This is my first daily drama and can't believe I stuck with it since the start, and that next week it will be ending.
It is not perfect by any means - but was super addictive, even with the whole overdramatic storyline. This is such a contrast to what I usually like - short format dramas + logical crisp stories. Guess, even after decade of watching K-dramas, I still can find new genres/format entertaining!
Okay - so I need to rant about Se Young and how the drama is giving her time/episodes to play a victim.
1. Even though she was gaslighted by her mom, we cannot neglect the fact that her own actions are not that great. She has done bad and for that she should pay. 2. I get it that Ji Seok has feelings for her = but then why does he allow her to say all these things to him? That he used her and abandoned her, hasn't she done that a lot of times herself? 3. Why does she keep screaming?
For me, someone as spoilt as her should get a tight slap and be put behind bars along with her mother. They were 50-50 accomplice in many things.
Isn't it Kim Young Kwang's first apperance with a historical/sageuk look? And agree with all the comments preceeding mine - he deserves more projects as main cast and that too with a better frequency!
Thanks for your comment! The article was actually written 4 years ago, and the 'rising star' label was fitting…
Ahh thanks for clarifying! Yes, makes sense with that context. That's a long time it took to publish - but thanks for writing it, always love to read about one's favorite artists <3
As many of us suspected, they are trying to make Evil brat daughter a more sympathetic character. At least she…
I honestly don't want her to have a redemption arc, but as I had thought very early on in the drama they would do it so as to bring her mother's crime into light and for Ji Seok & her to have a happy or some realistic amicable ending...
It is heartbreaking - and yet I love it. Logically it should have bittersweet but healing ending - but I am still hoping for a miracle and wishing they have a truly happy ending where all are alive and well.
Does anyone know why does Bae Won Bae's hair styles keep changing? It is ridiculously funny - but why is being done! Cause he is acting like a spy at times? LOL XD

The blond look is new and refreshing, and she is cute as always!

(Please turn back time)
The rating is also reflecting better at 8+
Was so sad to see it being rated 7.1 when the drama aired on 4 April 2025.
