welp. this morning i'm watching to ep32 with everybody else, but today is my friday, and the site i watch on already has to ep 40, and I'm not gonna torture myself when I don't have to. Don't worry, they didn't lose money off of me. I haven't had any money since before covid for anything other than dental bills, vet bills, car repairs, and the occasional pork floss bun... I haven't even had a single haircut.
They really should release all the eps now, because this is just a disaster and so all that they can do now is damage control. These eps are literally everywhere now. I mean you can pretend you don't know they're there, but the genie can't be put back in the bottle.
whoever is following the schedule out of loyalty, I applaud you for sticking to your ideals. But if all this is about is money, you can pay for it but yet still watch it now, and then just rewatch it on your platform of choice. Right?
Is this not just their karma for dripping one ep a day for a week just to stretch it out and make more money? Perhaps they have angered the gods, idk
The battle happening now is not about me. I am just a hapless bystander who can't ignore that my eps have been dropped on my friday.

For the fun story, but not ling he's best role imo just because it doesn't play to his strong points. But the STORY is really really good in a funny, sweet non-spicy way. I gave it a 9
Well since we all aired our grudges about this morning's eps, this is my grudge:
There is a sound effect that gets used in like half of all c-dramas. It's the SAME sound effect, some generic sound. I know it's the same sound, because I HATE IT. And that is the "boiling hotpot" sound.
POJ had boiled a lot of stuff in the past 27 or whatever eps, and they did NOT use that sound even ONCE, and I was so pleased, and so relieved. I cringe so hard whenever anyone in a c-drama has hotpot or boiling water.
WELL THEY USED THE SOUND in today's eps! Only for like 3 seconds, but
I am very upset regarding one fact. Our main couples chemistry is being wasted a lot. After the gua sha scene…
I'm only dissatisfied with the fact that they made Deng Kai a true villain and not just a red-flag. That means the spice content and the emotional content of the 2ML/2FL relationship is completely for nothing. Either remove the spice, or rewrite Deng Kai's role to not be pure evil.
This is probably gonna get me dogpiled on by fans, but just imho, Xi Wei and Ling He don't have THAT kind of chemistry to begin with. They have a very "best buddy" chemistry, but I don't detect any spice. I think even if they'd given ML and FL more screentime and more intimate scenes, it wouldn't really have improved matters.
Also, WHERE IS ANGRY LING HE. I thought the battle scenes were going to really go there, where he goes apesh*t with fury because someone's trying to beat up his girl. And that didn't happen the way I hoped it would.
The last comment by that acct was AI generated. And now they're trying to tone police a public forum and guide conv in the direction they want, so I'm just wondering what happens when you try to engage the account and press their points. Is the entire acct AI or did they just copypaste some slop in their last comment for some reason.

I thought it was weird how everyone is encouraging her to go into battle and join the war. That seemed propaganda-ish to me as well. If chicks wanna fight let em fight, but she didn't really want to fight. She let herself get talked into it. One of her gang lost his life over that decision.
But he repented to the Buddha and wrote stuff in his own blood and pinky promised he'd never kill again! He's going to turn over a new leaf and be a good boi from now on!
