They've only dropped to ep 17 where i'm watching. It's CRAZY how FL's performance keeps getting worse and worse, and ML's keeps getting better and better. He had some totally amazing scenes in ep 15/16.
Also in beginning of ep 15 when she's praying at the graveyard and dirty cop came up behind her and BONKED her head into the headstone, that made me laugh way harder than it should have.
There's some powerful and/or cool scenes in these eps, which is kind of incredible for a show this basically awful, that it's still going strong at this point.
im on ep 13, the shipping container fight scene was good. And it was especially good because the villain says like 'i hear she's still afraid of the dark', and he stomps on the box, and I'm like "stomp on it harder!! aaaahahahaha!"
i must say, fan zhi xin is truly a work of art. everything about him is fantastic. his looks, his screen aura,…
This project for him will be GREAT on his resume, so I'm hopeful his career will get a boost from the performance. He always plays intense, but usually he has to play a character that is more subdued or reserved. Here he plays someone extroverted, gregarious, emotional, angry, conflicted, expressive. He was awesome in his fight scenes. He's grown as an actor. You can see it in his eyes on this one when he's doing intense scenes, that he is IN that character. It's awesome. He so cool.... He makes the character feel so real. He just belongs in a better caliber of project. I am so so rooting for him.
This is one of the worst short dramas I have ever watched. What kind of writing is this? Itβs seriously so frustrating…
Because he violated the unspoken rules for happy ending for a character. He even tried praying to buddha and not ever killing again, and still could not escape his fate. His hands are too dirty as a mafia kingpin. So sad! Story creator is an emotional masochist, who would make such a gorgeous and ideal character and then just emotionally torture him all drama long.
The character needs to be adopted into another story that treats him better.
Honestly It is a bad decision from Tencent and IQyi to have decided to not realise express today.
I agree. Since what's done is done, they gotta just ask themselves "if these are the new parameters of reality, then what is the best outcome for US as a business", and they shoulda just expressed it, it would show that they're sympathetic to the fans. They're getting spoilered right and left, that's not fair. The experience of discovering the drama for themselves is being taken from them every time they accidentally hit a spoiler. Are you supposed to sequester yourselves like jury duty and just not talk to anyone or do anything for a week?
Thank you, im like one ep away from caught up, and I woke up this morning and was preparing my soul for the next…
jumbo dumbo πππ
FL has squandered a perfect man, I really hope there's some ending that redeems our suffering because omg. Stray bullet, amnesia, falling down 10 flights of stairs, getting dumped and shipped off to the UK, somethin.
Had a good laugh , well i would be generous too just for the ML and give a 8 but this FL as u said is a total…
Thank you, im like one ep away from caught up, and I woke up this morning and was preparing my soul for the next god awful episode of this, which somehow manages to get worse and worse with every ep, it's amazing actually, how it like DARES you to keep going. The drama itself is like "EFF OFF!!! GO WATCH SOMETHING ELSE!" And you're like "No. A super ultra-hottie is in this acting like mmm-baby, I aint quittin."
But so I was finding my inner peace with coffee this morning getting ready to watch the latest ep, and noticed in another tab that POJ dropped all eps?!?!? So my attention for this dumpster fire was deflated completely, and I got confused and didn't know what to watch, so I just left for work early.
I kind of HAVE to know what happens next in this appalling drama. FL's bangs are so so bothering me. She is so so dumb. omg.
I loved how them spending quality time was to first go to an orphanage to play the piano, and then running on the beach. The dubbing.... oh lord.
I mean what could possibly be in store for us next, like the dumpster is the kind with wheels, and it's slowly rolling down a hill and you're like 'that thing is gonna crash', so of course you can't look away.
EDIT: Oh l am almost caught up, and now I realize that I stopped at ep 12 at 14mins in, because the orphanage/beach scene got me good, and my brain stopped working and I paused it to savor the terribleness of it all.
For when you're ready for not even a good-bad one, but when you're just diggin thru the trash. Once I saw the worst c-drama, I WISH I could remember the name of it now, but... so it's putting me to sleep so hard. I'm like propping my own eyes open with my fingertips to keep going.
And suddenly right in the middle of this super boring piece of crap drama, the ML goes psycho in the kitchen for literally no reason at all, and there's a fat fish in the sink that's supposed to be for dinner, and he starts STABBING it with a giant kitchen knife, over and over, and raging and screaming and stuff. And that woke me the f UP. One of the greatest moments for me watching c-dramas. The Fish Attack Scene.
And I was digging thru the trash then.
The way I see it, every fresh actor and actress on the scene has to start somewhere. And every now-mega actor/actress had a first and second and third drama that probably were basically trash. Someone had to give them their first try at being in a bigger production, believe in them and give them something to learn on.
So some of the biggest names get their first breaks in trash. And sometimes there's someone in the trash who clearly doesn't belong there, and watching their careers grow is really fun and satisfying.
Imo, Zhi Jie is one of those actors, he can really pull amazing performances out of himself, even on projects where the only one taking it seriously is him. He did a damn good job in this one, AS usual. But hes so HOT as this character, WHOAAAA. I hope he gets noticed by much larger projects, he's believable and captivating, his face is expressive, he's gorgeous. He has so much charisma that he turned My Lethal Man into a cult classic... he deserves to be noticed by industry heavies.
That was a lot, I'm bored and drank coffee all day, my apologies. Gonna hit post anyways. Cheers.
My original point tho, was that sometimes dumpster diving can be fun. Think of this drama like that.

> Entertained more than the actual drama.

edit: OMGggg you made me a dumpster award?!?! That's so awesome, I shall treasure it always!!! π₯²β€οΈ

Yall, he would have made the best Sima Jiao. He needs better freaking roles.

You got the orphanage piano scene, followed by Running On The Beach... and then the club in the shot like 5 mins later is called "Solo Party"
I cant.... if this actually keeps getting worse, it's approaching good-bad territory.
