One thing for me is, why in bls do people almost ALWAYS come to the US when they're moving overseas? Is this where…
Because if they only move to Singapore they're in the same time zone and a 1.5 hour flight away and could visit every week or two. Even Japan is pretty close. The USA or UK makes it impossible to maintain a normal friendship, at least at that age.

How great the USA is depends a lot on where in the USA you are. If I were Thai and ended up in Fargo my chances for happiness would be fairly limited. Heck if I were from Fargo and ended up in Fargo my chances for happiness would be fairly limited. New York & California are pretty great, with huge Asian populations and cuisine available.

When your best friend moves during childhood, it's rather devastating. Add in that Eiw loves Cake, and I think…
It won't be as easy as it is today - can you imagine if you could only communicate with old-school IM and texting using only a number pad? Remember the days when you had to hit "2" three times to type a "c" and there wasn't predictive autofill and what a pain dial-up connections were?

I think Cake is every bit as love with an dependent on Eiw as the other way around. They're actually kind of co-dependent.

I am assuming it would be natural for his character to grow when he is forced to be separated from the one he's…
I think what he means is that it would be nice if being weak and dependent weren't Eiw's ONLY personality trait. Maybe he could have been a musician or really good at cooking - he is literally useless, and if a weaker actor were playing him he'd be unbearable.

I’ve been a huge fan of Santa Earth for a long time but never got the opportunity to start this. So now that…
If you're a fan of Santa & Earth, it's definitely worth it, because the acting is great - but just be prepared for some frustration with how long the story takes to get anywhere - it's very repetitive. If you're the binging type, I would wait a couple of weeks before starting.

My Main concern about this is that the chemistry isn't good enough to balance the messy story. Jimmy and Sea are…
Yes, I hink that is probably the central issue. But they're probably interconnected. The best performances are when people inhabit their characters - but what character can Sea inhabit? What are Talay's personality characteristics? The way he's written is so all over the place that I'm not sure anyone could do anything with it.

It's clear the writer can't free themself from the seme-uke model, but we're also not seeing those characteristics. Talay only really acts like an uke in that he acts like sex is disgusting and perverted, and that he doesn't have a personality, which is common in ukes written by fanfic writers.

What does Talay have to tell Pakron? They didn't switch bodies! And Puen fulfilled all that Pakron ever wanted…
Pakorn is nobody - his position is dependent on Talay (as Tess) whose father's company is making the film. He won't know how to maneuver through that without Talay's help and connecting him to where he needs to. He doesn't know who Tess's friends are or how they fit into things or how to interact with them, etc.

You're missing the point entirely. The point is that the writing is lazy and doesn't have people behave in ways that people behave. Talay isn't a selfish person, so he wouldn't just say "bye now - good luck dealing with all the stuff you don't know!" I don't understand how it's possible for you to miss my point, but you seem much more interested in being outraged than you are in discussion. You do realize that you can't be rude to someone who doesn't exist, right? And yet you don't seem to mind being rude to real people.

Puen stopped contacting/interacting with Talay's body because Tess suddenly made a mess that made things difficult…
He did, though. Puen was standing just 30 feet away from Talay totally alone and Talay didn't say anything. It made zero sense. He could just go to Puen's instagram and post "It's me, Talay. I'm back. Call me." Even if Puen didn't notice, he'd notice the thousands of people asking "WHO IS TALAY". This is lazy writing.

I feel like all logic goes out the window when the writers are writing the script. Nothing in this show make sense.…
I don't think either of them are bad actors - but Sea is handicapped by having to play a badly drawn character - so while he may be acting specific moments well, it doesn't add up to great performance because there's no consisency to his character, which is not at all his fault. Jimmy's character doesn't seem to do anything but give us cheesy lines, but he's also good at specific moments, and I think he had a lot of presence in Bad Buddy. Especially for a rookie actor, the guidance of the director is imporant in drawing out a top performance, and this is clearly not the most dynamic director.

But he wasn't around fans at first - he wasted five minutes fantasizing about hugging him while he was standing right there. That's an example of bad writing. It would have made sense for the reason you mentioned if the fans had come immediately - but instead they did the fantasy.

I feel like Jimmy and Sea got a little screwed. I can't tell if they're good actors or not because they don't really have characters to get into. Talay was about o jump into the sea and swim to the island at night, but then he wouldn't just say "Hey, Puen, it's me!" when he was standing a few feet away and somehow didn't notice him standing there in a bright yellow shirt. I suppose Puen could be color blind, in which case Talay would appear as a tall gorgeous man in a bright yellow shirt standing on grey grass.

I guess it's less effort to jump into the sea and swim to an island at night than it is to just say his name when he's 30 feet away and somehow didn't see him, because who would notice a 6' tall gorgeous man that you're in love with wearing a bright yellow shirt?

But now they're back in their own bodies. Why would Talay be willing to jump into the sea at night to get to Puen but then not even call his name when he's 10 meters away? It made no sense.

Hardly at all - just at the very beginning and then again at the end. There isn't really much of a plot, so if you have some allergy to them you could probably skip them.

Even I felt kinda bad going to #BookExpoThailand2022 and seeing only one couple trending instead of two. But sadly…
I don't think the actors really had much chance given how bad the writing is. It's hard for them to have chemistry when they don't really even have established characters. What is a defining trait of Talay? What about Puen? I'd have a hard time describing even Neo's character. To use your analogy, I think seeds were planted in deser gravel - in fertile soil they could have grown into lovely trees.

The setup of a story can be weird, even silly, and it's fine - we can accept the premise, no matter how outrageous, if there are rules and they stick to it. But people have to act like people.

Would and entire film crew just stand around talking while someone is drowning in a pool? And if he drowned to the point that he was being rushed to the hospital in an ambulence, would he have that much energy all of a sudden? You know how your voice is after you swallow a drop or two of water the wrong way? Try drowning and see how you are after that. That other actor just punched him in the face and nearly killed him but had no reaction at all. Nobody is acting like a real person would.

Talay just abandoned Pakorn without preparing him for what he'll face nor did he do anything to help the boys deal with Tess when he returns, which could upend their lives. So are we supposed to like Talay even though he's thoughtless and selfish? We just saw Puen and Talay sitting together - when did Puen write his name really big in the sand?

The tide isn't low enough to get to that island 100 meters away and might not be for a month? That didn't make sense. It just goes on and on. All that is just from the first 10 minutes.

What is Talay's character? Can you sum up his personality in a sentence? He's just a plot device, who has thing happen to him with little agency.

These productions have great film crews, and there is a lot about them that are really good, but the writing almost always lets them down. I know a lot of people care more about the actors than all that, but you can have both - good writing isn't expensive. Wouldn't it be nice to have a series where the story is gripping, rather than just waiting around for cute moments between characters?

Credit where due: The wardrobe in this is spectacular. Often it's OOT, but this is so stylish and flattering to all the characters.

I really feel like you're too hard on Eiw as a character? There are a lot of people in the comments (myself included)…
I don't see how it can be the point that Eiw is weak and fragile, bad at everyting, and has no interests. Everyone has interests and everyone is good at something.

I'm extremely introverted and unathletic, but I can play the piano and I'm a huge history and geography buff - and yet I still had bandwidth to be obsessed with my Cake. And my Cake and my best friend were two different people so I had to split my attentions. AND I had a girlfriend.

My problem with the character is what seems to me to be an equasion of effeminacy with weakness and lack of agency. Compare him to Seng in Secret Crush On You where Toh managed to be effeminate without being weak or lacking in any ability to do anything. There's no reason why Cake couldn't be a character with depth. Earth could easily handle it.

And you please stop with the "if you don't like it why don't you stop watching" routine? First of all, you seem to think that any criticism is somehow relentlessly negative even when I mention and have mentioned several times all the things I really like about this series, and in any case, if I only watched what I thought had no flaws, I'd only have stuck with ITSAY and 180 Degree. I do appreciate getting your perspective, but I don't have to like everything about a series to be qualified to watch it.

I kind of agree. Something about Sieew just feels fake to me. There's times it doesn't, but there's a lot of times…
I hope so too. If his character just had one passion or one thing he was good at (other than whining), it would balance his character - but he's totally useless and is interested in nothing but Cake. Even Sand was just a Cake substitute.

Like Fluke in My Sunshine Night is good at... eating apples, I guess? He's also good at clutching his chest and passing out.
