I'm only dissatisfied with the fact that they made Deng Kai a true villain and not just a red-flag. That means the spice content and the emotional content of the 2ML/2FL relationship is completely for nothing. Either remove the spice, or rewrite Deng Kai's role to not be pure evil.
This is probably gonna get me dogpiled on by fans, but just imho, Xi Wei and Ling He don't have THAT kind of chemistry to begin with. They have a very "best buddy" chemistry, but I don't detect any spice. I think even if they'd given ML and FL more screentime and more intimate scenes, it wouldn't really have improved matters.
Also, WHERE IS ANGRY LING HE. I thought the battle scenes were going to really go there, where he goes apesh*t with fury because someone's trying to beat up his girl. And that didn't happen the way I hoped it would.

So I watched FL take off her robe and say "marry me, because i've already lived this reality once, and it ends bad for both of us if we don't get married" or some sh*t.
And then it did like a rewind to the prev life and I HATE time skip ANYTHING, ughhh so I was like skip ahead skip ahead skip ahead jesus how long is this past life flashback anyways, one ep, two eps, four eps.... and I was like did I miss where Reality A came back into the story?
How long does the flashback of Reality B last?
Somebody help me figure out what's going on so I know what i should watch slow, and what i should skip. I HATE TIMESKIP but I LOVE ZI XIAN
I don't care what anybody says, his performance in Love and Bid Farewell was one of the best things I've ever seen. He's the hardest working ML in the biz, he will do literally any size project. And sometimes he doesn't give it his all. But when he is focused, he is capable of amazing amazing performances. I want to see him cast in bigger projects more often.

Amen to that. I'm not too proud to dumpster dive, baby. This one is full on trash, but Zhi Jie's possibly best performance is sitting in it, whaddya know. He's another one that needs to be cast in bigger and beefier projects. He did good on this one. So ironic that his best role is in his worst drama. Kinda weird.

Its red-flag ML girls like me that love this ML. There are so many rl reasons why, but we could just chalk it up to you probably having a more healthy well adjusted childhood/love life than me, which is a good thing. We red flag lovers our wiring is all messed up i think.
I feel the oxytocin part of the chemistry and not the dopamine part. But the way i see it is this... chemistry…
but og was like "I like FL with 2ML" so what planet did we land on. Deng Kai was SO GOOD they have to keep his screen time to a minimum or else it just turns into the Deng Kai Show, his charisma is so off the charts, and I was stoked because I don't usually see him paired with someone he has good chemistry with, and he REALLY did with Snow Kong. Gotdang, it's too bad his character is literally actual villain.
