I remember seeing ZLY say smth about how they didn't finish filming all the books; she was actually quite disappointed by it. I think it's one of the interviews where she's wearing a red dress/outfit.....crap I've seen way too many videos and interviews on various websites/platforms so I can't remember exactly where :(( also if you browse through Weibo, you can see the comments/rumors of the whole Angelababy/season 2 thing circulating; but again they are just rumors! no confirmation haha
@darcy, as for the book, I'm skimming through it right now and I think it's pretty good. The writing style is quite nice and if you search on Baidu “11处特工皇妃 好看吗" you can find responses that say the book is very good and well written and that it's a 巅峰之作 so I'd say the book is worth giving a shot. I definitely plan on reading it in detail after I finish watching the drama; as for now I'm just skimming because I enjoy spoilers and am impatient XD There's also a manhwa version that just started uploading drawings, so I plan on checking that out too.

OH MY GOD YEAH I HEARD I really hope that won't happen because personally I find Angelababy's acting skills quite lacking....but also Zhao Liying is the only Chu Qiao in my heart <33 but they haven't confirmed there will be a season 2 yet right???

I have a love-hate relationship with YX in the novel because of how he later changes and how much he disappoints CQ later on
but the new guy from Prince of Southern Liang is nice throughout the novel; he's one of my favorite characters! and he stays friends with CQ until the end
less than 24 hours till the new episodes!! the weekend waiting is always extremely excruciating for me LOL
oh my I totally forgot about those details!!! Yeah I can't seem to match her very well with what I've skimmed of the novel and I do believe the writers made some changes. I'm really curious about her character tbh, there's just so many things yet to be revealed!!

I can't really remember so I had to do a quick search on Baidu. But basically Chun'er has a sad life. She is used by quite a few people, she later escapes her arranged marriage to someone (can't rememb er) and ends up becoming kind of like a prostitute so she can use her beauty to make men do her bidding and get her revenge against the men that used her. She later becomes the consort of another duke or king and has a son but some stuff happens and her husband dies. and then she very much later teams up with YX to get rid of CQ and YWY.. yeah that's pretty much it she is no longer the innocent/ignorant princess she once was.
As for her 8th sister, I think she somehow survived, changed her name and ended up following Yuan Song in the novel until the end...don't remember too much of 8th sister tbh I've only skimmed the novel but I plan on reading it in detail after I finish the drama :D

I remember something about him losing one of his arms in a fight with Yan Xun. He also for some reason slowly falls out of favor and slowly isn't as powerful or as glorious before.
And even after CQ leaves YX and goes back to YWY, Yuan Song is still a friend to CQ. There's like even one part where Yuan Song actually helps CQ too towards the end. But yeah, his character was quite pitiful I felt bad for him.
Deng Lun plays him really well; I'm super happy about it XD
