Ok I don’t want to be a downer because I do genuinely enjoy this show, but it just seems to me that the runtime…
I totally agree. I just skim through all the Akk/Ayan scenes because they're 100% predictable and on an endless loop of non-progression. Like when Akk was looking at the photo Ayan took of himself kissing Akk's cheek. The chances were 1,000% that Ayan would show up just then, so why watch it?
I do like everything about Khan & Thua, though, which doesn't have the same problem.
Eh, I wouldn't say it gets better at all (don't come for me peeps 😂). The show acts way smarter than it is:…
I don't think I've ever seen a show rated 8.7 before, so something about it seems to be working. Gay panic is OK because it's a thing, but it needs to progress - it can be a starting point of a person on the path to self-acceptance, but usually it's just a static phenomenon until it ends like a light switch being flipped and the character is ready to dance naked on a float in a Pride parade.
That was something that threw me off too (not enough to make me drop it, but I was pretty disappointed), so I…
The product placements were what they should be - just things that are in the scene - it doesn't grind the show to a halt so that the characters can comment on how chemically sweetened tea in a plastic bottle is so refreshing in the middle of a funeral.
So how was it?I am not watching it today but I want spoilers
If you love this show, you'll like it, if you think the writing and chemisry are weak, then you'll be confirmed in your opinion and probably fall asleep. It basically introduces a whole new plot about Jimmy's acting career and how he's not allowed to date. It makes no sense and had nothing to do with the theme. At the end, Talay dies, and in grief, Jimmy kills himself. I'm just kidding, There are 14 happy endings. It's basically 45 minutes of snack commercials, sappy lines, and Talay acting like Puen is a pervert for wanting to kiss him on the cheek. But if fluff is your thing, you may like it.

I've notticed the product placement has been very subtle. Ep 4 put me off - but I'll try Ep 5 tomorrow. I don't mind some push and pull, it's just the repetitiveness of it. We're past the point where Akk should be that discombobulated and I'd like to see him respond with more wit.
The Joy to the world playing had me go like " wtf" Like who in the world chose that instrumental for this drama.…
I guess for a Thai music editor, it's free music he can just download, and doesn't have the associations it has for a Westerner. But it is certainly jarring.
It's hard to tell because Title is 22, but I'd say 16-17 and 19-20. But she said he's in 9th grade, which would…
I feel like that has to be a mistranslation and they meant he's a junior in high school rather than in junior high school. Tha would make him 16 or 17 instead of 14. Also, all the character act much older than 14 (except for Eiw).
I quit in Ep 4 because of the stupidest accidental kiss I've ever seen in Part 1, but everyone told me it got better and I should give it a chance, and then in Part 4 they did the ridiculous pull him out of the the way of traffic and stare at each other for 10 minutes. Is there any more of that?
I really like the characters and the acting, but the story is boring and formulaic. Does it later stray from the formula? Because I've already seen this story 100 times. The acting is much better, but I can watch the cast in other things. All we seem to get is an endless loop of some accidental intimate situation imposed, followed by staring, Ayan saying somehing like "are you in love with me?" and Akk shoving him away with somehing like "No..." Kind of boring.
Wow, this series bumped up a lot in my estimation this week. Besides the excellent writing (which didn't feel static and repetiive at all, unlike most of the previous eps), Santa was jus amazing in this. I found myself much more moved by him than Earth, who is fine, but his default setting is "crying", so it doesn't really get to me very much anymore. Santa's acting was subtle and he could move quickly through a wide range of emotions - he's a real natural. And so beautiful - that boy's features are perfect. He's going to be lethal at when he's 25.
The writing was perfect - just the right amount of emotional without getting maudlin or melodramatic - if every ep were like this I'd give it a 10.
Well, a 9, because they keep ruining important scenes by playing Christmas carols. Maybe it wouldn't have the same impact on a Thai, but it yanks me out of the story when Joy to the World is playing in the background of an emotional moment.
Does anyone know what is the actual age difference between Hom and Peak?
It's hard to tell because Title is 22, but I'd say 16-17 and 19-20. But she said he's in 9th grade, which would make him 14-15, which doesn't make sense - even the most early-blossoming boy isn't going to look like that at 14. So I don't know.
Almost nobody has just said it's terrible and unwatchable - almost everyone gives reasons, which is what this…
I agree with you. I have seen a few that are as you described - fortunately most are not. Criticism and even praise are not very useful without explaining why you like or dislike something.
He's not a stranger, though, he's Phayu's friend. If the guy had approached him alone on the street, then yes,…
Yes, that's of course right. But I'm kind of grateful they didn't belabor this into a tiresome sequence of minor communications to lead to the plot getting started. It's lazy writing, but that's Mame.

And to be fair, Akk did stop Ayan from fastening his seatbelt for him.
