the way i see it, Tantai Jin and the devil god are two different entities, if he becomes the devil god it means…
It would be DG 2.0 with a merging of TTJ into DG. They would become one entity and in original timeline DG would be the domineering force but it's still distinctly different from original DG
DG tells TTJ that too in the earlier episodes that he will become one with DG
Problem is this is based on a novel so in the novel ttj is a complete psycho like in the mortal Arc there are…
But novel TTJ means TTJ is a hateable character, and if drama should've made TTJ more dislike-able, it's just a switching of positions. Instead of wrongs by LSS, it's wrongs by TTJ. Though I don't blame LSS for many of what others blame her for.
IMO, either TTJ is the justified one or LSS is the justified one. Here they made TTJ the justified one. I don't have a problem with that.
TTJ is in denial mode & he never receive any kindness from this world so it breaks my heart to see how little…
Yeah, she did think about that in one moment of happiness and exhilaration. We don't know how far those thoughts of her would last before she came to reality, and my argument is that she never could entertain that possibility. It was too dangerous. And actually she had chance before porridge. She never bothered to tell him after YBC love thread reveal. Instead she visited XL and told him to wait for her to come get him out and her plans shifted to that.
Anyway my point is just that it's good that she didn't go the 'let's see if he can change' method. Because it's a ticking time bomb where it doesn't matter. If he dies with that bone, it's over.
gong ye ji wu already existed as li susu’s senior in the “future” in ep 1. but it was revealed that pang…
In the original timeline, XL probably would've died some other way. TTJ most likely died at the frozen lake, because he was on the brink of death and YXW/LSS warmed him up and brought him back. It's safe to say real YXW wouldn't have done it. Even if he had survived, he would've died sometime afterwards because his mortal body was weak and malnourished and it was LSS which changed that. Even more so, the sect in Episode 1 tells LXX that she has to go back and find a man named TTJ, never the man who became emperor TTJ, etc.
So emperor TTJ is a change in timeline and so is XL dying as Sheng Prince fighting Jin Emperor TTJ. This changed his path of immortality and PYZ gave him immortality using other not-so-accepted-means.
All bad things are TTJ's mom's fault and then she's got the audacity to drop dead too. Even her dying was her…
I haven't seen the last two episodes, but DG's two henchmen had talked about how he made a deal with the tribe, which means it was already set in place before the 1st war 10,000 years ago, which was well before TTJ's mother's time. So whatever she accepted in her time was already agreed to well before her time.
TTJ is in denial mode & he never receive any kindness from this world so it breaks my heart to see how little…
I haven't watched the latest two episodes. But I agree with the jist of what you say. I am not sure if I would say she was sincere, I think at many points she was, but many times all she cared about was her mission. The thing is, I don't blame her for that. What is she supposed to do? I don't get it. If she didn't either kill him or later exchange the bone, it would've been a definite end of the world as they know it.
And I don't understand the idea that should've tried to change him instead of carrying out her mission. How? Everything is spelled out. He would've become DG. It is a tragic thing, and that is the basis of his character. And even if there were somehow a chance, why would you risk it and chance it?
Like you said, JZ told her their story was predestined to be a tragedy. No matter what she did, it would end up as one, so her best bet is to try to save the world.
And yeah, in the end, her actions are what saves TTJ. Betrayal, grief, etc, all that still led to inevitably TTJ's survival and better odds and chances of living life.
What do you mean ? Tantai Jin didn’t die 500 years ago
Not necessarily the gods reincarnate. Often times in stories it's specified that their death means they are finished, no spirit is left over for them to reincarnated. It depends on on various factors such as type of death, the rules of that world, and level of immortality.
hi friends, i have some questions, sorry if they’ve been answered before 🥺if ye xiwu was the one that took…
Can't answer the first question. I've wondered the same thing. I figured it is a matter of soul/essence, rather than physical.
The second. TTJ would've died on the frozen lake. So that timeline who lived 500 years was post mortal TTJ's death. There probably wouldn't have been emperor TTJ. DG-TTJ takes over at some point after his death at frozen lake, and that's the one who lives on.
The question of why she didn't question why TTJ didn't live on till now with the divine essence, I don't know. I guess when she heard about his death, she assumed he died after using up/weakening/defeating divine-essence. (Immortals, cultivators, etc can still die.) But this part still is off, because she should at least suspect maybe he faked his death, since he can't let on to the kingdom that he is immortal. So yeah....
LSS, even if TTJ were the nicest person ever with no power or issues, would have to do what she did. I don't blame…
Which is why I said even TTJ places the blame on the puppet-spell.
As for him doing what he did. To be honest, I'm not seeing it as such a huge wrong. He thought LSS planned to kill him. He reacted. Who says LSS wouldn't be disappointed if he stabbed XL himself? But even if that were the case, so what? In his mind, she did dirty work trying to lethally poison him by getting close to him. Did he force her by his side when she came back to him before this? No, she came herself. She kept getting close to him in order to betray him. So he will react accordingly and harshly.
What is LSS doing by betraying TTJ's trust? Even though she only wanted to drug him, she has no qualms or fear in doing it and takes advantage of his trust and feelings for her. (Yes, in the end she would have to betray him anyway.) But if that's okay, then no big deal how TTJ reacted as well.
And this is also the reason why LSS pretty much let go of TTJ hate when she found out YBC was behind the poisoning. (One thing I've never seen people mention is why LSS would think her brother would be fine with TTJ poisoning their grandmother, but I will chalk that up to her not thinking things through in her grief and shock.) LSS felt sorry for TTJ and acknowledged to JZ what a grave wrong she did to him and then said it's not fair what she was going to do to him next.
And as much as people want to blame YBC. It would've never happened had LSS not decided to drug TTJ to free XL.
Actually no one understands 😕 FL pov if i were in her position i also do the damn mission lmao, before the…
LSS, even if TTJ were the nicest person ever with no power or issues, would have to do what she did. I don't blame her. (Though she may be apologetic instead of hateful with the attempt with the spikes-stabbing.) The incident with XL what it did was remove her qualms and hesitancy in doing so, so she did it with hatred.
So I absolutely agree with you that FL should've done her mission.
However, TTJ did not kill XL. While yes, TTJ himself places the blame on his puppet spell, it was XL that made the decision to die in battle while freeing prisoners, and ending the war. XL had said much earlier that his death is what's needed to stop the war.
And going even further, it was LSS' actions that led to XL's death. Not once but twice she interfered in military affairs, directly abetting the enemy. Once when she told XL exactly when and how TTJ and troops set off, and two when she decided to free and flee with a prisoner.
So yes, while TTJ wouldn't have done the puppet spell if he hadn't found out it was a lethal poison, it was LSS' own decision that led to it.
In the end, though, all of it worked out, though of course not in a happy way. But XL got what he wanted, he got to free his soldiers held captive and died on the battlefield. It's what he actually realized would have to happen much earlier.
And in terms of how fate works, it led to YXY not hesitating and being soft and going straight for the kill, which of course failed--but was all foreseen and even perhaps planned by greater powers. This led to being able take out the bone...and leading to the events now, which again probably were foreseen and fated to happen.
She thought he hate her and prob didn’t think he spend rest of his life searching for her
I don't think so that she thinks he hates her. She knows damn well he loves her. It was clear from their conversation within the lightening strikes. She knows it, and what she was saying to him was to let her go, and that she is going to save him. She knows he will and was trying to stop her. It doesn't even matter that TTJ says he doesn't want her favor or her saving his life. She has to do it. There is no other choice.
Yes, she saw TTJ's choosing YBC and took that as her final acceptance, but she saw and was aware that he stopped TTML from killing her. It's not like she misunderstood that he was going to let her die. She saw that TTJ killed TTML before he hand a chance to follow through on his threat.
She never got to interact with TTJ after she found out that YBC poisoned the porridge. She told Ji Ze that it's very cruel and wrong to betray him this way, that even after he thought she tried to poison him he married her. While she was still in punishment after she came back to consciousness, her thoughts weren't about their love/hate, but all about what she owes him and what she has to do for saving the world.
I agree she never thought he would spend his life searching for her. But that's not because she thought he hates her. It's just she never thought further, not like she had time to think and dwell on it, either. And it's not like in their final exchange she would be thinking further ahead but rather with just all the emotions, etc.
Anyway I was just saying, half-jokingly that adding that one line...would've saved a lot of trouble and grief. But like I said, it's not like she was thinking through of all and every possibility of what would happen afterwards.
I saw someone comment earlier that that the text onscreen says 400 years while the storyteller says 500 years. It's because there was a 100-year progression with TTJ at the river. One mocking spirit voice says he's been searching for 100 years. Then comes the next time leap as written on screen, which would be 400 years from the last scene but 500 years from the events the storyteller recounts.
DG tells TTJ that too in the earlier episodes that he will become one with DG
