I came here after watching and reading chinese media platforms and reviews regarding the drama and I TELL YOU…
With all due respect, you don't have to make it into a competition over which nationalities are better fans and which ones aren't. There are plenty of Chinese viewers who love the show just as much as we do, so let's pay more attention to *them* and just ignore the haters ๐
tteotm and lbfad really do have something in commonpeople only caring about the male lead and praising the male…
You're absolutely right and I wished I could give your comment more than one heart!
As for recommendations, I've heard the following are FL-centred stories. I can't be completely certain, though, because I haven't finished most of them yet and you probably know or have heard that some FLs start out smart and strong but are dumbed down for whatever reasons towards the end end of the story. But I hope you'll find something here that fits what you're looking for:
- Story of Yanxi Palace - Story of Minglan - A Dream of Splendor - Life Begins - Jun Jiu Ling - Princess Silver
Yeah, the drama toned down his evilness a lot. Heโs babygirl in comparison to the novel. I get that the book…
Everything I've seen novel readers say about the book makes me think the drama would be even more interesting if we could have gotten the novel version of TTJ and not the softened TTJ. I'm looking forward to the full and proper translation of the novel so I can see the differences for myself.
Itโs out of control my dear. I suggest coming back after youโve finished.

How many people would enjoy this show if genders are flipped and FL gets treated like ML was treated in this show?…
I don't understand the point of your comment? It seems you're saying that people justify FL's behaviour and hate ML but that's not my experience.
Everywhere I go, either here on kisskh or Reddit, most viewers actually seem to be supporting TTJ and criticizing LSS's actions. They have a lot of sympathy for TTJ but don't like how LSS treats him, neither at the beginning of the drama nor now. Granted, some people may call him a psychopath and enjoy scenes where he spits blood etc. but they definitely mean it in a loving way and because they enjoy his acting skills being shown in full range ๐
Exactly. It's very annoying but to be expected because a lot of fans of cdramas always have weird prejudices against…
I just knew LSS will get hate when this part of the story airs ๐
After years of watching dramas, I've realized that many people say they like strong and capable FL characters but only until they do something that harms or disadvantages the ML even when the FL's actions are consistent with her characterization and it makes the plot more exciting to watch.
Because it doesn't matter... no matter how good he acts, as far as she knows, because he have the devil essence/…
Doesn't one of the trailers show that she's going to exchange her immortal bones for his evil bones? It doesn't seem like she wants to kill TTJ, only the Devil God inside of him. But I haven't watched the more recent episodes yet, so I might be missing some information here.
Try thinking in her shoes, the devil lord killed her whole family. She was sent down to kill him but she did not…
After I heard from other novel fans that TTJ is way more cruel and evil in the book, I suspected the drama toned it down a lot while keeping LSS's character the same.
I'm afraid the changes to the male lead's character might make the future actions and behaviour of the female lead towards him seem illogical and unrelatable to the audience. Even now, some viewers in the past few days have been saying that TTJ is totally justified in taking revenge against the whole world and has technically done nothing wrong, and they hate it whenever LSS is even a little bit harsh towards him.
But let's see how it plays out first. There are still more than 25 episodes to go.
I donโt think she will ever forget when every single of her family died in front of her๐ ๐
Yeah, it seems some people want the FL to support and trust the ML right from the beginning on but that wouldn't make for a very interesting story in my humble opinion.
I like seeing her conflicting feelings towards him and her mission. It makes me look forward to seeing how the writers will pull off their relationship development from being enemies to lovers.
So far it was the FL who abused the ML ๐๐๐She whipped him and kept him in snow kneeling for 3 days
Ehh honestly, I don't really count that one because it wasn't our FL (Su Su) who made him kneel in snow but the real Xi Wu. Then again, Su Su did let him kneel for another day instead of telling him to stand up because she had to keep up the act of being the mean Xi Wu ๐
I feel she deserved it.Honestly his maids betrayal was his first breaking point. How much can a person indure.…
I agree with you. It's unbelievable a female viewer straight-up said the maid deserved it ๐ถ Where's the empathy for other women? Revenge can be taken in many ways. It doesn't have to be r***.
I noticed that as well. The make up maybe doesnโt suit their skin tone. Itโs too white.
Yeah, the foundation looks like a mask in some scenes and doesn't blend in well with the colour of the actors' necks. The contrast seems to be less noticeable in indoor scenes or maybe that's just me. I wished the post-production team had edited it to look more consistent.

I love the eye make-ups, though, lol.
