Feel like applauding how they have paced this romance. Often in a 16 episode drama by the 10 mark the love line can start to grow stale, but here the build up has been great and I feel we're just getting to the exciting part. Any conflict that comes later will feel natural because they have built in Chi Yeol's issues with intimacy, the husband in the Philippines (๐ ), the murder mystery which affects both of our leads, and the private tutoring which is going to blow up in their faces soon. At the halfway mark I feel we have plenty of material left to work with...loving this!
the more we get into this the less out of place the murder mystery feels. They've set up such a competitive, corrupt…
I agree! I think setting it up from the start helped a lot to make it feel a part of the show instead of a side plot coming out of nowhere. It's not there just for the sake of it.
They didn't have to add in the rumor about Haeng Seon being "married" but they just had to make Chi Yeol even more tortured about his feelings ๐ The poor guy. I will almost feel bad for eating it up. Almost! Next weekend is going to be fun
Actually Seon Jae grew on me this episode. Honestly I can understand his jealousy...even from a best friend POV, it's hard feeling neglected when someone else comes into the picture. I like that he recognized his jealousy on his own and was about to text back. That's pretty mature for a kid. And his home life really sucks too.
Weโre only on episode 4 and people are already complaining thereโs not enough romance? 4 episodes! Out of…
Agreed. If we had the over-the-top romantic cliches here especially at this point in the drama, I would be rolling my eyes. Especially for a more adult couple, we really don't need the romantic kpop song plays while they trip into each other's arms scenarios. It seems like they have left that to the kids for now and I'm glad for that lol.
I think the biggest problem I'm having with this drama is it was advertised as a romcom when it's much more academia…
I do understand your point and feelings. However most romcoms still have an exterior plot and aren't just purely non-stop romantic fluff. This is a 16 episode drama; it really can't be all romance all the time especially this early in the show. The romance has hardly started yet so let us hope more romcom goodness will come! :)
Kdrama writers just cant write romcom/slice of life plot without adding creepy plot.... It is what it is.
Seems people have confirmation bias about it (if they see it in one drama, they claim every drama has had it). Sure it has been a trend lately in a few dramas but there still have been plenty of romcom/slice of life recently that haven't featured a murder mystery or anything. (A Business Proposal, Twenty Five Twenty One, Our Beloved Summer, My Liberation Notes, Our Blues, Gaus Electronics, Soundtrack #1...many more) Personally I don't mind it so long as it fits in with the story and is interesting.
Lol so Haeng Son (FL) isn't actually married. It was just a rumor Young Joo started so people wouldn't annoy her about being a single mom ๐ I love these best friends!
First ep got better as it went along ๐ Long setup but it should improve once we get more interactions with our leads. At least I think we won't be having a murder mystery like some people thought from the trailer.
Thatโs my problem with cdramas. They stretch the episodes.
I don't mind long dramas for more action-based plots, even if there is some filler, I can deal with it. For slice-of-life 40 episodes is pretty long though. Might cross a line from being "peaceful" to "putting me to sleep" ๐ I'll see though, maybe I'm wrong!
This drama is lovelyโlove the beautiful scenery and the characters! I like slow paced slice of life dramas, however I'm not sure I can keep the momentum for 40 episodes. But for now it is a pleasant watch.
Only thing that bothers me is the soundtrack. Especially when they go for comedic scenes, the soundtrack gets really loud and takes over the scene. Sometimes the songs they play distract me from paying attention to what some people are saying. And they will play the same song like 3 times in one episode ๐
I like the songs themselves it is just a bit of overkill. Still enjoying it though ๐
I think everybody is overreacting at this point, we don't have all the facts. Also - anybody who has watched S1…
Yes, if Bu Yeon is indeed still around and has a master plan, I highly doubt it was just so she could end up settled down and married. So it makes no sense for it to end with a Uk and Bu Yeon romance. We haven't learned enough about Bu Yeon to guess what her plan might be, which is frustrating...
Maybe it is just a matter of wording but he says, "Once Jin Bu-yeon regains her divine powers, Naksu will also…
Yes I know it is Bu Yeon's body. I just wanted to clarify that Bu Yeon's soul was gone for good...because of the way he worded it. I guess I do not get why it would only be bad if the powers are back before the memories, especially when she already seems to be getting them both back at the same time
Would you say this is a natural tan?
