The opening scene is the FL's mother's dead body being pulled out of the ocean and there are a lot of clues that the story is going to get very dark. And the darkness came on gradually, increasing steadily as the story progressed. So not out of nowhere. I think people just are used to things like Crash Course in Romance where the crime is off to the left and the focus is on the romance.
The drama is such a mess. The first half was just comedy so it is so hard to take the characters seriously in…
I liked that they killed important characters because their deaths were meaningful. It really hurt when Gwangsik and Seonwoo died because we got to know them and get attached to them. So I give the writers credit for being willing to go there. Having said that, if they kill Ok-hui I will flip the fuck out ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
I'm on episode 11 right now. And drama is still genuinely gripping. Does it really take a sharp dive, or people…
It doesn't take a sharp dive, people are complaining about plot holes but it's still gripping and the performances are solid. I have a few complaints but I still absolutely love the show
I freakin' love it but whether you'll like depends on how much you don't mind swinging back and forth between quirky comedy and disturbing murder mystery. There are parts where you are literally laughing out loud but then the murder part gets super dark.
suho fans need to step off of yebun’s neck. seonwoo wanted to meet with her alone, had the murder weapon hidden,…
I wrote something similar on Reddit and below, the character made a lot of stupid decisions. Why didn't he call the police when he found the knife? Why make her come to his place at night solo when she's the likely next target of a serial killer? Why chase her with the knife????? It's actually not great writing tbh much that I love this show. I agree with you on most of the characters being well written, realistic, and multi-dimensional which is why Sunwoo's behavior stands out so much in contrast.
Seonwoo is partly responsible for the events that led up to his death. No of course he didn't deserve to die but if he had suspicions about his mother's disappearance and there's a killer loose in the town, why was he so hostile to Detective Moon? Why not team up with him the way Ye Bun did for her mother's case? Yeah it sucks to be suspected but boy you showed up in town just when the killings started and your behavior is sus af, it's not unreasonable for people to suspect you. Also, why didn't you tell Ye Bun to stay put when you know there's a killer who's probably targeting her, instead of asking her to run around solo whenever you want to see her. And when you found the knife, did it occur to you to call the police? You didn't have to call Detective Moon, call the police task force investigating the killings. Yeah he suffered a lot but he also made a lot of stupid decisions.
I finished the drama. The emotions didn't hit me as the first time I watched Someday or One day. When I watched…
This version is three hours shorter than the original and because of that the relationship between leads isn't properly developed so when the tragedy hits it doesn't land in the same way as the original. But Korea did do a good job with the college courtship scenes which you'd expect.
Wang Quan Sheng getting on the plane was always a sticking point for me even though I love this drama because he never makes an attempt to save the 100+ people who also died in the crash. Like he could've gotten on the plane and then had a screaming meltdown that forced everyone off. Even if it didn't ultimately work he would've at least tried instead of what we got which was him calmly getting on and making no attempt to save anyone.
It's a ten minute scene showing a character falling in love with another boy, getting beaten up after admitting his crush and then committing suicide. So not a BL and my least favorite part of the story.
I know InGyu liked MinJoo but I was watching a new clip Netflix released and the actors were talking about their…
I'm watching the Korean version and not getting that at all and also it would be a huge departure from the original where the 2ML notices the change in the FL and misses the Minju character.
i just started the remake, and warched the first eps, but as the reminder, please bare for the 2 eps for the original…
It's implied they will be together but we don't see it. We see the teenaged ML on a scooter with the FL as a child taking her home and having a conversation where she asks him if he has a girlfriend. There's also a short filmed special on YouTube where we see him as an adult and the FL as a high schooler working as an intern at his company.
