i think the moviemakers rather relied on music and loud sound effects to make an impact on the audience. i watched it in theaters so i felt like the most reactions came out of the audience when there was some loud sound effects or thrilling music involved. i didn’t really see any reactions from the audience regarding the movie visuals, but there were so many scenes that had potential to get gasps if they did cgi and camerawork better

it didn’t really impress me either. majority of it was iffy cgi that felt kind of outdated? like the type of cgi you would see in a 2017 movie rather than one today, i think realistic cgi would have done wonders to this film. for the scenes without 80% cgi, the lighting and camerawork felt like an average kdrama, nothing special

i still think it's a decent watch, but only because i have never read the webtoon and don't have anything to reference to. but as someone who was an avid fan of the agggtm books, and then watched (and hated) the agggtm tv show, I totally understand where these negative reviews are coming from.

watched it today. as someone who hasn't read the webtoon, i thought the premise was pretty interesting. but the story, plot, and characters, none of it seemed fledged out enough. the cgi bothered me a little bit too, i feel like they spent too much money on the cast and had to cut some corners on the cgi effects. i think this would have been better suited for a drama series rather than a movie because of how extensive the og webtoon is (250+ chapters), like i doubt they were able to include much of anything from the webtoon.

i always wondered why sunwoo was so quiet about his life on social media and only posted his cat lmaoo he rlly used that to his advantage and they kept their relationship hidden for a decade!!! they looked so good together in abiding love dandelion <3

yep this is my feeling. if youre going to extend the show at least show something different and give viewers some satisfaction. but with how theyre making the series, and allegedly planning to make a USA version, and other spin offs (alleged, not sure if its confirmed), it seems theyre trying to make squid game something like final destination or Saw, just a display of people dying again and again, and in Squid Game's case, rich people also watching it.

im glad they are both starting to make their comeback in the romcom setting after a long time!
