I've grown resigned to tropes, but it's Ep 9. The series is nearly over and we're still doing trip/catch and intrusive fujoshi.

I do like it when tropes are played with a little, like in Hidden Love where they keep screwing with seme/uke.

Even here in this ep it was a little funny that she imitated the trope with a fake fall/catch.

To me that seems really young - I was still an idiot at that age when it comes to romance. If Newyear is 26 and has been in a relationship for 8 years it's likely he's only been in one relationship, so I'm not sure I want his advice.

Anyway, if they needed to be in this, they should have been given a storyline. Otherwise, they're just viewer-bait playing themselves.

I call it cute boys being cute to each other (and nothing else). Any displays of male sexuality are unwelcome. It's a well-known fact, after all, that high school and college-age boys have no interest in sex and only want cuddling and awkwardly long eye-contact after they trip and fall and end up with their faces too close together. Kisses are occassionlly acceptable if they're just the barest touch, preferably accidental.

I was enjoying this until Ep 3 - which was entirely with a psyhotic fujoshi and her plan to use the old BL standard for determining if someone likes you - after all, why just ask when you can use an innocent woman to make him jealous?

That was pretty good. I like it thta for once someone called someone on what a dick move the silent treatment is. The plot moved forward too, and we didn't have to much focus on extraneous characters. I really find the kid who's into the copy guy creepy - his smarmy come-ons and major invasions of personal space.

I'm a little irritated Aek went swimming and we saw nothing. Just a teaser with the back of his distinctly v-shaped torso.

You realize that most people won't detect any sarcasm in your review, right? I stopped trying because everyone takes me literally, no matter how obvious or outrageous. I really laughed at seeing ghosts on the walls.

The second ep was an improvement - the plot doesn't look very original, but it look like this will be light and comical, and it did a good job of that. Plus, apparently Migo's contract requires him to take off his shirt several times an episode, so I'm in.

It had a lot of great ingredients, but as you said, about half way through it just stopped working for me.

Maybe you're right, but so far I've never seen a man that looks good with his hair up. Keam had no appeal to me until this ep.

I couldn't get through the first scene. First, in the prologue, we started with being lectured on what true love is, and then a reward was given - a grown man doesn't want 8 chaste pecks unless they end in a blowjob.

But that I could get over. The opening scene pictured the same stereotypical trans character we see in every low-quality creativity-free BL. Not only that, but her characteristic loud screeching was accompanied by sound distortion, meaning we have another production that's incompetent technically.

This is awful, and this company should stop making BLs.

OK, now I'm less excited after seeing the trailer. It looks like a main thread will be a woman trying to break them up. Yawn.

I don't know why he's even in this. I think they know he and Turbo have a following and are cynically trying to attract viewers by including them (it worked on me). Same reason they put New Year & Both in Top Secrey Together - they serve no other purpose.

And hopefully were just keeping him warm before having him star in all future BLs.

You have to squint pretty hard to see 3 Will Be Free as a BL. That there was a serious trans character with agency more or less rules it out.

I kn ow you were joking - I was commenting on the eternal love that 17-year olds always find in BLs.

I definitely noticed it in Why Love Why, Happenstance, Stranger's Kiss, Padayon (how could I not in Padayon? They sledgehammered us with their political themes), and the rest.

This show seems to follow the Thai model.

He was the guy who brought Jin his equipment. His hair was short with no Korean schoolboy bangs so he looked really different.

He's a non-villain BL character, so he will only love one person in his entire life.
