meh, Cnets are always complaining about something. if an actor doesn't use his original voice, he is unprofessional…
Same. And even a few international viewers on this website think his voice sounds weird. They're so used to the dubbing culture of Chinese dramas that they expect to hear certain voices and think it sounds "wrong" when an actor uses his real voice for once.
yep I was right. the criticism is all surrounding male lead's voice so far. even "hippo" trended on weibo yesterday…
Even some international viewers are pointing out his voice for sounding strange 😔 I hope the criticism doesn't prevent him from using his voice to dub his own characters in the future. I'm one of those people who definitely prefer hearing an actor's real voice over a dubbed one, especially if they're playing lead roles.
To all people, at that time of the cfy sleeping w fan, the fan is single so is he, so those haters that says cfy…
The fan is at fault for taking photos and blackmailing but her husband is the one who decided to sell them for money and the journalists actually published them. Maybe the fan knew about it and supported her husband, maybe she didn't know. At any rate, the husband and paparazzi also deserve being judged by the public as much as the fan.
am just on ep 1 and i already ask myself what is wrong with the Fl, why is she doing unnecessary things, what…
That's just how the writer decided to introduce the two side characters and their relationship to the female lead that's off to a rocky start.
Many xianxia female protagonists start out as outspoken, immature teenage girls at first and it will take half of the show for them to mature. It's just something that comes with this genre. If you can't tolerate her now, I don't think you will for at least the next 20 episodes 😅
what's up w these new Chinese dramas that are only 9 minutes each? sometimes even less? can they go back to the…
The short episode format is pretty popular nowadays and aimed at a certain audience. Some of these dramas are actually pretty good and manage to tell a whole story in a short time while some others are so low-quality, they aren't worth the time. They are here to stay so all you can do is avoid them.
Which societies label it as wrong and forbidden? Relationships and marriages with much older men are pretty normalized…
This is such a difference compared to where I live. Age gap relationships between an older man/younger woman are normalized here and you will see plenty of them around but they are also criticized for many reasons, especially the men who are involved with women much younger than themselves. Do you happen to be from a western country?
Oh the comment section is going crazy about the age gap lol.... falling for an older guy was deemed bad wrong…
Which societies label it as wrong and forbidden? Relationships and marriages with much older men are pretty normalized throughout the whole world. For example, take a look at Hollywood; it's not uncommon to see a middle-aged man with a wife or girlfriend who's at least 20 years younger.
isn't the order of cast messed up? the evil guy is ML? like huhhe's doing so much evil in the trailer and he's…
This wouldn't be the first drama to have a straight-up evil male lead. There's no unspoken rule in dramaland that says a male lead has to turn good and get the girl. A lot of viewers seem to think so, though, because you aren't the first one who is confused over the villain being labelled as the male lead this time 😄
Finally sat down to watch this drama from beginning to end. Thirty episodes in and I'm surprised by how well-paced the story is. There aren't any stretched-out arcs where the plot stagnates and is a bore to watch. On the contrary, it's very easy to get through an episode which is something that I find increasingly hard with more recent dramas.
Tbh, I stopped caring about her when I found out she only fetishizes gay men and pretty much threw Zhang Zhehan…
I'm not the person who asked but thank you for summarising the situation! I didn't know anything about it since I rarely watch her videos. Now I understand why some people in this comment chain have such a negative opinion of her.
How bad is this? That quack Avenue X won't even be bothered to mention this drama in her videos.
No offense to her subscribers and watchers but C-drama fans need to stop taking Avenue X's words and videos as the pure gospel truth. She has her own biases and preferences like everyone else and is not a neutral news source for all things surrounding C-dramas. If she doesn't want to talk about certain shows for whatever reasons, then so be it.
This might be a controversial opinion but if they can't manage to re-shoot the drama with a different male lead actor, I'd still want them to release all the film material they have. They could censor Kris Wu's face and use a voice actor so he doesn't profit from this drama. There are so many actors and staff who were part of this production. Isn't it disappointing for them that no one ever gets to see their hard work in this show?
I enjoy the drama as well because there’s no FL which really isn’t necessary here at all. The storyline and…
Well, having a FL doesn't exclude having strong brotherhood friendships. A drama can have both as long as the FL isn't written as a love interest but as a sister or co-worker with zero romantic undertones. I'm pretty sure there are K-dramas that manage to have a strong and smart FL while the two MLs are friends/partners with each other and there is no het romance😄 Most C-drama writers, however, seem to think if there's a prominent female character, she needs to be paired up with a guy. Oh well.
