I can't decide if these are fight scenes or dance scenes.
i prefer gritty fight scenes as well but i really enjoy luo yunxi bringing his dancing talent to the show because i mostly see that on the female side rather than male. itâs nice to see a male thatâs get be more elegant and fairy-like.
Okk so i have a question to people who are watching this drama currently . Is there big focus on romance because…
no itâs not a romance drama and there isnât even a true couple otherwise romance would be in the tags. other wuxia dramas which has small romance side plots get tagged with romance but this one didnât. neither did mysterious lotus casebook.
Ashui, why are you even here?! Getting in the way of our bromance!
I don't think she is in the way. It's not like they are together and he does not show any interest in anything besides his past & his senior brothers. I think we should avoid these kinds of comments because it acts as fuel for people to attack non-romance enjoyers and even worse go after people who enjoy queer or queer-coded content with their homophobia.
Umm been wondering why ppl donât want romance in historical dramas, yes it gets boring to just have a romantic…
Most dramas with a martial arts/journey/adventure kind of theme are not good at executing romance as a side plot. Romance needs time to develop so when it's just thrown in there to fill the quota it is usually poorly written or feels forced. There is a lot of plot already and taking up time for a mediocre romance subplot detracts from the world-building. Not every story needs to contain romance. Some stories capture a part of life where a character is single or focus on the many other types of human relationships that exist outside of having a partner.
I know we are all complaining that we've only been getting 1 ep a day but as someone so obsessed with this and…
mango released 3 episodes today but won't have any for the weekend. everywhere else gets 1 episode per day so by monday everyone will be on the same episode. 1 episode monday - wednesday for everyone then back to 2 episodes per day.
He starts of sort of bad but than he begins to work together with the ML and the good guys. right not he acts…
there are a lot of characters and scheming in the show but tang lici has his crew which includes chi yun and shen langhun. there are other friends who are with the group intermittently including zhong chunji, ah shui and gu xitan. the main antagonist group is fengliu shop which includes liu yan, miss hong, xifang tao and the leader who we just met gu mudan. there are also other factions that may or may not be on tang liciâs side depending on their own view. we meet new sect members every few episodes as well, sometimes on the âgoodâ side sometimes working with âevilâ side. it all depends.
1 episode today as well? Whatâs going on? Are they doing final edits or is this how MangoTV shows are aired?
the drama started airing on streaming platforms first but now the cable tv broadcast has start so they are probably letting the tv schedule catch up with the online schedule. itâs back to 2 episodes per day on november 6
If A-Shui is flat as a character then the rest of the female in this drama are dead weight..
I would hope there is some catch to how flat her affect is throughout the show. I think spy is correct given the conversation between the villains in ep 14. But even then if she's hiding something, I would expect some more conflicted expressions from her. We mostly just see her look sad and cry. Maybe her character is about depression. And I'm not even joking because I have no idea why she takes up screen-time with zero expression on her face when not crying.

Disagree completely.
Zhong Chunji has her own story, motives, morals etc. We see her struggle with her position as a female branch head in her sect and getting diminished by older men for her youth and social class. We got a backstory showing how much she struggled, getting sold as a child ghost bride and then being used as bait by boys in their gang to steal food and then taking all the blame. Despite all these things she has chosen to be a hero, she is always in the front lines investigating and helping civilians.
Xifang Tao we have not seen much of yet but the intrigue and poise she brings to the screen is mesmerizing. Despite being a villain/antagonist, she is always there to support women. She has defended Miss Hong from Liu Yan when she was being attacked and tries to look out for her best interest when it comes to her toxic love. She also protected Bai Su Che by stopping a man from beating on her and giving her medicine to heal; demonstrating she's a multi-layered character despite being on the side of evil.
Miss Hong falls more into stereotypes and has the most similarities with Ah Shui. One-sided devotion towards someone who has many other things on his mind. Her relationship w/ Liu Yan is toxic yet she still stays despite being advised to leave him. Instead of waffling about the way we have seen with Ah Shui, she actually goes on the front lines and fights. She is much more involved in the plot despite some of hte cliche character writing.

1 episode per day from 10/30-11/5
2 episodes per day starting 11/6
Most likely it's to let the TV broadcast catch up with the online broadcast.
