Why do I see it as flirting? Because, according to me “flying bird” imagery can be connected to the classical Chinese poet Tao Yuanming (陶渊明) of the Jin dynasty, particularly his poem “Drinking Wine: No. 5” (饮酒·其五).
For me flying-bird imagery represents a lonely heart looking for its soulmate or counterpart. In the classical poem, the birds return to the mountains to rest together. So when Ji Zongjun asks “Am I your flying bird?” I read it as “Am I the bird that belongs with you?” That's why fans were going crazy about their ship as they think that ring is a love token of shi yuhao.
Chang yang according to me added fuel to the fire by doing this and also it fits story as well as according to me Qing lang is a stressed, exhausted celebrity who feels trapped by his toxic fame and crazy internet fans. He is seeking freedom. By asking "Am I your flying bird?" Ji Zongjun is asking if he can be the source of absolute freedom, healing, and escape that qing lang desires.

Ep3, i have lot to say but first thing has to be that after my gut feeling of whole termite mushrooms that why would there be any dedicated ep with that title and why in the world this termite mushrooms are everywhere, after scratching my head i accidentally found my ans.

Ep27-28 review. There were sweet moments. I liked it. But my heart aches for Zhou and Wen. I mean Zhou has spent nearly more than half of his life grieving in the loss of his wife whom he hasn't married also. He could have married someone else. But love is not that easy. And even if love can happen again idts a love that brings u sense of home is something one can replace. And Zhou is not even trying. He is looking for closure. He is looking for a way to punish all those person who caused her death. That's the driving force for him to live. I will be appreciating miao jing here she don't let him feel lonely. She keeps an eye on him by giving him tea Wen used to love, food he like. It's always good that someone is there for him. They have truly found family and home. I love how family is not defined by blood ties here but a place one can return to, a safe space.
That being said i am glad that story finally showed what happened back in arson case. Just we are yet to resolve the mystery of Jin country.
I loved how their relationship has come to the point of i want to stay beside u forever. And that's a development. I think story focuses more on present healing in family and home and not in showing tragedy. That explains why this story is written in this way.

Because just like the relationship between tea tree and wild grass , the relationship of two people also best grow in symbiosis. Too giving and it will ruin the relationship. Not investing at all also ruin the relationship. One needs to maintain the balance of giving and taking in relationship for it to work. Something that was the story of qing lang and shi yuhao? Qing lang was too giving and shi yuhao was too extracting. The balance was what they never achieved.

Somewhere the chang yang words of symbiotic relationship with nature ached me. It made me to again sit with the reality that I have witnessed everyday since childhood. Because the comparison was also between mine owners and tea farmers and not with mine farmers/workers and tea farmers. Contrast is that tea farmers pluck out grasses beside tea tree only when it's in excess and it's harming tea tree. It's a protection. But historically mine owners has never cared about protection from harm, if nothing they have been criticised since earlier times by first killing sparrows. It's also a protection but not coming from sense of survival but originating from greed.
What kind of life do I actually want to cultivate( love, care, bond, skills), rather than merely extract rewards from( money, fame)? Is the ques i see after this. Looks like self reflection is the chapter that I will learn while watching this series. Very rarely a drama comes that does the job of mirror. Looks like this is one of them. It's not about hidden meaning behind these poetic Convo but even the literal meaning is the harsh reality check.
Ep25-26 review. Earlier in ep25 i felt anger on miao jing's mother. She just wanted to do things which she can remember from miao jing's childhood in those two hours. But can two hours compensate or satisfy anyone? No. But atleast its a last act of service. I have always wondered miao jing always thought her mother never loved her. And in Tuli's case the comparison or parallels were shown which made me firmly believe this idea. Miao Jing actually craved for her mother's love whole life. She actually despite having chen yi can't help but still feel childhood as bad. Because mother's love is mother's love. And tuli is just diff. She is ready to face life and death and sacrifice everything for her son. And work hard for money even without father. Looking back this is i believe what miao jing also wanted. Not immense money. She can live with her mother with less money with struggles but it's her mother who mattered to her. Which she never got.
Thanks to this arc, somewhere she knows she was always been loved. Just not in a way she wanted. Now I look back to her mother i feel yes she craved money, yes she loved herself more, yes she wanted well wealthy life, yes she is selfish to leave her daughter without her. But somewhere i think she loved money and since she loved miao jing, she was used to show her love through money. All her "i am giving u money take this, that" was never only out of money but deep down it's because of love...just that she never understood emotional connection also matters. In her last moments, she was the one regretting all her choices made. She had son. But her son never came to show up to see his step mom not her husband or ex husband in funeral. It's only miao jing and chen yi. Chen yi never considered her mother neither she as they never was. But i think she really wanted to marry chen yi's father to escape poverty but his father never gave her job and good life so she also never asked and set out to earn money by keeping this in dark with chen yi's father. Now that she married in city still she never got the support. Her whole life was gone wrong case.
With miao jing she remembered how she sent miao jing to her cousin house and in case of grandmother. I too feel that paper money was just an excuse or beneath that word she also deep down wanted miao jing to come because she don't want her daughter to forget her.
I feel for miao jing. Her mother came back to only go. She has to see her own mother like that. She has to see and hear her mother talking about grip reaper and paper money. See other daughter and mother part ways and feel the pain. She was not crying but there worse. It's not that she felt nothing. It's just that she don't know how to process this. And that's sad.
Ik miao jing mother was not a good mother. But i still cried in this arc.
