The show didn't leave Seri's fate ambiguous, she was sentenced to death.
Okay, THAT line of reasoning makes sense to me.

I heard that about Woman Who Swallowed the Sun. I dropped that one because it seemed they forgot to pay for good…
This one REALLY let me down, especially since I enjoyed it at first. Might try to rewatch it, though.

It's definitely better than some of the previous KBS2 daily dramas (*cough cough* The Two Sisters... *cough cough*)

I see. Is there a reason why younger Koreans want the moratorium lifted? (The US also has the same thing, except execution is left to the states.)

did you finish it? Is it worth watching?
I recommend Pink Lipstick, Glass Mask, Yellow Boots, and A Bird That Doesn't Cry! (They're much older.)

I'm still watching it, but I'd say it's worth it.

Moratorium, that means a prohibition, right? But I've seen villains get executed in dramas before (or at least the implication of it.)

Alright. So... the curtains have closed. We've finally reached the end of this wild, twisted soap opera. You know, I always get sad whenever a drama I enjoy is ending. I guess it's my mind letting me know that I'll miss it... and I honestly will miss this one. I liked the ending- and this drama overall. I literally cried once Jae-In and Do-Yun kissed and the credits rolled. Maybe I'm too sensitive and love romance more than I think I do. Anyways, the ending, like I said? Beautiful. Made me cry. How or why, I don't know.

Jae-In became chairwoman, which is great. Do-Yun went abroad for like... no reason, but it worked somehow. I loved that casual look on him. Gi-Chan's death was so tragic, I actually felt bad for him... briefly. You are not going to Heaven, man. Seri and Ms. Homeless (Sook-Ja) got EXACTLY what they deserved- Sook-Ja getting robbed was hilarious lmao I wonder who did it! Seri will die soon, so I'm comforted by that. At least Patrick and Miran are together now, too. Bo-Ram wants to be a designer? That's the cutest! 🥹 I thought Director Do and Ja-Young were gonna end up together? I'm okay with it being him and Yoon-Hee instead, though. And Ja-Young... her dementia got cured by the powerrrr of loooooveeeeee! 🎶 It's a k-drama, so I'll excuse it. Glad she's doing much better, my theory is that it's stress-induced... maybe.

Whatever happened to Yu-Kyung after 1 year, though, I wonder? Gi-Man seems happy. He doesn't need anyone for now, he may have been a douchebag, but he's adorable as a child-like character. Nara has REALLY matured! I loved seeing her development! She wasn't as bad as the other Hwangs, so I'll let her slide. I think the point of them is definitely to show nature vs. nurture, as well as the corrupting influence of wealth in general. None of them were BORN evil, they were raised to prioritize wealth and power above all by their trashy mother. Said mother has now lost everything and is on the streets, alone, ignored, and unloved. That's deep.

The actors killed it, by the way. This is my first time seeing Ham Eun-Jung and she was INCREDIBLE as Kang Jae-In. Park Yoon-Jae managed to somehow completely flip my opinion of him almost instantly. (Let's be real, I couldn't STAND his face at one point.) Seo Jun-Young I'm familiar with, he was good here. Decent. maybe. Lee Ga-Ryeong... she was good, but definitely a weaker actress compared to the other 3. Lee Bo-Hee was SO INSUFFERABLE, I had to remind myself that she was NOT a real person and NOT to punch my laptop screen 😂 now that's what you call talent! Everyone else did great, some more or less than others!

THE MUSIC!!!! I need the BGM *RIGHT NOW!* I want it all, I want it all, I want it all, and I want it NOW! 🎶🎶 The directing was rather good, too. KBS2 clearly has more budget now lol, although some sets are still reused (typical in ALL k-dramas. Yes, even your precious romance dramas.)

Overall? I have to say- KBS2, I'm very proud of you and the writer + staff. You've made a triumphant comeback after a rough few years... will a daily drama reach 15 or 20% again? We'll have to see. But Queen's House had me hooked, for the most part. And it had its flaws, but... this is definitely one of my top daily dramas, and one of the very, VERY few that gets an 8+ rating in my book. All of the characters were so complicated, they weren't one-dimensional or black & white. Even Seri wasn't, but basic? Yes. But she had deep-seated envy, which is *VERY REAL* in today's world. Could be a class difference. Could just be Jae-In being "the perfect girl". Who knows? Jae-In herself even went dark to get revenge, which I ate up, of course!

My personal rating: 9/10. Like I said, Queen's House had its flaws, but I fully enjoyed it. And it was a ball to watch! I'll miss the funny comments, but NOT the nasty/mean ones. A *few people* made the watching experience toxic, so I had to step from QH for a bit. Nonetheless, the break helped me enjoy it even more.

See ya guys at A Graceful Liar! I'll be watching that one too. ❤

They do this all the time in daily dramas, how is it any different here? Lol but I agree though.
You have to watch it to understand 😭

The best way for me to summarize the plot (w/o spoilers) is this...

So Jung Yu-Hee and Yu-Kyung are identical twins at an orphanage(? Not sure, I'm watching without subs.) They get separated when Yu-Kyung is adopted and goes to America (she has a heart condition.) They lose contact. Yu-Hee struggles A LOT. Keep in mind there's 3 MLs (and FLs.) Main ML is Yoon Sang-Woo. 2nd ML is Kim Mu-Yeol who was in love with YH but she rejected him for Sang-Woo. The 3RD ML is Min Young-Hun. After the Jung FL twins is Min Seo-Hyun, the villain (along with Mu-Yeol.)

So basically, what happens is this... YH and SW meet on an island, fall in love and have a daughter. But the daughter, Da-Eun, has a heart problem. AND SW's mom finds out about YH. Cue evil MIL trope. YH ends up leaving SW, who marries Seo-Hyun. Mu-Yeol's all mad that YH rejected him so he goes to the dark side and joins SY. BUT- SY's little sister, Yi-Hyun, falls in love with him. YH comes back into SY and SW's lives after 5 years. NOT GOOD AT ALL. Because SY wants to keep her man and her perfect life, so... things end badly for Yu-Hee. Before her disappearance, she calls YK (she is younger, YH is a few minutes older) and begs for her help. YK gets out of the US and zooms back to Korea. But when she gets there, it's too late... YH is gone. Dead? Missing? Who knows. So YK does something BOLD... takes the place of her twin sister, along with the help of her funds, a loyal secretary, and some brutality/crimes with her. Okay, PLENTY of crimes. She's arguably a villain. 😂 She's absolutely ruthless, too.

But I recommend this drama. Some parts are dated (it came out in 2009, have some sympathy lmfaoooo), but it's a good watch so far.

Milica is a crazy bitch, block him. He's a disgusting, bigoted, SEXIST pig. He always insults FLs and actresses.
Completely agree. He also has a history of attacking actresses/FLs. Not cool at all! He needs to get a life.

And he was so condescending towards me too, trying to imply that I couldn't write when I mentioned how some k-drama fans don't understand character development (not all of them, but quite a few.) Yet I've been writing for almost all my life lol. We both blocked each other... I don't wanna see his nonsense/BS in the comments of a drama that I'm enjoying.

I think you were being critical of this drama (and from what I've seen, you don't like many lol.) Nonetheless, it's a daily drama. No k-drama overall is perfect, even the best ones.
