Thank you so much for the recs. I've watched some of these, and the others sound interesting as well. Added Angry Rice Wives and Fagara to my ever-expanding ptw :p
Thanks for compiling this, @Ceki, and happy new year to you! I must admit that some of the marriage news really made me happy, especially the "surprising" ones (you never knew that they dated and bam, marriage). That during this tough time people are still hopeful enough to decide to share their life with a loved one, it's just something that I find amazing.
Quite a lot to digest I'm glad I took my time reading it. His works--at least those that I've watched--are indeed very charming. I'm looking forward to watch the rest of his movies. Thank you so much for writing this, Ebisuno and Joe Shiren! :)
I mean Asaba amazing, and I love his interaction with Kiki, they look like inspiring, challenging each other,…
Honestly? My shipper heart wants her with Makoto, but my brain tells me that Kiki and Asaba might make better partners in the long run because, like @kawaigyeomie said, they push each other. Makoto is sweet and supportive, but a part of the problem is, he never really challenges Kiki to be a better person.
But I get what you're saying! At this point, Kiki reveres Asaba too much to be a truly equal partner for him. Like, if I write fanfics, I would probably not make them a couple until she got a little more older, experienced more, and became a more confident person :p
I want to watch this. Is it on Netflix or Viki? I want to watch this. Is it on Netflix or Viki?
It's fansubbed, which means it's not available on legal platform. You can download the subtitles from d-addicts' forum (see link posted on comments below) and the audio-video files from Nyaa.
If that sounds too much of a hassle, this drama is available on some pirate sites like dramacool. But if you do decide to watch it there, please be sure to install some good adblock because such sites are rife with malware.
one thing really irritated me, is around 35:50 min, where actor kim won hae carried the news paper, there was…
I have no actual legal knowledge about the subject, but in this particular case I really do think it's a case of "better safe than sorry" and not a case of ignorance. You know what, I wouldn't be surprised if they did have some sort of advertising arrangements with Dubai for this drama, but must cancel it because of COVID-19. The fake advert is pretty prominent after all.
here's what i keep coming back to: sooyeon did consider leaping out of that window, but she decided not to, signified…
I would love it if your theory is proven to be true and that there's something she knew that made someone want to kill her.
At this moment, though, I'm just going to temper my expectations and believe that she really did commit suicide. And that what Yoona's character said in the preview is more along the lines of "She didn't commit suicide; she was murdered by the system".

It's deliberate, I think. If they put "Dubai" on that paper, I guess they need to have an advertising contract with Dubai Tourism Authorities or something.
why do jdramas has such a low rating here on mdl :( this is really good show and it deserves higher rating
Basically what everyone has said. It's not just Jdrama watchers are fewer here on MDL, but I feel that in general we're just more objective in giving out ratings?
Based on my MDL friends who regularly watch Jdramas at least, I can't imagine any of them giving a drama a 10/10 rating just because someone they like is in that particular drama. (I'm generalizing here, of course, but that's just the impression I get.)
Overused lazy melodramatic cliche makes a NOT touching story.Except the acting there's nothing to save in the…
I liked the first episode and I'm cautiously optimistic about the drama, mainly because it's based on a novel, which means that they have a set "map" for the story and can't just change it based on viewers' reaction.
But not gonna lie, I was kinda disappointed with that "hidden connection" thing between Hwang Jung-min's and Yoona's characters. I feel that the story would be just as strong even if Yoona's character didn't have some personal grudge on HJM's character, even if her father didn't die because of a fake news.
