There is no longer any Jin Bu-yeon though. Right? The way they are speaking about it, sounds like it is still Bu Yeon and Naksu coexisting in the body. I was under the impression it was only Naksu there, but having some of Bu Yeon's powers due to her body.

I am confused about Master Lee's clarification and the Bu Yeon vs. Naksu thing. Will put spoiler below...someone help?

I fully agree with you, 'lopsided' is the way to describe it.

I always thought it might have worked better to just split up evenly, part 1 with 15 and part 2 with 15. There is stuff they could have cut out of part 1 easily.

What would Naksu be doing if Jang Uk had said, "Okay. I saved you. But I'm not interested in you." and was firm on that? That is my problem here...

Aside from hoping Jang Uk will pay attention to her they have given her nothing to do. She spent so much time wanting to be free but has no interest in doing much now that she is in the world?

It doesn't even have to be a big plot, but I would be satisfied to see her going out and doing her own thing and talking to people enjoying her freedom. Knowing she is not just waiting up for Uk at every opportunity. I am enjoying their dynamic but I hate that she only seems to care about him.

They use CP as comic relief so it is harder to take him seriously hence we like him 😅 The writers have pushed the idea of him being a good person despite his faults but have not done the same for So-yi. For her it's been more on audience to infer her intentions.

I agree with you though. I actually still like her and feel bad for her.

They are certainly going for the reincarnation story...the two falling in love no matter the circumstances. Master Lee knows that the two will be connected no matter what.

I wonder now if we won't get any one big moment where Naksu gains back her memories.
I can't tell if Uk already suspects something or not. This is not how I expected it to go but it is very interesting!

Part 2 so far is exactly what I hoped: the Alchemy of Souls I know but with a twist. Many will not like the changes made or get used to a new actress, that is fine. For me what I wanted after watching 20 episodes was something different so I wouldn't get bored. This episode has renewed my excitement and has me wanting more which is what a long show like this needs 😁

I remember we were all worried they would drag things out too much and keep Naksu/BY and Uk separated for too many episodes. Relieved they already had their reunion so early! Got the ball rolling.

You speak as if they called her in as a desperate last minute just because Jung So Min wasn't free...give her some credit. This casting was planned from the start and Go Yoon Jung was chosen because she was deemed talented and a fit for the role :)
