moving scene. It still very much carries the intend of the original novel. However, I am not sure about season2. Regarding the harem, he has multiple love interests in the novel. The drama also depicted those.
Not bad but not stellar either. It's certainly better that recent wuxia dramas. But there's no specific styles,…
True, nowadays its more of fantasy-type drama. Gods, Demons, Immortals etc. Back then it was more Jianghu like, pills, sect, secret art manuals, flying from tree to tree instead of flying from Heavenly Palace to Demonic World. Haha.

Oh! I am not sure if you meant for Ever Night or Joy of Life, but the link I provided has both.
