This drama made me realize that I have a problem.
I have Ling He Impairment Syndrome. Unfortunately incurable. Picked that up watching SOKP. I also have red-flag syndrome. Also incurable. But I've had that for a long time. Some of us have crappy rl fathers, and it messes up your wiring. I can't watch a green-flag fluff-fest, it makes me want to gag. Healthy romances are so boring.
Try The Double and Story Of Kunning Palace, and maybe My Journey To You or Till The End Of The Moon, or When destiny Brings The Demon. You saw Blossom, you saw The Long Ballad, and LLTG, so there's not much out there that compares that you haven't seen.
I was hoping they'd do like a re-telling of the arc between Emperor Xia Jing Yan and Princess Susha from Fated Hearts, and fix the heartbreak that caused some of us, with a nice red-flag 2ml story BUT THAT AINT GONNA HAPPEN NAO, makes me so sad! YA CAN'T HOLD A KNIFE TO YOUR OWN SON'S THROAT ya crazy freak omgggggggg so much why?!??!
he put a blade to his kid's throat at their first real meeting.... stick a fork in it. it's toast. Too bad, because he's SO HOT, but you can't come back from that.
Hidden love has 28k comments. This is gonna blow past that for sure, it's not even halfway over yet. Hidden Love…
I think that depends entirely on how yandere/obsessed they decide to make Xie Zheng. People like EPIC romance. A good story is nice, but that's not usually what gets the repeat rewatches...
I forgave gossip granny since she died trying to protect Changning and her grandson.
I kept thinking "granny was right, she was a jinx." Trippy how it's almost like a part of granny knew it would come to this over FL's drama. If FL hadn'tve been brought to that town, granny would ultimately have lived out her life normally.
has the comment section reached a all time record high yet? becuz I tell you this comment section is explosive…
Hidden love has 28k comments. This is gonna blow past that for sure, it's not even halfway over yet. Hidden Love was controversial so it has a lot of comments, there were constant fights in comments on that page about FL's age.
he wasn't the only one after her, her place got raided twice just while he was staying with her, and her parents had just died from a raid that came before he showed up. And it wasnt crazy lil bro that was behind it. ML already knew that someone was after her from earlier eps when he was informed that he wasn't the apparent target of the raids, she was. And yet still he left. All that sh*t that happened afterwards was the gods punishing Xie Zheng for LEAVING HIS WOMAN. NEVER LEAVE YOUR WOMAN.
- he told her he’s leaving (but he told her from the beginning) - she said sign the divorce paper so of course…
exactly, who is tending to the pigs. And the sister hellooo. He knows very well she can't just say "okay". Maybe they could have talked it out later, but time ran out. His bois were all outside of town literally sitting there waiting on him like "lets goooo", and he probably didnt fight too hard on it because he knew when he said it it wasn't something he thought out or consulted with her ahead of time about. He hadn't thought it through,
BUT I MEAN he really REALLY hadn't thought it through!!!!!! Because at this point he knows someone is after HIS WOMAN, and he really thinks she's safer at home like a sitting duck!?!??!?!?! HA!

SHE SHOULDA GONE WITH HIM. I said that so many times over the course of the last ep to the screen, "you shoulda gone with him".
this is how I see it. Maybe I'm wrong, but this is how I see it. He told her earlier to "dream big" about a reward, and she just kept asking for more and more pigs. Her horizons for herself are so limited, and her self esteem has taken some hits. He says "come with me" and to her that's a stupid thing to say. She is a package deal, she comes with a kid and some pigs and an aunt and uncle and a house deed and a restaurant. What is he even talking about? Come with him? What?
Well just before that he'd said some mean sh*t. So did she, but he was more vicious than her because his feelings are stronger than hers and he lashed out unthinkingly. Well it is a scientific fact that females experience every emotion for approximately three times as long as men. So he said hurtful stuff, she said hurtful stuff, and he's forgotten about it, but she hasn't. So her pride, and just confusion, takes over, and she storms off in a huff.
He hasn't packed his stuff up, she thinks he's coming back to the house to at least get it. So maybe she thinks she has time to think it over, and more time to talk it out.
After he leaves, the conscription happens, and uncle is taken away. Then after that, QianQian decides to leave. This is all putting pressure on her to do something outside her comfort zone and grow and evolve. She doesn't want to. She likes her pig farm. She likes her life. But bit by bit, her safe zone is being ripped away from her, and soon this will make her very fekkin pissed off. And the knives will come out.
She just doesn't want to go. She will have to be forced by fate to leave her comfort zone behind and follow her heart. What we see now is resistance and reluctance to change.
I just got this feeling that Deng Kai threw his entire heart and soul into this role and he's gonna leave me **devastated**. ughhhhhhh I can feel my heart getting flattened already. he deserves the best role of his career, I'm so happy for him right now.
This legit might be the best Chinese Drama I've ever watched. Please don't let me down in the second half. Keep…
I have a friend i just recc'd this show to. I texted "This is in the top 3 best c-dramas ever, hands down" but then I delet.... because there's still time to mess some stuff up. I HOPE THEY DONT. and if they don't mess anything up, then I'll just have to figure out how to give this 11/10. Because jesus. I am on my 3rd rewatch, doing ep 1 again. Everything is so beautiful. All the classic elements are there. There is the tiniest hint of cheese, just the barest touch. It has that thread of dark running through it I can't live without. It's obsessive, sweet, aaaaaaaaaahhahhahghhgh how come it's SO FRIGGIN GOOD?!?! The cast is perfect, the pacing is perfect, everybody's hair and makeup are perfect. It's so magical.

Deng Kai NEEDS a badass ML role after this...
We got rookie numbers. We gotta boost those numbers.
*cries in justwhy*
