I been thinking: GC made a sacrifice in the final, so her family (and her) would not end up suffering, their reputation…
I don't feel it was useless since it contributed to her character development. She of course wasn't going to have a happily ever after at episode 10. Sometimes characters make a sacrifice but it doesn't go their way...That is the nature of a good tragic story.
It will be heartbreaking to see what happened to her family though, I agree, I can't imagine what they're going through!
Does anyone know why is Ryang Eum listed as a supporting character instead of a main character now? The actor Kim Yoon Woo is included on the poster with all the other mains and was a main character for Part 1.
They are still shooting. A fan page uploaded a picture of the snacks truck on the set stating that everyone is…
Wow. I hope they wrap sooner rather than later. I'm worried post-production will be rushed...I would love for the editing in Part 2 to be an improvement from Part 1!
In the last scene, we have jumped 2 years post-breakup. Main guy is interfering with the prisoner hunters unlike…
I noticed the same thing and even made a comment regarding it, somewhere down below π I'm not sure if it could really be her...But maybe? It is also possible it is just someone who reminds him of her. But I definitely noticed the similarity too, you're not alone!
Not just you. I agree about the pacing...I like slow dramas but this one plodded along to a point where I was…
You're welcome, I understand. MDL comment sections can definitely have a group mentality and be defensive to differing opinions. Believe me you are not the only one who feels the show is monotonous. I have talked to several people who say the slow whispered conversations drove them crazy π
Agreed, I like the actress, but the performance feels out of place in what I hoped would be a serious drama.
Is it just me, I haven't watched a drama so ploddy. Everything is so drawn out, slow and soppy. The tempo is the…
Not just you. I agree about the pacing...I like slow dramas but this one plodded along to a point where I was bored for many of the episodes. The pacing does pick up near the end but it takes a long time. I also did not care for Gong Zi Shang character's brand of comedy here and was disappointed she didn't get to do more.
Even if I pretended it ended when he was in the boat looking ahead (miserable ending for both) or after the 2…
It is a good spot for a cliffhanger to be sure since you can imagine where they go from here. If you can resist watching Part 2 you could always pretend this is the ending if you prefer :D
For me I want more of the story even if it all ends in tragedy!
Amazing review...Agreed with so many of your points, especially your discussion of the female characters. This was very disappointing to me and I am surprised to see no one else bring it up as an issue.
Can I ask what your trust issues are for? Is it because of sad endings? If so you could wait until this one finishes…
Oh ok, I see. There are definitely politics in this drama but it has a nice pace and good romance too. It may not be to your taste due to the political element. But you could always give it a try :)
I have trust issues with historical kdrama. Should I really watch this drama. Namkoong Min is one of my favourite.…
Can I ask what your trust issues are for? Is it because of sad endings? If so you could wait until this one finishes and see. There is a big chance the ending will be tragic. But it is a really fantastic drama!
It will be heartbreaking to see what happened to her family though, I agree, I can't imagine what they're going through!

Only 2 weeks to go!
