Thank you! Yang Ding Chen and He Xing Ming should've BEEN in jail. It's not like the Rong family is powerless. So why do they keep letting the men stay after ATTEMPTED MURDER? That's why it escalated to actual murder. I thought Shan Bao was going to be strong, but she's only "surface strong". She's all talk, no action.
You have a good point about the ML too. I can understand if he gets away with talking back to Shan Bao in private because she knows he's an important official, not a servant, but in public it doesn't make sense that he's giving orders and talking back to the guests. Even if he's clearly favored by Shan Bao. He's basically her mouthpiece, but she's the one who should be giving the orders. I understand that the writers wanted to make her "elegant", but elegant doesn't mean standing there quietly while your "servant" speaks for you.
First, the beginning was already confusing as hell. But that't sort of part of Cdrama beginnings. Just, to me,…
I do like the main leads' chemistry, but it's being negatively affected by the subpar writing. I'm baffled at some of the decisions the screenwriter's made since this seems like more of a big budget production.
I'm gonna stick with the drama for now because there are still some things I'm curious about, but I can't say I'm not disappointed. It started out so good.

I just commented above you and we have similar concerns. I understand everything that's going on, but the writing is VERY inconsistent and doesn't make sense.
I'm on ep 15, but unfortunately the writing is still pretty illogical.
The person below is asking if they're the only one confused by the drama, and I'm about to ask if I'm the only…
Okay, so I know the Rong family has to treat Yang Ding Chen and He Xing Ming with a level of respect because they're from prominent families, but it comes to a point where the screenwriter assumes I'm dumb. Even by the rules of polite society for that time period, the Rong family would definitely be allowed to kick out prominent guests if they've repeatedly been proven to poison other guests, harm them, and sow general discord in the mansion.
He Xing Ming was even CAUGHT trying to taint the water in the Rong's FREAKING well (which would DESTROY the tea plants on their property and harm their business), but they still let him stay????? Huh???? That's nonsensical! Absolutely ridiculous. Not only did they let him stay after all that, they were about to allow him to marry into the family! I'm sorry, but this is braindead writing. Even if the 2nd and 5th sister wanted to use him to hurt Shan Bao, Grandma Rong should've overrode the rule that allows the sisters to pick their husbands in this instance because the dude is LITERALLY TRYING TO HARM THE FAMILY. I could say the same thing for Yang Ding Chen, and yes Grandma Rong WAS upset about him, but at least he didn't try to DESTROY THEIR WELL WATER AND LIVELIHOOD. I'm really disappointed by the logic in this drama because I thought it was going to be clever. I thought the characters were going to be clever. Instead the screenwriter is asking me to go along with things that don't make sense because they can't think of another way to keep the villains close by and make them do their villainous deeds.
I can't believe the 6th sister died because of everyone else being an idiot, and letting two crazy, dangerous men live on their property instead of simply kicking them out. Heck, if Yang had been kicked out earlier, he wouldn't have been able to blackmail Shan Bao into marriage.
The person below is asking if they're the only one confused by the drama, and I'm about to ask if I'm the only one questioning the writing LOL. I understand you have to suspend your disbelief to a certain extent whenever you engage with fiction, but this is too much. It's to the point where it makes the Rong women look stupid when I thought they were supposed to be intelligent:
Is the ML a dom? I ended up dropping the webtoon, but he gave very sub energy for quite a few of the earlier episodes/chapters…
Yeah, I know you meant LJS gives off sub energy, and I agree. I thought the ML in the webtoon was a sub, so I thought it was going to work, but if he's a dom, then it might not. Guess we'll just have to see.
I pictured actors like Byeon Woo seok and Moon Ga young for these roles. I’m not sure why they chose him. This…

Currently I have watched until episode 9 and here's my opinions.1. At first, I enjoyed the relationship between…
Omg, I didn't realize Ms. Zhuo was getting a full storyline! I thought she'd just be a guest role. I'm even more excited now! I'm really enjoying this drama so far. It's a solid jiejie romance.
I also like slow burns, so I'm glad as the audience we're going to see the FL's slow transition from viewing the ML as a younger brother to a potential love interest. That's realistic. Any noona/jiejie romances where the FL forms a crush on the ML after a few episodes when he's supposed to be like a "little brother" to her is bad writing and character development. (Unless the entire series is five episodes total or something. If it isn't, then it should be a gradual process).
So needless to say we are all here for the bl story line and everyone skipped the other story🤣 im here for…
Nope, the main storyline is super cute too. For people who like jiejie romances like me, it's a nice slow burn packed with lots of details, good banter, and warm chemistry.
If you ask people who've dated a lot or have been happily married for a long time, quite a few of them will tell you the best partner isn't often the one you have the most sexual tension with.
I haven't seen the reunion episodes, so I have no opinion on them at the moment, but I'm extremely satisfied with how this season ended. I love when people use a combination of their head + heart to make decisions. "Follow your heart" is a popular saying I've personally never bought into. You have both a brain and heart for a reason, and they should be working TOGETHER to keep you happy, healthy, and sane. I think a lot of the contestants used both this season, so it was refreshing to see.
It really felt like this season had it all: interesting contestants (Min Gee, Jae Jin, Soo Bin, Mina Sue + Igeon—whether you love 'em or hate 'em) varied relationship dynamics, and fun new games/challenges (aka the photoshoot + the changes to the Truth Game earlier on).
I don't know if I'll watch the next season (because I still find a lot of the actual day-to-day conversations dull. It's not necessarily the contestants' fault since Korea is all about image), but I was satisfied with this one. If I see a lot of buzz surrounding the next season, I might change my mind and tune in.
I can't blame you with how many big-name legal dramas have come out in recent years. Vincenzo, The Devil Judge,…
Not to mention police procedurals and thrillers that feel like law dramas because they have a main/supporting character who is a lawyer.
But you said it perfectly: there isn’t enough variety to keep them interesting—especially since K-dramas rarely take big creative risks, so all these law dramas end up feeling similar at their core. The characters do too: you’ve always got a rookie, a lawyer who plays by the rules, and/or an “anti-hero” lawyer who’s almost a criminal themselves.

When you watch this, lemme know.
