I'm sure they probably had other reasons for postponing the movie, but they probably just used this reason as like a fun reason to cover the other technical/professional/business reasons. Chinese dramas/movie air dates literally change ALL the time too haha

um I think you have it backwards. The one that's at episode 40 is the TV version and the uncut/non-TV version is at 37 episodes. And nope you won't be able to see the ending before some people will...Hunan TV will not allow that to happen LOL

omg I loved Under the Hawthorn Tree!!! It made me cry so much :(( funny thing is I actually completed watching Under the Hawthorn Tree just a few days before I began watching Princess Agents hahahahaha
and I'm gonna add My Old Classmate onto my plan-to-watch list haha

oh I made a discussion thread a couple days ago that explains the episode count haha. basically The TV version (先行版) has a total of 68 episodes, and the non-TV/uncut version (未删减版) has a total of 58 episodes. When they say cut and uncut, it does not mean that they actually cut out material from the episodes. They mean that they are cut differently for the airtime on TV. Hunan TV uses the TV-version, so they air "more" episodes which will thus mean that it airs till early August.

Princess Agents official weibo posted an airing schedule a couple days ago and I'm like pretty sure this drama ends by the end of the first week of August, so it's actually more than 2 weeks (if you count the upcoming week as well). Perhaps there's still hope hahaha

I wish whoever is translating this book would continue translating it for everyone to read. Sadly, the translator seems to have stopped translating it for now :((

YX starts to change more and more, so much that he ends up using Xing'er to trick YWY into coming to Yan Bei to fight him (or smth like that) and YWY obvs falls for this ploy (or he probably knew it was a trap but since it involved Xing'er he couldn't risk not coming). During this part, Xing'er realizes completely that YX has changed and has used her. Sadly during this battle, Xing'er and YWY both fall into some sort of freezing lake thing but YWY pushes her out and he slowly "dies" in the lake. But later on, we find out that YWY has not actually died!!! So nope, neither YWY or CQ die at the end but YWY did kinda "die" in the middle of the story LOL

I'm like 99% sure the one with the kid happens before the lake because I think that kid is the actor for Ouyang Mo, a kid that Xing'er and YWY save after that poor kid's entire village/family is killed by YX's people.

As for the rest, I think it happens before the lake?? Eh I can't remember/match the scenes just yet but I've read most of volume 3 and very very roughly skimmed volumes 1 and 2 and none of those scenes are in volume 3....so I feel that those happen before the lake LOL but I could be wrong and yes @Linh I'll tell you what happens after the lake if the drama doesn't get to it! just pm me or smth to remind me haha

HAHHHA that's exactly where I thought they're going to end it.....which sucks because I loooveeeee everything after that part so much :((

ZLY has that terrifically long drama for Legend of Concubine's Daughter Minglan that is rumored to start filming in August and she's currently filming Our Glamourous Times. Hopefully there's no season 2 tbh but there's just so much of the story that we haven't covered yet!!!

I will just wait and see....and if they really stop on that part.....I will just use the novel to comfort myself XD

I saw on Weibo that they're even selling toy versions of the bird where they repeat back what you say to it. Zhao Liying actually has one of those toy birds too!! XD

YX is totally going to screw up his wedding with Chun'er in the upcoming episodes...I feel very sad for her since I kinda like her now :((

a lot of dramas have dubbing because China has a huge amount of different dialects, plus there are actors from Hong Kong and Taiwan who pronounce Chinese differently so they often dub it to make the language the standard pronounciation.

As for this drama itself, I didn't put it on my watchlist because I've only seen a couple episodes on the TV while I was in China, but my cousin said that the drama is based on a novel and the novel's ending ain't so great. The majority of the drama is enjoyable; the ending is not. That's also what I got from reading Weibo comments as well :((

omg but I really enjoyed the last 10 or so episodes of Journey of Flower LOL I thought those were the best episodes of the entire drama.....so I'm looking towards the end for this drama to be good too haha hopefully
but I mean there's still a little less than 1/3 of the drama left to go....soooooo basically I have no clue LOL

I like how you mention she should free herself and live her own life.....which honestly takes a long time for her to do, because she feels that she always needs to help others before she helps herself. I remember one part in the books when she and Li Ce (Xiao Ce) we're talking and he tells her to stop helping everyone and think about a life for herself....but that's a long ways down the road LOL

I really hope they filmed that part where she breaks it off with YX because I just love that very long rant/speech she says to him right before she turns her back on him and leaves on her horse to find YWY haha

she literally has an entire arc with YX in the books, but later on she realizes that YWY is the one that's always saved/cared for her and that YX has changed so much and that YX kept using her and being defensive against her. But it takes a whole lot of patience. Because in the books, it wasn't very obvious that YWY was the male lead (but for this drama they made it VERY prominent who was the male lead) since in the books I actually thought YX was the male lead for a long time LOL sooooo in conclusion it will probs take a while but the journey is worth experiencing XD (and at least in the books, YWY and CQ are endgame)

no clue tbh but let's just hope and wait and see! :D
