Honestly I wouldn't skip the first 9 episodes, the ML grows up quickly episode 3 onwards in my perspective and his protective attitude towards A Yin really made him grow on me quite quickly. And you will miss a lot of their relationship development if you skip to 10. The first 2 episodes were slow for me but the rest really got me hooked lol.

This drama is one of those shows that makes me feel a lot of emotions, I've already cried a few times and ready to cry more.

I've been really enjoying this drama, at this point I just go from one Lusi couple to the next because she is so great with all her ML's

But her and WAY seem to have a specially chaotic bond LOL - they also seem very comfortable with one another.

I see a lot of people below saying the story isn't anything new but I think it has a fresh spin on fantasy. First of all this show has a female CEO, she is a bad ass character with a slightly dark side to her and I like that. He tries to come across as tough but we've seen that he seems really focused on just doing his job and staying low key and enjoying his life ( I don't see the same arrogance or ego that I usually see in ML's in dramas like this from him). He is silly and slightly awkward if I am being honest.

I love their visuals together. They are a stunning couple, has good chemistry and the music/cinematography is their scenes together is beautiful. They make me feel their chemistry which is what I always look for in a drama. Plus I like that it seems to be a she fell first, he falls harder storyline. The comedy being imbued in the storyline is a bonus. I am excited to see where this drama goes.

Oh man I've heard about the fan war stuff from Twitter. I had no idea there was so much that went behind the scenes for all that stuff.

To be clear I am not a ZLY fan, I am a Zhao Lusi fan and hearing all that stuff made me so sad :( . I'm an international fan but still from twitter I see how much hate Zhao Lusi gets.

agreed about the second leads plot! I am hooked on their story. I think maybe because the SML seems right on par with the SFL (in terms of her cunningness etc.) its interesting to see how it might play out

I am only halfway through episode 4, but I really like Gong Shang Jue's character. I find him less naive than the ML and I like how strategic, cautious and skilled he seems. I haven't figured out in terms of a gut feeling if he seems like a 'good' or evil character.

I do like both female spies. They are strong capable women and that's refreshing but I guess as the story progresses it might be not be as easy to like them as they start plotting and carrying out their missions.

I do like Gong Zi Yu. He's handsome and thoughtful but is gullible. The scenes between him and the elder sister are funny.

Sorry I really can't comment because I didn't know about any of the historical context or much about the Chinese entertainment industry to be honest. But that sounds pretty messed up.

I am excited about My Journey to You though. It is very interesting so far and even if it doesn't have a romance angle I find the scripts world building pretty intriguing. But I am only on episode 2 so far haha

I am only on episode one, but all things considered this is such an interesting drama. I love how different this female lead is portrayed from other typical heroines. And the acting, special effects, music, fighting, costumes and cinematography so far really hasn't let down.

One of the first C-dramas I watched and the reason I got into them was because of Princess Agents so I am excited for a spy drama type of storyline. But now when I try to rewatch Princess Agent I struggle because things have come so far since 2017. I think even acting now is less wooden and has a more real and human feel to it. But I am VERY excited for The Legend of Shen Li to see how the pair will do in their next drama together.

I am so excited for Story of Kunning Palace as well!!!! As a new fan of his I'm glad we have some good projects to look forward to :D

I saw that when I was creeping on the leads next projects and I watched the trailer!!!! I'm sooooooo excited🤗🤗🤗🤗. What an interesting character for Esther to take on as well! I can't wait! I guess we will get best of both worlds haha :D. I haven't watched any of the SML's previous work, have you?

I've seen rumours about Lusi joining her next filming crew in Sept-ish. Do we know anything more concrete, do we know what her next project is? I see a lot of unconfirmed dramas listed here (at least I don't think they are confirmed?).

I usually see on twitter what is coming down the pipeline for Lusi and this year things have been strangely quiet but she is super popular so I'm a bit confused?
