omg yes I saw her on Happy Life too!!! Loved the part where ZLY and XieNa were all like "Big Brother! Second Brother!" to each other gosh that was so extra and dramatic LOL

I haven't seen 72 Floors of Mystery yet though, but I think I'll just watch ZLY's parts for that show or would it be confusing to do that?

to follow up what @Sophia said, XC does consider his own country first. but if you saw yesterday's episodes, you will see that XC made an effort to have someone find CQ and take her out of Xian Yang City. In the books, he ends up helping her a lot and they're like best friends. Idk if the drama will continue with that though but I hope so!

yeah majority of cdramas do, but sometimes the station that the drama is airing on could change it to fit their airing schedule or smth

I really like seeing ZLY on Happy Camp!! ZLY is really good friends with Xie Na and He Jiong (two of the hosts of Happy Camp). Her parts are limited since there's always quite a few guests but she's super cute.
I watched season one of this one reality show called Up Idol (偶像来了) that she was in. It shows 10 female celebrities and they do stuff together. I watched it for ZLY but I ended up loving everyone on the show. This is also the show where she got closer to He Jiong and Xie Na from Happy Camp. As for Lin Gengxin...omg I read in a lot of Weibo comments that his actual self is very humorous and not really like YWY at all haha some people even said that they couldn't believe he was portraying YWY and that they just kept thinking of his joking/humorous side whenever they saw him being serious as YWY :D

There's like this freezing lake scene where YWY "dies"...but later we find out that he's not actually dead (phew)
there might be a sequel only because it really feels like they didn't finish filming all the books....or we will be surprised!! Perhaps they did get to the ending of the book series but cut out a bunch of stuff that happened in the middle..who knows XD

Technically YX didn't order the rape, because he passed out right after he ordered that Yuan Chun and Yuan Song be sent back to Chang'An. However, the people that were taking them back, were all people whose families were all killed by Wei Emperor/generals, and they inferred that YX wanted them dead, or else why else would YX send these guys to take them back. It's kind of hard to explain in English

um so Yuwen Huai did not die this early in the books....like he was literally alive towards the end of the novel?!?!?!?! LOLOL although I can't remember when towards the end he died...but he was definitely alive when CQ followed Yuwen Yue back to his home country (they have different country names in the novel) but damn really interesting change from the novel

also are we even going to get to the part with CQ helping XC and his country affairs and whatnot sigh

I think they won't explain this until towards the end. In the books, the 8th sister appeared towards the end and explained what happened to her in flashbacks I think?

YX does not die, he is victorious in his revenges, but he does end up completely alone. I think A'Jing is like literally the only friend YX has at the end. YX won his land and country but sad dude lol.
As for Chun'er, that's what I remember/read on Baidu/Weibo (so I could be wrong lol)

I really like how this drama invokes so much discussion in the comments!! like seriously, yall are writing paragraphs and paragraphs of stuff (definitely stuff that is fun to read and discuss though) does this much discussion happen for a lot of other cdramas?? (I don't really watch kdramas often) I've only seen like 3 dramas while they aired so I have no clue.

I think she had a reason for doing so in the book with her crappy logic...except I don't really know haha since I only skimmed briefly because I really wanted to know the ending of the book and not really the details (hehe oops)

but I think I ended up disliking YX more tbh lol like I could understand him...but I also hated him ahhahhaa

I know she later becomes a prostitute to get revenge on people. And she marries a different duke/prince and has a kid. and she also teams up with YX (I think) to help him take down CQ/YWY towards the very end. I'm kind of fuzzy on the details but it goes smth like that I think (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

so I saw the teaser for tomorrow about what happens to Chun'er...and I cried :(((
even though I know that this is what happened in the books too....but ahhh I still cried

He later turns out to be her closest friend and actually goes out of his way to save her. But at the initial friendship stage, he is still out for himself to protect himself first. But later on he changes. (at least in the books)
